  1. So if I pre-order AC Revelations at Best Buy next week, I can get Brotherhood for $20 and AC2 for $10. Looks like I can jump on the assassin wagon now.

I'd recommend trying to space them out as much as possible. I played ACII pretty late (about 3 weeks before ACB came out) and it was fucking awesome. I played it for at least 6 hours a day, every day, for two weeks until I 100%'d it. I was all pumped for ACB but then it came out and as much as I fucking love this series, the second half of Brotherhood suffered quite a bit from being played back-to-back with ACII. The game was just as good as ACII, but it got tedious after a while.

I'd certainly be wary of playing II and Brotherhood before Revelations comes out. Both are great games, but back to back they can get incredibly repetitive, perhaps lessing Revelations a little if you went that route. Just something to think about, I guess.

  2. I would consider it pointless platforming too. Not all of it as the 2D segments resembled actually platforming, but the walkways Hot Heart mentions that exist between the battle platforms, yeah, those are pointless. It was like, "Hey, lets have the user be a bit more active between battles. I know, make three holes in the path!"
  3. If I had to rank the endings, it would go: 8. Bad Cheater (Worst) 7. Good Freedom 6. Good Cheater 5. Bad Lover 4. Good Lover 3. True Cheater 2. True Freedom 1. True Lover (Best) To go into detail
  4. Give it about two to three weeks and the game will be at $40. Problem is I would probably choose Deus Ex if I were to buy a game soon.
  5. Thinking about ordering a box of soda since no one carries the specific flavor. The brand exists, but only all the flavors except the one I LOVE!

Weinhard's Vanilla Cream is probably as good as it gets for cream soda fans without going into obscurity. My favorite soda is Jackson Hole Soda's Huckleberry. If you live in a place where delivery isn't too expensive, I'd suggest giving that a shot.

Wow. So many unique soda names.

I feel like I should try to branch out and try these new sodas, but not really sure where to start.

If you request it from your local grocery store, most places will see about putting the item on the shelf. Never hurts to ask.

  6. Totally looks like a college project. Actually, I've seen better project trailers than that one.
  7. I didn't realize the demo came out long ago, so I played it last night. Ugh, it was very mediocre. I'm sure the actual game will be better, but there could have been a HUD of some kind or other game elements to not make it feel like you're hacking away to oblivion. I know there are some that say Okami should have had less of a HUD, but this game shows that you need at least something.
  8. There must be substantial content to justify it being standalone.
  9. I've really grown interested in the game, but unless I can find a deal soon, I don't think I could justify blowing $60 right now. It seems more like $40, though I guess there is some replay value according to the Gametrailers review. I'm going to Redbox for Deus Ex to see if I'll like it, but even if I do, it'll have to wait as well.
  10. And from that day onward, Atomsk fled towards the majestic mountains. To him they were a symbol of freedom, or now they could be called "home." In time, Atomsk became a local legend much like the men and creatures before him. There are those who speak of his shame, but just as many who speak of the legend.
  11. Cole looked more like a vampire from what I could see.
  12. It feels as though I have an opened can of worms in the palm of my hand.
  13. EDIT: There's a magically surprise inside.
  14. I viewed Paul yesterday as well. To summarize, it had as many ups as it did downs. There would be something hilarious, but then something bland or uninteresting. It was almost as if they had Seth Rogen dressed up as an alien than actually having an interesting alien creature. Case in point, what else did Paul do besides inspire Steven Spielberg to create E.T.? Really, if you're going to have a line like "You won't believe how much he had a hand in our modern culture the last 60 years," then show something else besides the most lackluster secret government alien hunt EVER! As far as the "Dumb Christians" bit goes, it's ham-handed. I'm comfortable in my beliefs to watch a movie with another viewpoint, but with Paul it almost came out of nowhere. I knew about it before watching, but even still, it explodes within a minute and it's rather unbearable to watch. If I could remember other characters names I would go into further detail, but like Duke said, the movie doesn't give you much reason to care for them. Honestly, seeing someone have a nervous breakdown and then going into an explosion of "freedom" all in five minutes was like watching a dog with roller skates on: WTF? It should have gone with the female character fainting in the RV from seeing Paul that morning, then the government agent finding them in the RV park, so then they must escape with her onboard, and thus her involvement in the story being solidified (and her father if you must, but he didn't do anything besides "I'm a stupid Christian, herp derp!"). Inject hilarious hijinks, one male lead and female growing attracted whilst she explores the world, and etc. EDIT: Also, if three human beings were given all the knowledge of the universe, why waste your time making an awarding winning comic book in two years instead of, I don't know, become scientists and cure cancer or something?!
  15. I think I said it before, in this thread no less, but while I like the Good ending more, there doesn't seem to be any room for a sequel. The Evil ending, while emotional powerful and definitely capable of a sequel, it didn't feel right. It's probably because of Nix. About Kuo and Nix...
  16. 98% moved in to new place. A few things to organize, and the two dudes who are only here for a week (I moved in early) are alright.

Actually it was one of my toes.

  17. You could go for True Cheater if you want something completely out there. True Lover is pretty much the "everyone is happy" ending. Well, probably not Toby, but most everyone.
  18. I've heard that while Mark Duggan didn't open fire, he was still in possession of an illegal firearm. Either way, whether it was a protestor or officer who broke first, we may never know the exact details because these riots have eclipsed any intent to asking why. Now the intent has become answering how; how do the rioters organize now, how can we stop the riots with current methods, and how much longer until military forces are requested.
  19. Turns out the apartment complex I'm moving to is holding a large fundraiser party for 10 hours on Friday. Moving has now become entertaining!

  20. Call of Duty: Black Ops. See, there's a reason why I never bothered with the game. It handles well, etc, and etc. Still, it's one of those games I can't really invest myself in. It didn't help that all the talk about the numbers and the effects were a headache. May it was the story, though I have to give it credit for being a little unique. Anyway, only payed $4 for a rent. I could have possibly sat down in one night, but if I'm going to rent a PS3 game, I'm going to try to get as many trophies as possible before I finish. If it will take a lot of time, or I have to backtrack, it's lost.
  21. It sickens me to see people try to justify the riots in London. There is no justification in chaos, for chaos knows no reason and compassion.

I'm not saying that either, but it's probably something so petty it should hardly be considered "reason." Someone could have gotten carried away, or maybe it was an opportunity.

    4. MasterDex

      MasterDex

Perhaps but even if the reason is weak, it shouldn't be cast aside. I think these riots expose a societal problem that should be examined. Relegating the riots to a freak occurrence isn't going to solve anything.
