  1. The government, in their "austerity" plan just gutted: A fund to protect human rights and journalists (Violence is not real) A natural disaster relief fund (Natural disasters are a neoliberal conspiracy) Climate change fund (Also a neoliberal conspiracy) Grants for science, technology and education (STEM is for the bourgeois so we don't need that shit) Grants for renewable energy projects (National coal FTW) Among others, in total 109 different grants, funds and other government programs have been killed. I was originally going to post here making fun of a PES senator that went all "MAGA BITCHES! TRUMP'S GONNA OWN YA LIBERAL ASS!" but then I read this and... Yeah, fuck me.
  2. Finally watched One Punch Man S1+S2, while season 2 was not the flaming dumpster I was led to believe it was, S1 is still better IMO, fights looked better and Genos looks weird in some scenes. Hoping for a third season as there's a bunch of stuff that's still hanging.
  3. New Kataklysm is pretty cool! \m/ \m/ There's a new Saurom album coming out this year, pretty cool stuff so far!
  4. As long as DOOM remains ETERNAL multiplatform, I don't mind.
  5. Some changes: I've wallmounted my TV and got a new desk, that's taller than expected, so now I also need a new chair, or a lot of cushions. Need some cable management, but I'll wait until I have my new PC, so I know exactly how many cables and where they go.
  6. Michael Quesada an other people like him have talked about how good the S and the discless PS5 are for our region, because of how cheap they are compared to the X/disc version, making console gaming more accessible, and on one hand I can see why a lower upfront cost would be enticing, but on the other hand, specially for this region, a digital only version doesn't make any sense in the long term IMO, digital games rarely go down in price, Sony now charges a 16% tax on every digital sale (MS "absorbed" this tax), and with games going for $70 now, it's not worth it, I don't know about other countries, but the peso-dollar conversion hurts a lot. Physical games go down in price more often, stores have sales pretty much every week, you can sell games you've beaten or don't care about anymore, you can borrow games from friends or relatives, etc. So yeah, a disc console is more expensive at first, but I feel the long term savings and the possibility to sell and share games more than make up for it. Unless you're only interested in a couple of games, then it might make sense(?)
  7. I hope it's true, given that it's a $70 title, which means around $2500 pesos, so if I can get it on PC, that's where I'll buy it.
  8. Hoping for more info on Demon's Souls and maybe some Elden Ring.
  9. It seems that Episode 3 "Transcendence" has been cancelled, and replaced with Red Patriot. Which on one hand, makes sense, as Transcendence was supposed to be even more MGS/Terminator based, with advanced AIs taking over, super soldiers born from a mix of humans and machines, soldiers being taken over by machines, etc. And people hated that whole plotline (I thought it was kinda cool, but WAY out of place for a GR game), so now we have the return of Bodark, Russia's equivalent of the Ghosts and the main antagonists of Future Soldier. So that's going to be a thing, I wonder if the AI plotline has been fully abandoned or if they'll try and rework it somehow, would be weird to just suddenly drop it given what happens in the main story and in the Splinter Cell expansion/Episode 2.
  10. Apparently there's a deal between our government and Russia where they'll send us their Sputnik vaccine, you know, the one that seems to have skipped some tests and probably doesn't work as well as it should. Also, there's a new proposal from SAT (the tax people) that says their people should be able to enter your office/home/work area and be allowed to take pictures and video of EVERYTHING you own, so as to keep track of wealth and whatnot. So that's going to be a thing.
  11. https://www.gematsu.com/2020/09/rumor-first-look-at-xbox-series-s-priced-at-299 November 10 launch, Series X at $499, Series S at $299, now we wait for official confirmation and for Sony's response.
  12. There IS one boss that's basically just a poledancer. But there's also Spiky Knight of Doom, Giant Ice Knight of Doom, Furry Knight of Doom, and Straight Outta Bloodborne. The anime aesthetic is why I got interested in the game in the first place, but I can see why that may be an issue for some people.
  13. Solar A2.6C HELL YEAH! My first lefty guitar, finally!
  14. Code Vein Probably the easiest Soulslike I've played. Bloodborne had the Ludwig's that was awesome, here, the Zweihander crushes EVERYTHING. Transform it into a Fortified Zweihander and you're an unstoppable killing machine. Depths bosses go down in 2-3 hits, one if you stack enough buffs. Even story bosses are a joke most of the time, I only died a couple of times to bosses and mostly because I tried to play defensively, or got distracted while applying buffs, and that one time I tried to use Final Journey, a skill that increases your attack, speed and heals you completely, but kills you after 1 minute. Still, it was really fun, I enjoyed my time with it, save for the Cathedral of Fuck Off and the last area with the spikes that shoot out from the wall. Other than that, pretty cool! I liked the combination of the more modern city environments and the old dungeon/castle areas, music was good, main issue is the super limited amount of outfits, you can change and customise the existing ones to get different looks, but still, it needs more variety, specially, I would have liked to unlock some of the outfits other characters use, that would have been fun. Blood codes can be a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it they're an interesting mechanic, specially because you can unlock gifts(skills) to equip them on other blood codes and then mix and match according to your play style. I didn't mess around too much with this though, as I only focused on the gifts that increased physical damage and one that heals you when you get hit. Took a bit of time to get used to, but once I was able to time the cooldowns and ichor usage, I was able to constantly keep my main two skills active pretty much all the time. Overall, a pretty fun game, I'd like to see a sequel, maybe after Scarlet Nexus. I even thought about going for the Platinum, before reading about a trophy that requires you to either play through the game 100 times, or spend hours grinding online and/or offline. Essentially, to get the trophy for reputation level 30, you need 400 medals, with a guaranteed 4 found per playthrough, you get one for defeating a boss online, or they can sometimes drop from some enemies, but with a really low drop rate. So yeah, that'll have to wait for a while. Edit: And.... I just learned that they added a challenge map called the Tower of Trials, where you can farm for these things...
  15. HELL YEAH! THE NOSFERATU IS BACK! \m/ \m/
  16. LG 65" something something, don't know the full model, it's from their nanocell series, from 2019, 40% off of normal price HELL YEAH, didn't expect it to be this big though. Also bought some pillows, but those aren't that interesting.
  17. If you plan on drawing on the go, or spend a lot of time out and about then I'd say go for the S6, I got this one because I found it for cheap (relatively speaking ), and I spend most of my time in front of my PC.
