What other "in-home" streaming solutions are in existence? Not defending Steam here, but if I could stream games from my beast PC to my laptop (either by itself or hooked up to our bedroom TV) over my home network, I'd be a happy camper when my girlfriend wants to watch her DVRed shows.

"Do people run around shouting their sexual orientation nowadays? I don't get out too often." Pretty much, yes. Every time a person talks about a girlfriend/boyfriend (or, in your case, ST, dakimakurafriends), what they think is attractive, and so on, that person reveals his or her sexuality.

The "in-home streaming" bit might mean you can stream from a real PC to a cheap-o Steam Box connected to the TV.

Video game writing always includes arbitrary constraints. Including minorities is likely one of the least constraining constraints out there.

Absolutely re: Trevor improving in Los Santos. I think it's intentional.

"Because it feels good" is a reason, and in our post-modern world of relative morals and ethics, well, that's as good a reason as any other. In fact, maybe we just make up other excuses when that's the only reason we ever have for our actions. Trevor embodies this line of thinking.

Trevor is great. I make sure to initiate all multi-protagonist missions as him. He's the embodiment of GTA chaotic nonsense, in a package that acts like a the methed-out lovechild of Hunter S. Thompson's writing persona and Tony Montana.

I wonder if it will be a streaming box for your living room that could stream from your PC over your home network. That could be neat.

Franklin's is nice if you have to keep a car spotless while going full-speed through Los Santos. I almost never use Michael's, but I use Trevor's ALL THE TIME.

I've had a great time with the freaks and strangers missions. Well, except for the racing stuff. I do not play GTA to race.

madbassman: GTA V has earned $1 billion in sales in three days. http://kotaku.com/why-rockstar-released-gta-v-for-current-gen-consoles-1356077733

I crashed on that first mission because I always suck at landing. But I got it on the second try. Seemed natural to me. Now, being tossed into a helicopter in a mission as Michael was a rude awakening; he was jittery as all fuck. And just trying to get from point A to point B outside of a mission as Franklin flying was a harrowing experience. For Franklin, at least. And anyone near him when I tried to land.

The Last of Us. I respect the ending, though I found the last encounters to be fairly easy. Any plans for a sequel?

What's with all these posts about people going to schools and training sessions in GTA V? I didn't buy GTA V to sit through some motherfucking video game class bullshit. Go out there and enjoy the damn game, you don't need to grind to max skills like this is some sorta JRPG or f2p monstrosity.

Yeah, I didn't even look at the settings. Thanks, HH, it helps.

I detest the white dot reticle. I lose it very easily. Loving the game, though. Trevor is a fantastic video game character.
-
It was bad in GTA IV, too. Weird that you get lock-on while on foot, but no lock on while in a vehicle.
-
I like GTA V better than GTA IV, but GTA IV was pretty good.

Is TLoU supposed to be easy if you stealth the whole time? I'm about 6ish hours in and have oodles of weapons and ammo. I like the game a lot, though there have been a couple of frustrating sections where I tried stealth and got stuck at a dead end only to realize I needed to kill all the enemies in the area. Love all the unique art assets in the game. Good environmental design and art makes such a huge difference.

The Last of Us. Decent game play so far (very early on yet; just leaving the apartment after getting Ellie), but man, oh, man are the production values high! Looks great, feels great, and even though the story seems like a pretty standard post-zombie-apocalyptic romp, I can tell it will be quite an enjoyable ride.

Got this today because, hey, fuck it, everyone seems to think it's pretty hot shit.

Yup. Machine for Pigs is barely interactive.

There is very, very little player agency in Machine for Pigs. It's barely interactive. And the interactivity does not really matter. Hence, it is barely a video game and barely an interactive art project.
