I hope I won't have to wait months for the GTX 970 to get out of backorder. I want to try out my new card nooooow!

Well, I had to spend something like $10k on the card to get $200, to be fair. Edit: Which I did by only using that card to buy stuff, including an engagement ring, for about four months. Just reaping the benefits of my profligacy. Of course, I squandered those benefits on more profligacy. Anyone want to buy a GTX 570 for $50 plus shipping and handling?

The card is on backorder, so I'm likely delaying playing SoM for weeks. I'm hooked on wasteland 2, so the wait is not a problem. Also, I got the card for around $190 because my credit card allows me to redeem points directly on Amazon orders which is totally boss.

Just ordered one of these puppies: Insanely good value. Holding off on Shadow of Mordor till I get it installed.

So that comic is bad because it mischaracterizes the loot cave as the only fun thing in the game when, in reality, it was just another unfun, but mroe efficient, exercise in the Skinner box button pressing that makes up the sum and whole of Destiny's gameplay?

Shotgun = cone of cold, 'nades = fireballs. The further you get, the more you encounter enemies with attacks that work like cRPG magic attacks. The first time I blundered into such enemies, they TPK'd me in a single round. I am still loving this game, of course. I am pleasantly surprised by the balance inXile was able to strike between the speed of each level up with the relatively few skill points you get. Even if I save skill points between levels, I always feel like my characters are constantly improving. At least up through the mid-teens, where I am now.

The cutscenes are key to understanding and enjoying the game, Mister Jack. And it takes a few viewings for the deeper meanings and connections to really set in, I hear.

What a bunch of wuss-ass wimps you all are. Game over and save wipe is the only real death disincentive in video games. Any other method is training wheels. -
HDD or mobo failure. Might also be the power supply, though usually power problems cause sudden shutdowns

Attention PC gamers: the new nvidia GPUs are unbelievably good. The gtx 970 is only $330, about $120 less than the comparable cards from previous generations cost at their launch.

Ti existed before the titan. This is Nvidia though so the performance for price is irrelevant. It's performance compared to other cards for the same price.

But see FFIV. In keeping with FF canon and tradition, that black vehicle in the FFXV trailer is clearly a hovercraft. We can only hope that, at some point, the protagonists will exclaim that it is full of eels.

Kenshi any game that features character leveling and that people claim only begins after the max level has been reached is either poorly designed, an MMO, or both. All it really means is that the "real game" is chasing ever scarcer loot to upgrade your character because there's no more xp to be had. It can also mean that MP is only fun once you have all your levels, a design choice that seems un-fun in the extreme to me. Why force players to grind through less-fun boring parts to get to the "real game?"
