  1. Sure it's not your browser, or some kind of server issue (loads fine for me, but maybe not US folks)? Because I can see plenty of American people commenting that they can see the app or have already got the demo.
  2. Facebook 'game' for early 360 demo access or Normandy avatar item. In case you have nothing better to do on a Sunday. http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/121/1218525p1.html
  3. Do Americans use the term 'mardy'? It's probably more a regional (mostly northern) and age thing (said to kids) here, but if a person is 'getting mardy' they are getting moody/frustrated or throwing a tantrum.
  4. Well, I'm never gonna make it with Yvonne Strahovski in real-life. So stick that in your logic machine and...reason with it.
  5. While trying to get a snapshot of who Miranda was blasting (it looked a bit like TIM, but I don't think it is), I got this. That's not a femshep!
  6. Yeah, you're thinking of a different area. May have to explore this new bit, maybe take some screencaps.
  7. I suggest you watch the video again, Yant. Specifically the bit where she mentions 'equality'.
  8. Hmm, I'm not sure. That was deeper in the forest, and up a hill, isn't it? I think this ran off of the small bit where the people were gathered round the fire and that guy is telling stories, and it dips down, plus I seem to recall seeing a body hanging from a tree.

  10. Another day on Kotaku, another DocSeuss comment about FPSs/post about sexism/de-starring (Duke. RIP!!).

^Yeah. I'm not disagreeing with you but there's always that line you can't cross without getting de-starred. We've all been there haha.

I agreed that I crossed a line, but honestly I feel much better for crossing it. I've never been one to hold back when it comes to speaking my mind, and if given the chance, I would say it all again.

FDS, I wasn't say Doc was de-starred (it was Duke) for a post about sexism; his was a comment on that post. I was saying there are three separate things that are a regular fixture on Kotaku.

  11. That part was included at my friend's wedding last year. I can't say the thought of yelling "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" didn't cross my mind (and I wasn't even drunk, or an uncle).
  12. If you never played the Hot Pursuit games (seriously, all three I can think of), you missed out.
  13. Gentlemen Broncos. A little-known Jared Hess film (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre). Really, this is right on the edge of bad. It's almost like he made Napoleon Dynamite again but with almost no charm. I mean, I didn't like Napoleon Dynamite that much on my first viewing but something drew me back. The bits with Jemaine Clement and an incredibly silly, posh-sounding English accent are good, and there are some good moments with Jennifer Coolidge and Mike White, but Sam Rockwell pretty much goes to waste. The main character's crappy novel plays out in (purposefully low production value) segments throughout the film but they fail to reach any comedic highs in a way something like Garth Marenghi's Darkplace did.
  14. So, first he goes around endorsing every store on the Citadel as his favourite plus he's not even a Commander?! You should get Renegade points for that right there.
  15. I don't recall the Commander stuff in ME2 (but I guess that makes sense "I'm Commander Shepard and this is...") but, and I could be wrong, I believe... (DLC spoilers follow)
  16. It's part of the reason why a lot of people in the creative industries want to go independent and own IPs. I'm not sure if it's a recent shift overall, but digital distribution has made it much easier for game developers to go independent. I imagine music artists can find ways to make that work too. It's just it can be quite a big risk.
  17. Got some little bits of information just through checking the lead designer Prestion Whatamaniac's Twitter feed. Galaxy at War will affect all save files: https://twitter.com/#!/PWatamaniuk/status/162546345012498434 Apparently, the Paragon/Renegade system has been revamped. Not sure how significant changes will be: https://twitter.com/#!/PWatamaniuk/status/162545846028734464 Reworked armour powers. Presumably for that risk/reward approach they talked about: https://twitter.com/#!/PWatamaniuk/status/161648779307655168 Squadmates will have different outfits with different stat bonuses: https://twitter.com/#!/PWatamaniuk/status/142265031021707264 Normandy upgrades from ME2 will have an impact: https://twitter.com/#!/PWatamaniuk/status/128116919323729920
  18. I'm with T-Next. It's not about the developers, as in people, getting royalties from their work. It would be akin to expecting the grip on a film to having a percentage of the takings. They've already been paid for their work in producing the thing. The most relevant aspect would be the IP owners and whatever deal a developer made with a publisher. That's what the list should be establishing and investigating.
  19. They do look remarkably like Skrulls but the producer, Kevin Feige, has said:
