Thanks diedan! For the revisions, it was an exercise to cut down something longer of ours by at least half and I ended up doing two. I was actually thinking of either doing a short story or a bunch of small segments like that about this small town based around a coal mine where there was a fire or similar catastrophe, but I haven't figured out how to enter it again - one of those things I'd need to do a lot of research about first. I like yours! It's humorous and I dig how it plays with the words in this sort of almost-conversation. The repetition of the first 'response' is interesting and I like how it works with the pacing. Oh man, I am so out of practice for writing comments as well though. That and I never really say anything negative - usually just say places I'd like to see more, or something focused on.

Hahaha. That's modest of you. We were doing some pretty domination once you joined us. While we were in one team and you guys were in another it was all bad. We kept getting matched against ridiculously high level players that kept smacking us around.

Resonance of Fate looked cool, but I heard the complaints about the story. Eternal Sonata I could not get into, Lost Odyssey I had the same problem and Tales of Vesperia I was hoping they would port the enhanced PS3 version but they never did.

Ah, Dredg. The only band I liked in high school that I still like now. Their latest album was pretty disappointing. They tried to get in on that crappy, dancy wave, and it only partially worked. Their interludes, which were absent on the album before and returned here, were also pretty bad, which sucked, cause those were usually very strong from them. Interesting fact: after the first album, I have traditionally hated their latest album - which tends to grow on me over a span of two years, at which point I fall in love with it. Don't see that happening with some of the tracks on this album, but who knows. Two singles from their latest album: They're recording a new album right now, for release this year. Very, very hopeful for that.

It's been too long since I've had a good JRPG. Lately, I've been craving a good balance of enticing story and good ol' leveling. Are there any on the horizon right now? If you like, go ahead and discuss old JRPGs that you found to be excellent, but personally I'm more interested in any upcoming releases, particularly for the 360 or PS3. Off the top of my ahead, aside from a few Wii offerings and a ton of handheld offerings, I can't think of any.

Yeahh. $50 for a crappy bluetooth ear piece is not something I would want to do. Now, if you could get a nice pair of headphones in the process, that would be something to think about. It looks like without the original A/V cables though, I'm out of luck as well.

Ah boo! That's really strange. With the USB headset I was looking at getting, it says something about needing the original PS3 a/v cables, but it looks like that has both USB and A/V cables you have to connect. Hrmm. I don't think I still have those - crap.

Last night I read a story in the latest 'Best American Short Stories 2010' collection about the Netherlands going under water in the next ten years thanks to global warming. Couldn't help but think of you Dutch folk on the board. (Smooves/Raine, yes?)
