Dark Sector. A surprisingly decent game, the shooting mechanics are very similar to Gears of War, though the glaive adds a nice little touch, it took me a while to figure how to properly use it as it has a shorter range than expected and controlling it using after-touch can be hard sometimes, but being able to use it to take down enemies behind cover is pretty fun. Having to buy weapons is kind of annoying, specially as many of them are rather expensive, so I ended up looking up which were the best and went with those, glad I did, as some enemies can be bullet spongy as hell. Mutants were specially annoying, since they deal a ton of damage, can grab you, which, even if you shake them off still leaves you open for a bit, and some also like to jump around all over the place and/or become invisible for short periods of time. Bosses were... there I guess, all of them have some weakness related to the glaive that you can use, but they're also killable by just emptying everything you have on them, except for the last two which do require the glaive to kill them, pretty much impossible to do so without it. Not much more to say, boss fights weren't great, but they also didn't suck, their main purpose is just to give you new powers. The story was also lacking, there's some interesting stuff there, but it doesn't tell you enough about anything to make you care, it's basically "something something virus, something mutants, something something dark/tragic past, who cares". Overall, the thing that elevates this from forgettable bargain bin game to something that was actually enjoyable is the glaive and all related powers.

Been a stressful week, my grandfather had an accident and broke his leg, so we've been helping with all that stuff, and there's been some other stuff going on that hasn't helped a bit, so I saw this was on sale and thought I would get myself a treat.

Got the Noble Phantasm edition of Fate/Extella, yes, that's the second time I buy that game, though I pre-ordered the digital version, I've heard from other Fate/ fans that the art book included with this edition is worth the price alone, and since Amazon had it for cheap, it was a no-brainer for me. Though that also means I won't be able to get Horizon, Ghost Recon or Nier anytime soon.

I finished every mission, collectible and activity in the beta, and it was really fun. The second area kicked my ass until I got the anti-armour rifle and the tar21, then i got a bit easier. I can see it getting a bit boring if you're one to stick to a single play style, but if you play around with everything the game has, it does offer quite a bit of variety, like, I only used the parachute to drop on hills close to mission areas, scout, and then move in, but you could just drop in the middle of a base and go crazy if that's your deal. Vehicles also offer a lot of choices, though I never figured out how to properly use gunships, getting an APC and using it to complete a couple of missions, destroy convoys and other stuff was awesome. The AI isn't as bad as some people would say, though I wish it had better consistency, sometimes they detect you from 200 meters away when you miss a shot, and then everyone in the world knows where you are, others, they fail to notice that I just landed a chopper right next to them. The radio can be super annoying, specially since there's only one station, though I did find it funny that there's a song that mentions the ghosts and their fight against the cartel. Speaking of songs, I'm surprised they didn't get Cartel de Santa in there, their stuff is basically made for this kind of setting but I don't know if it's all original music made for the game or if there are real songs included too.

I liked the first one, the nemesis system was cool, and using the wraith powers to controls orcs was awesome. \m/ \m/ This one looks interesting, will keep an eye on it.

Album is super short, but it's also fucking awesome \m/ \m/

Right, I should mention, the issue with that mission was on PC, I've had no problems with the PS4 version.

I didn't play the closed beta so I don't know, so far, biggest issue I've had was with the first mission, where the dude wouldn't follow me, he'd just stay inside his cell not moving, had to kill him and restart the mission and then it worked. Starting to get the hang of helicopter flying, though aiming the mounted weapons is still out of reach. Also, the subtitles are funny, the dudes will say something like "alright motherfuckers! let's show them we have more balls than them, fuck them all!" but the subtitles say "there are more of us than them, show them who's in charge, attack!".

Played for a bit yesterday, seems fun, though I don't like the way helicopters control, feels like it just does whatever it wants.

Looks cool, though from what I've seen, it seems like this is one of those games were if you don't have a group of friends to play with it's probably not going to be nearly as fun. Open beta starts this weekend and you can preload it right now.

Fate/Extella, really fun, though if you're not already a fan of the Musou style games then this will do nothing to change that opinion. Also, though some people find it annoying, I love the way you unlock that's really cool, and IMO, way better than the "complete every stage on the hardest difficulty" or "collect XYZ" thing some games do. Story is pretty decent too, starts out simple and then goes full Type-Moon after a bit, that's awesome. \m/ \m/
