  1. I'd hope not. But chances are they'll have it on there to begin with, for a certain period (I seem to recall reading publishers think it is critical during the first couple of weeks), and then act all "Oh, whoops" and change it, satisfied that it had done its job... It was reported recently that Ubisoft considered their DRM a 'success'.
  2. Be thankful you're not getting the PC version.
  3. Obviously, they think it's a system-seller. http://whatculture.com/gaming/batman-arkham-city-reviews-to-give-perfect-score.php Not long until we find out if this is true...
  4. Wasn't that only because of the usage of a cathedral in Manchester? Not anything to do with English troops or whatever. If there is more to it, do tell.
  5. Correction: Co-op can affect the SP game.
  6. I tend to look around for reviews. I like Eurogamer because they don't pull their punches. Same goes for RPS, really. Giant Bomb do some entertaining Quick Looks, so I usually check them and Game Trailers to see what the game is actually like. Occasionally I do check IGN Video Reviews if I'm impatient. Rare instances I might see what Total Biscuit has to say. As far as general features go, I tend to check around and a few of the biggies pop up on N4G (itself a collection of news from all around, obviously).
  7. Ah, yes, the source of all great wisdom.
  8. New section of the game, here! http://www.giantbomb...ighter/17-5046/ Is Nathan talking to himself, or are those his thoughts? And if they're his thoughts, why are they out of breath?
  9. You probably will have seen these sections before, but if you are trying to avoid seeing too much then you'll have to avoid this. A very entertaining talkthrough though. Sort of like an English version of Giant Bomb's first-looks? http://www.eurogamer.net/videos/uncharted-3-video-talkthrough?size=hd
  10. That's probably my biggest problem with it. Occasionally it is fun and rewarding (getting to some of the Borgia Captains actually requires some stealth) though. Look at the default map, it is crammed with icons for all sorts. Just too much! It's clear that the intention was to wring as much out of the game as they could. Barely any extra thought really went into the bonus objectives.
  11. I would consider bringing every person back alive from a suicide mission an optimal ending. If we're looking at it from BioWare's perspective they made that objective the tagline and even put in an achievement for it. In some respects, 'Galaxy at War' acts a bit like a Facebook game tie-in (I fully expect them to do one of those too). No one would want to be told that these are mandatory, even if just to achieve one of multiple possible endings regardless of whether it is considered the optimal one.
  12. I've probably posted this before but the drumming here is brilliant. Understated but so much more complex than it sounds. Beautiful song too obviously.
  13. Six wasn't mute. He/she was just terse!
  14. Shame the PC release is delayed though.
  15. That did sound worrying at first but since it's completely optional that's cool. Nice to have more 'options' too and it does sound quite interesting.
  16. Heh. I never actually got into them. Listened to that album years ago but it was the only song I can remember so it must be good.
  17. I'm all for developers experimenting with co-op or multiplayer stuff. Uncharted 2 has good multiplayer, ODST and Reach have Firefight, Gears of War has Horde, and I know people like Assassin's Creed MP. Would people say they detracted from the single-player?
