  1. Isn't Strike Suit Infinity supposed to be better (and currently cheaper)?
  2. Nah, there's actually more to it. So, it seems like a fairly large game. There's the main story mode - comic book-style cutscenes and all - that features online co-op for up to four players (with AI controlling spare turtles) which you can see in this video (that I edited into the original post at a later date). Survival mode is that same 3D combat but in one arena. And the new thing, that even I wasn't aware of, is that side-scrolling arcade mode, which allows for local co-op in the tradition of the older TMNT games but with the same combat mechanics. It was just a focus because the guy was eager to show off this new thing. So, yeah, that's pretty cool as well.
  3. Then...whoops! At least I've got one or two other people interested in the game (enough for a Steam 4-pack mayhaps?)
  4. Ha, yeah. Didn't you guys know? It's part of XBLA Summer of Arcade (though will be on PC at the same time).
  5. I don't mean too long as in file size, but whether you catch it partway through or miss a line because it's only up for a short while, etc. I really didn't think it was that big an issue for anyone.
  6. A couple of reasons, I guess. Some can be too long, and it helps the pacing of the 'joke'.
  7. Or does this go in Games You've Bought? Friends like boardgames/cardgames and I've heard very good things about this. Plus, it sounds right up my street: superheroes, co-operative and no dice mechanic (fuck Elder Sign!) Decided to give these a go as I did like some of the old ninja turtle stuff. It's another origin reboot that also wants to incorporate the old '80s cartoon stuff, and I'm not entirely onboard with it yet. I think they've taken an OK approach, but it hasn't really gone anywhere after 4 issues (the micro-series is good mini-stories) and seems to be leaving some of the more important details until later. I won't be in a hurry to buy more though, not unless they become cheaper.
  8. All those references to being 'pissed' have to be changed to 'drunk' again.
  9. Over here it is. Not until 23rd August in the US, I believe.
  10. The World's End. Did the 'Cornetto Trilogy' in an evening so saw a midnight screening of this. Can't say too much without spoiling it (and the trailers ruined a large part of it). Obviously, its style is similar to Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, except it's not as all-out funny as the former and never really as dark as the latter. If you're used to the films, you'll be able to spot the bits of foreshadowing (and the relevance of the pub names), though I don't think it was as subtle or prevalent as it was in the other two. It actually has some decent drama and Pegg does well as a bit of a dickhead while just about remaining sympathetic.
  11. ...and a related, interesting study: Take Two 'Normal' People, Add Money To Just One Of Them, And Watch What Happens Next
  12. Death & Taxes. Where US federal tax dollars go, in massive chart form. http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0177/6150/t/2/assets/WATERMARK-DNT-0712.png?160 (and if you really want to buy a poster version)
  13. Haha. I like that we have all this Pacific Rim talk and then in the middle, quite the opposite sort of film with Glengarry Glen Ross.
  14. My Immortal - The Web Series (how timely)
  15. Haha. Awesome. I present to you: Tea & Crumpets! Who is undoubtedly always called into action given the UK's proximity to the Pacific Ocean.
  16. Surprised no one's linked this yet. Whole load of gameplay here.
  17. "If Buzz Lightyear thinks he's a real Space Ranger, why does he lie down with all the other toys when the humans show up?" What...wait...nooooooOOOOOOO-

Pretty sure one of the directors or writers or something said it was a strong natural instinct that could be overcome if you try hard enough.

Then Woody should've used that as evidence. Stupid toy!

Woody: "If you're a real spaceman why do you fall down when Andy comes in?"

Buzz: "Because I don't want to anger the giant monster child who could crush me on a whim."
