  1. Looks like it's very much going to be RE4(x2) HELL YEAH! \m/ \m/
  2. Watched The Way of the Househusband on Netflix, I saw someone on twitter describe it as 100% laughs, 0% animation, and they're kinda right, the animation style is kinda rough, like a Queen Bee work (if you know you know, if you don't... you're better off not knowing ), but man is it a funny series, kinda want to check the manga out, see how it compares. Long story short, a former legendary Yakuza, the Immortal Dragon Tatsu, has abandoned his previous life, and now dedicates himself fully to his new life as a house husband, funny shenanigans ensue as he runs into former colleagues and rivals, def worth a watch... If you don't mind the animation style.
  3. Nah, all good , I got that more from the article, seems like the first DG2 pitch got rejected, then, instead of working on changing it, or presenting different pitches, Bend got shoved into a couple of other projects as an ND support studio, effectively ending the hopes of a sequel, unless they're actually working on it now, that'd be a nice surprise.
  4. I'd say it sounds more unlikely. I mean, I love Bloodborne, and would love to see it get a 4K60 patch, with those sweet load times and whatnot, but the article mentions Sony is much more interested in its giant blockbusters, GoW, TLoU, and the like, Bloodborne doesn't fit among those IMO. Demon's Souls was a surprise, but the original did need some love, graphics weren't the best, even for its time (particularly character faces), and load times were hell for a game were you would be dying over and over and over in the same areas. The new graphics are awesome, and those loading times make dying a non-issue as you're back in the game not-quite-instantly but close enough to not be annoying any more. RE4 definitively DOESN'T need a remake, or another remaster/HD port/etc., it still holds up, both graphics and gameplay wise, and it's not like I'm just remembering it fondly, I only just went through it (again), a couple of weeks ago. Anyone that says it needs a remake should check it out again, it holds up well, now Code Veronica or Outbreak... In terms of how a TLoU remake might have killed DG2... I don't think I've ever hated a game I've never played before, but here we are. Bend seems to be finally free to work on something of their own, but it looks like it's going to be a new thing, and since some key figures left the studio in 2019/2020, I don't see it being a Days Gone 2.
  5. Some months ago several people, including the president whined about some US intelligence officials supposedly claiming that about 30% of Mexico was under cartel control*, they went on and on about how that was all false, that we're some kind of beacon of justice and hope, whatever. Yesterday, CJNG took control of Aguililla in Michoacan, the National Guard and the army retreated "to avoid further confrontations". Meanwhile, in Matamoros, the mayor had El Vaquero, leader of the Cartel del Golfo registered as a public official, ironically, as a member of the local Public Safety Secretary, this granted him immunity and allowed local police to move in and block roads during previous arrest attempts. https://www.eluniversal.com.mx/estados/alcalde-morenista-de-matamoros-tiene-en-nomina-el-vaquero-lider-del-cartel-del-golfo *In reality, if we count both direct (like what happened in Aguililla) and indirect (influencing elections, buying/intimidating politicians, etc.) it's probably closer to 60-70% if not higher.
  6. Resident Evil 5 Just like I remember, a fun game to play on your own, a really fun game to play in coop, not exactly a good Resident Evil game. Much more actiony than 4, and lacking most of its charm too, still, not a bad game to go through, just not exactly what you're looking for in an RE game. Sheva as an AI partner can be godlike or terrible, give her a sniper rifle and enough ammo and she can clear an entire area by herself, give her anything automatic and she'll run into a room and get killed instantly. Even so, she did save my bacon a couple of times, still recommend playing with another human though, much better that way. The merchant is sorely missed.
  7. There might be some riff police going on here, with Slipknot's The Heretic Anthem, but still, pretty neat song, and cool solo. \m/ \m/
  8. Resident Evil 4 HELL YEAH! Still holds up as my favourite in the series, the best mix of action and horror, with just the right amount of cheese , though I've yet to play the remakes, we'll see how those go. My favourite line: Salazar: "I've sent my right hand for you!" Leon: "Your right hand comes off?!" ???? Separate Ways and Assignment Ada are also pretty fun, Assignment Ada being all about how fast you can collect the samples and get out of there, while Separate Ways is a short campaign on its own, showing what Ada was up to during Leon's campaign. Most importantly for me though, after finishing this game several times on PS2, I learned that you can actually kill regenerators and iron maidens with the knife! Not only that, it's actually rather easy and saves you a fair amount of ammo, though it does take a while. It also has the best unlockable weapon: The Chicago Typewriter, does a ton of damage, looks really cool and it has infinite ammo! \m/ \m/
  9. Resident Evil 4 I now know how to knife regenerators and iron maidens to death, this changes EVERYTHING.
  10. Mine came with an A-to-C cable... Was it supposed to come with a C-to-C? I like wireless headsets with dongles, makes it so I can use it on multiple platforms, my old PS3 headset has seen use with PS3, PS4, PS5, PC and Switch.
  11. Work in progress, haven't been able to draw much recently, so not nearly as much progress as I'd like, and much more complex than previous work, this will be fun.
  12. Battletech Well, the last couple of missions have been a thing. Earlier in the campaign I had an issue with one of the story missions, but that annoying thing ended up being related to an optional objective, so I just skipped that stuff, now though, these missions have some mandatory conditions that are just annoying as hell. First, they shove a story character into your team, replacing one of your units, so now I've lost a trained pilot and their mech, built and set for their skills, and they've been replaced by a useless pilot, with no decent skills and a mech that's made of paper, and hits with less force than a wet noodle. Oh, and of course I'm supposed to keep them alive. The next mission is worse, many of the same conditions apply, except that now there's MORE enemies so enemy turns take half an hour, I have none of my mechs or pilots, and of course, there's more than one part, with even more enemies popping up. Also, for some reason: Resident Evil 4 Now this is a FUN game, controls are much more awkward than I remember, but the rest holds up pretty well.
  13. We might not have to wait until 2024 for AMLO to just "I'M THE SENATE" the shit out of everything: https://www.forbes.com.mx/reforma-electrica-inconstitucional-cambiamos-constitucion-amlo/ https://www.proceso.com.mx/nacional/2021/3/17/morena-va-por-modificacion-ley-de-amparo-busca-que-jueces-no-puedan-suspender-leyes-260226.html?espv=1 https://www.lapoliticaonline.com.mx/nota/135283-exclusivo-zaldivar-mando-llamar-al-juez-que-suspendio-la-reforma-electrica-de-amlo-y-la-reunion-termino-en-insultos/ AMLO: "I will change the law to displace clean energies, increase production through CFE's plants and force the purchase of fuel-oil from PEMEX! Yay for the 4T! Yay for energy independence!" Judge Juan Pablo Gómez Fierro: "Nope, not so fast, those changes to the law are unconstitunal, violate people rights to a clean environment, threaten the safety of millions, plus, breach several existing contracts with renewable energy companies." AMLO: "You evil neoliberal judge! Bought by private interests! I'll have you investigated! There will be consequences!" Also AMLO: "If my changes to the law are unconstitutional, I will change the constitution, NO ONE STOPS THE 4T!" And there you have it, so far the response from the judge in question has apparenly been: "You can't threaten me! You can tell Zaldivar (head of the supreme court and person who immediately agreed to AMLO's demand to investigate judge Juan Pablo) to FUCK HIMSELF!" Other judges have also stepped in to put a stop to this law, all met with the same response. So now, MORENA is also aiming to change the law to prevent any kind of legal protection (appeal(?)) against law changes that target CFE and PEMEX, so that there's no legal way to stop them. They've also engaged the propaganda machine, targetting companies like OXXO and BIMBO, among other giants in Mexico, because they all use their own energy plants (some of them being 100% renewable, with BIMBO claiming they will soon switch to a 100% electric fleet for the entire country), and so they end up using what they need, and pumping the rest back into the grid, which is good, except that it's clean, and the government doesn't like clean. The best part? Multiple organizations have run simulations, and the majority of these place MORENA as the great victor for the next round of elections, meaning that AMLO won't need to use the army (to whom he recently handed over even MORE power), because people will gladly serve him the country on a silver platter, leaving him to do whatever he wants, with no opposition or counterweight of any kind.
  14. Current System CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero Memory: Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB SL 64GB (4x16GB) Storage: Samsung 980 Pro nvme 500GB, Crucial 2TB SSD, Seagate 4TB HDD (x2) GPU: ASUS ROG Strix 3090 Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow with Noctua NF-S12 Fans PSU: BeQuiet! Straight Power 11 1000W Platinum Should be good for the next decade or so. CPU and GPU where just what I could get my hands on, as everything else sort of just vanished from existence as soon as it was available, 2020/2021 not a good year to upgrade or buy anything PC related. The motherboard was an interesting case, lower tiers from brands like ASUS, Gygabite, MSI and others were almost twice the price, because they were imports. Similarly, the RAM, was cheaper than 32GB of other brands, and even cheaper than some 16GB options, yay for import fees! Thinking about setting up a NAS, or using my old PC as a server of sorts, but in the meantime, I wanted as much storage as I could fit in this case, which is, sadly, not that much, with only two HDD bays available. Case does look pretty neat though, and I like how the white/grey combo looks, plus, it seems to have decent airflow and easy to clean filters. Was looking at the recommended 750-850W PSUs, but it seems like a fair amount of them have problems with the 3090 series, apparently it has some rather aggressive spikes that can trigger overcurrent protection on those units, causing the system to shut down, since I couldn't find a good list of which brands/models work fine, and some of the more recommended models were hilariously expensive (30,000 pesos for a 750W psu!!) I went with a higher wattage, higher rating and cheaper priced unit (5,600 pesos for this one). Originally, I planned for a more mid-range build, but things worked out in such a way that I had a bit more money to spend on it, and since I use my PC for work, games, media, and basically everything else I need/want to do, it ended up like this. One good thing came out from these stock shortages though, I learned there are now way more PC component stores than I remember, some of them have ridiculous prices like PCEL, TodoCheap, but others have better prices, better stock and relatively fast shipping, I was glad to see how well DDTech packaged my stuff, with things like the GPU being shipped inside a box, inside a box, inside a box, all with soft foam and bubble wrap covering them. Specially important was how the outer box was just cardboard, with no branding on it or anything, that was neat IMO. Still, probably the worst possible time to try and upgrade or build anything, hunting for stock and trying to still get a fair price on things was not fun, and it seems like it'll get worse before it gets better. Specially in countries were import fees and other related taxes apply.
  15. After more accusations were presented, the MORENA ethics committee removed his candidacy, then the president accused all victims of being paid actors and immediately, MORENA placed him back, now he's going to be their candidate for governor and he's likely to win. One of the victims had to flee to another country, and more don't know what to do now that the president has stated that a rapist has his full support. Further, the president, in one of his morning conferences claimed that "feminism and environmentalism were created by conservatives to impede progress" In news about the environment, the "sembrando vida" program, which is supposed to incentivize reforestation, has been found to have the opposite effect. The old version paid people from small rural communities to protect their land, ensuring that jungles/forests/etc weren't destroyed and preserving the echosystems as they were. Our current president, as usual, marked it as some kind of evil neoliberal program and modified it, now, people are paid to plant specific crops and trees, then making money from selling the resulting produce. Two things with this process: People are now tearing/burning down forests and jungles in order to plan the crops the government wants them to, if they don't do so, if they try to preserve things, then they get paid nothing, and lose all other benefits. The government is, in many cases, asking people to plant foreign invasive species, causing further damage to local echosystems. So it's effectively making things WORSE for the environment, but people have no choice but to burn down or chop everything down, and plant whatever invasive species they're asked to, else they lose all support and they can't afford that. Of course, the president insists that his program is a blessing and that other countries are praising it as one of the best in the world. ?
  16. https://www.siliconera.com/senran-kagura-and-neptunia-crossover-action-rpg-revealed/?utm_campaign=twitter&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitter SENRAN KAGURA LIVES! Kinda... as a crossover with the Neptunia series... In a game for PS4. Oh well, I'll take what I can get. Seven still toast though.
  17. Senran Kagura Peach Ball used the HD rumble, it was pretty fun, I believe SK Reflexions also used it, but the pinball theme of peach ball made it more noticeable.
