  1. All I want to do is take a nap and then jam some Jade Empire - alas.

    1. Enervation

      Enervation

      LOTUS FIST!

Ahh, I forgot the movesets from the game. -_-

Hahaha. Not hard to do - there's so many!

  2. The CoD series is so widely played, sold and whored by Activision, that few people will individually admit to liking it, IMO, except for the original MW.
  3. Their blog post is up. I love that PA took this on, though I guess it's not the first time they've crossed swords with Gawker.
  4. "Bandai manufactured fewer than 100,000 Pippins (reported sales were 42,000) before discontinuing the system; production was so limited that there were more keyboard and modem accessories produced than actual systems." Haaaa. Holy crap, that's bad.
  5. Hmm. I dunno Dean, it looks like night and day to me. The models' body textures seem to have a lot more depth in particular. They'll probably be tweaking the graphics before release, too. I agree though - the animations were the major issue, so hopefully they've reaaaally improved on that. It will probably be a while yet (E3?) till we get to see the game in motion though.
  6. How far did you get, did you finish the first game? I won't mention any spoilers, but I'll just say that they start that way intentionally - and throughout the course of the game, and particularly in the beginning of the second one (which is a direct sequel, and I consider the two games really one game), once the characters do start developing, it gets very interesting. It has a fascinating and unique story, in my opinion. I never actually finished the 2nd game - I got to the last section of the game and my fucking PS3 died, and I lost all my save data. That is the one instance where saving on memory cards would have been preferable. I'm still pissed that I had pay $150 to get the stupid thing fixed, because it was eight days out of warranty, died the day the PS3 Slim was announced, and they didn't even recover my data. That put me on a good, 'Fuck Sony' binge for a while.
  7. Ah, gotcha, I think I mis-read, thinking it would be a separate entity altogether. Hmm. I don't know - I don't think I would get Apple TV, so the gaming experience would have to be very compelling for me to be interested in picking that up. I'm curious to see more details though - Apple getting seriously into the gaming market has always seemed like a possible step to me.
  8. I can understand how you didn't like Devil Summoner - that game was pretty damn clunky. DDS I can understand too, but I loooooved those games. I mean, the environments and visuals were bland as hell and the story didn't really start getting interesting till later on, but man, I loved it.
  9. I shudder at whatever they would price it at. Apple's prices are a joke.
  10. Dear lord, this game looks *drool* I think I'll actually play it thoroughly this time! Unlike Oblivion and Fallout 3, which I played for like 40 hours each and got nowhere in the story because I was too busy running around doing side quests, until I hit gamekilling bugs and gave up.
  11. What I really want is Fable II on the PC. I don't know if it's my Xbox or disc, but that game runs like balls. Atrocious framerate when I play. Also, I just never got over the game killing bugs I ran into. I want to finish it up someday, but I haven't attempted to do so for a while. I loved the first Fable the most, I think. The combat and controls were just so tight and satisfying. I hated how 'floaty' the controls felt in Fable II, as well as the swordplay.
  12. I'm too lazy to ever go on Steam chat, or the Forum chat, unless I'm playing a game that necessitates such communication. Too many messages, moving too quickly! Forum pace suits me better. Also: "Most members ever online in one day was 110, last accomplished on Feb 11 2011." The forum is exploding lately! (In a good way) Yayy.
  13. And I have officially pre-ordered KZ3. Now just to figure out how to get sound through my headset...
  14. On it! Seriously though, I'm going to buy this game and my credit card debt is telling me I really shouldn't... But damn it!
  15. Hmm... Kotaku has ads for one of the Alienware MX laptops and shows Fable III where the screen is... does that mean we're going to finally get Fable III on the PC? I... want! ... But not for full price.
  16. I agree with this - I don't comment much on Kotaku anymore, but that's because this place - I don't really give a shit about the crappy new design. Thing is though, with all the users they're losing, they'll probably get a bunch of new users from wherever who don't know the old design and don't know what they're missing out on. That's just how these turnovers tend to work on the web, as I've seen.
  17. Well, Aronofsky's doing the new Wolverine, so that's probably going to be fucking amazing.
  18. I still haven't bought it, but I'm almost 100% sure I'm going to. TAY Clan Assemble!
  19. So there's no 4-player Move games yet? Hrmm, that seems a little strange to me for some reason. Is it capable of 4?
  20. Yeah, but the thing about AC, while the DRM is total balls, it's supposed to be a better version, with additional content. That said, Ubi's ridiculous about putting it on sale - I grabbed ACII on sale for $15 on the Xmas Steam sale, which seemed reasonable to me, but ACI was $15 too, which is not. That is a $5 game at this point. Very lame.
  21. Yeah, I'm polygamous with my love of gaming platforms. If I have the choice for a multiplatform game though, I'll get it for the PC these days, since I have a good enough one to enjoy the benefits of choosing PC.
  22. I kind of want the move, but I don't want to spend the money on it. I'll get it eventually, likely, but after it comes down a bit in price on a sale.
  23. I would like offer a surprising contender: http://www.pcgamer.com This is the relatively new web counterpart of the old gaming magazine. Now, first off, it's obviously PC only. (This, however, is kind of a bonus for PC fans, because this means additional exclusives and focus on games that would typically be skipped over in an all-inclusive news site) The website's design is also really pretty simple. That said, it's pretty excellent. Sometimes, some of the articles in the magazine and the editorial comments just felt like 'trying too hard' humor, but the majority of the articles on their website are really great. The authors are funny and intelligent, and they actively respond in the comments section. They also frequently hold really cool giveaways. I have them on Facebook and usually just look at articles that look interesting that they link on there, but I'd recommend giving them a shot. Their 'Minecraft Experiment' column is particularly awesome: http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/11/20/the-minecraft-experiment-day-1-chasing-waterfalls/
