  1. New York is awesome, TME. The Giants are awful, though. I rooted against the Giants yesterday, because I cannot bring myself to root for the Cowboys ever. Your hierarchy of place preferences is completely fucked, TME. Kansas city is a sad sack town. Go Packers.
  2. Yeah, the menus are not well designed. As an OG RPGamer, I'm used to bad menus, though.
  3. I've found them out exploring the Hinterlands. You can also buy them, I think the blacksmith in Haven has three mods for sale immediately. Bow rogues have low base DPS, though.
  4. So far I've clocked about 24 hours into the game and am really enjoying myself. The reviews are right; it's a very, very big game. I've only just begun exploring the second and third regions to which the player gets access, and there are four or five more waiting to be unlocked. It's a tad overwhelming, but I like it. Sadly, the game does not work with Steam in-home streaming, which generally works even with non-Steam games. For some reason (EA sabotaging Steam's streaming capabilities for Origin games), the game just boots up on the host computer while the client computer doesn't even attempt to bring up a Dragon Age Inquisition streaming window. It doesn't work even when I trick the streaming client into giving me access to the host desktop and boot Inquisition from Origin. I get the sound, but no image besides the cursor. It's annoying.
  5. Dragon Age: Inquisition is great. It's very Dragon Age-y, though, so if you disliked both of the previous games, it's really got nothing for you. But if you like wRPGs,, it's pretty neat.

Except the controls on PC...ugh. And the tactical camera has some major issues...

      But I'm still loving it.

  6. Plus your time, which I guess isn't worth much, huh? I wouldn't consider DA:I a risky digital purchase, either, unless you're new to the series. Because it's so long, you probably won't be done with it until the buy back price (and likely the new retail price) drops a bunch anyway. Played for several more hours yesterday and am loving it. Still only have the first few companions, though. I wonder where and when I'll find the rest.
  7. How much did you sell your Destiny discs for?

    Healthcare

Single payer is the only moral and ethical solution.
  9. Co op is a very minimal system separate from the campaign. I do not suggest dropping $60 on it just for the multiplayer. Edit: I rolled a dual wield female elf thief. Just played for about four hours and am really enjoying it, aside from some weird issues with my keyboard and mouse. Bioware again fucked up implementing the controls, making the scrollwheels on wireless mice useless. using the mouse to control the camera is also sluggish and feels odd when using my wireless mouse. I may just use my controller going forward. Spent about an hour exploring a small, small section of the Hinterlands. So great to see Bioware finally making a big exploration-based game.
  10. Browser game summary for TME:
  11. Ubi is also anti-consumer, I am afraid to say.
  12. Does Sony allow cross-play with the PC? Hahaha, of course not: Sony is anti-consumer.
  13. Nope. Might take a personal day because I have no court appearances tomorrow. I need to see how much I can get done today at the office before I decide.
  14. I will be getting zero sleep tonight.
  15. Well, I'm sure it will take a few minutes to unlock. Dunno how it works on consoles, but on PC Steam pre-loads download a bit more after unlock and then it takes a while to decrypt the pre-load data. I'm not sure the pre-load would be encrypted on consoles since it's not as easy to get to game assets as it is on PC.

    Your Rig

I really want an SSD. the loading times in the latest crop of games is just ridiculous. But I'd want a big SSD, and they are way outta what I want to spend right now. Nice 'puter, there, Baconrath. When did you build it?
  17. More viable than a party of four sword and shield tanks, I bet, unless DA:I tanks do more damage than they did in Origins or 2. The main configurations I'd like to try as a mage Inquisitor: 1: Iron Bull, Cassandra, and sera/varric/cole 2: Cole, Blackwall, Solas/Vivienne/Dorian 3: Cassandra, Sera/Varric, Cole. 4: Dorian, Vivienne, Iron Bull.
  18. I try to mix in different sets of companions. Part of the fun for me is seeing how many viable parties I can build. If I go mage, I will definitely try to have a full mage party of doom for a bit, for the first time in any DA game.
  19. No healers in DA:I, by the way. Only potions. I usually take a sword and board warrior tank and a two-handed warrior for DPS and double the tanking. I will also run with a dual wield rogue and either a sword and board or two-handed warrior, with the last two slots filled by a mage and another rogue. My tanking comment was more aimed at the common perception that tanks in DA games are not as fun to play as any other class.
  20. EA/Bioware must be pleased as punch at their decision to allow early reviews.
  21. You like to tank in SP games? Huh. I guess somebody's gotta. I am kinda leaning mage, since I am certain the mage/templar conflict is at the center of Inquisition's story. Then again, my Hawke was a mage and my Warden was a warrior, at least in my preferred first world state, so my OCD wants me to play a rogue so I can complete the set. I will say that the nice thing about playing a warrior in DA games is that it lets you more easily rotate more of your companions into and out of your party. When I've played as a rogue or mage, I get less adventuring time with the the rogue and mage companions since the optimal party is usually a mage, a rogue, and two warriors.
  22. So, what sort of character are you all gonna roll? I'm thinking female qunari mage or female elf dual wield rogue.
  23. Welcome to the Dragon Age: Inquisition hype train.
