You're right; Diddy Kong Racing is in a class all by itself. --- I perused the thread to see if this had been posted but didn't seem to see it; sorry if it's already been mentioned. http://www.oneswitch.org.uk/2/switch-downloads.htm One Switch hosts and makes games targeted at the handicapped, so most/all of them use only one button (usually the spacebar) to play. I particularly recommend One Switch Ballz (tee hee, I know); it's simple but tough to master.

The World Ends With You. DS JRPG. Surprisingly good, especially since SE has been on such a hitting slump lately. Came out... three years ago? Very non-traditional, but it basically all works.

No light-up functionality unfortunately. It's pretty solid and while obviously not PDGA-approved, I figure I'll keep it in my disc bag and bust it out for a laugh or two on an approach or putt toss.

It just changed at about 8 PM Pacific time. Seems when one games' bar is full it knocks off some time. It's set to release around 8 PM on Monday night now! EDIT: Er, 6 am Tuesday? I can't add right now.

I did the midnight launch for Brawl at the local Gamestop. I also tried to do Half-Life 2 but they said they weren't doing a midnight launch, so I waited outside until 9 AM and grabbed my copy. Other than those, the only "midnight launches" I've done are waiting for Steam games to unlock.

GTAIV. Thought it would be at least in the same realm of entertainment value as Vice City and San Andreas, but it was crap. Still doesn't run acceptably above 1024x768 on my modern PC, still has terrible shooting and walking mechanics. I thought this was one of the highest-rated games ever?

Finally got around to seeing TRON: Legacy. I am tempted to put it in the "good" movie thread, but it's pretty borderline "meh," so I'll post here. The storyline was kinda convulted and heavy on exposition to make the whole thing work, and the pacing seemed kinda off. The first 20-30 minutes moved briskly along, then it lagged for a good hour, then the exciting ending kicked in. The visuals, however, were outstanding.

I tried to make this point earlier. I love heavy metal but have specific tastes within the genre, such as enjoying NWOBHM but disliking glam and over-the-top black metal. But I'm still going to say that I am a metalhead or metal fan if I'm talking with someone who's not familiar with the ins and outs of the genre. what the fuck is NWOBHM!? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Wave_of_British_Heavy_Metal
