  1. So Clan Management tools have been implemented today for Destiny 2. Did anyone in charge of the group do whatever you need to? https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/46085/7_Becoming-a-Destiny-2-Clan

      Thanks, I'll look into it.

Apparently I can't edit status replies...

Anyway, all updated and set to become a Clan on August 23.  That means as of that date anyone who's a member of the PXoD group but doesn't have it as their clan will get kicked out.  I don't know who all that might include.

  2. So what accessories do ya'll have for your Switch? There are a few Switches in stock once more, but I spent the money I was saving on other items during my vacation. I don't regret it since it was spent on family and some nice new clothes for myself. Just want to get an idea of what I might want to add-on while I save up a little more. I know I'll need a screen protector, and since my vacation is over, I don't think I'll need a travel case. Not sure there's anything else I would need right away. I ended up buying Splatoon 2 off Amazon just so I could get the discount. Having a game before owning the console is strange, but Nintendo games don't go cheap until 4 - 5 years.
  3. Didn't want to fill my one post with too much media. Here are my two videos that I thought I'd share.
  4. Been meaning to post some of my Beta stuff. If you're looking for Farm images, I took more scenic screenshots. It was only filled with players, no NPCs, so all we could do was explore and play soccer/football.
  5. I have been given a reason to watch Nickelodeon once more. It's like how Legend of Korra (now Book 1) sucked me back in to that cancerous channel years ago. Will I ever truly be free?
  6. If the engineer/tinkerer was so skilled, I wish there could have been some exposition on it. Like he's had higher education, but didn't like his prior employer's environment. Ergo, he joined the salvage company to work with all the raw material or something. I agree on how they got away from stealing since instead of a whole truck the intent was to get the desired items and get out. Much like a mouse stealing crumbs, but instead this mouse is making gravity guns. I'm more so amazed they could maintain their business without a single slip-up. It wasn't until 8 years later that Shocker 1 ultimately screwed the pooch for the whole operation. But they all started after the first Avengers film which means they'd have to be very careful. I didn't keep up with AoS, but Shield and the Avengers were pretty active after New York. Really, what I think I'm driving at is how little there was for itemization and other balances that would allow for a continual leeching of alien tech after an alien invasion. I mean, if a single duffel bag goes unnoticed, what's to say the actual workers couldn't have been leaving bits here and there for themselves.
  7. You mean where you have to destroy the three turbines? What exactly kills you? At first I thought I could run on the edge, but those heat sink things will burn you. After that segment you're basically at the end because you go through a door and it's the cutscene with ol' Gary.
  8. Finally saw Spider-Man: Homecoming. Easily Top 3 Marvel films for me. I'm already a big Spider-Man fan, but this film does a lot different from the prior Spider-Man films. I will side with Holland being the best Peter Parker and this film alone being better than Spider-Man 2 thanks to Toomes/Vulture being a highlight point to this film's excellence. Michael Keaton was just so amazing as the antagonist and it helps that he has a realistic motive. My main gripe though is, though this is a comic book movie, it's hard to believe that a once salvage company is capable of manufacturing alien-hybrid weaponry and operating underground for 8 years. But I guess that's a testament once again to how great Toomes was; that I could overlook that gripe for the rest of the film. It wasn't until the end of the film that I realized how much Homecoming has deviated from some foundations of Spider-Man's origin. It's for the better after this being the second reboot and Spider-Man being introduced in Civil War. I remember reading up on the absence of spider-sense, so with that in mind I interpreted the suit AI being the film's replacement for spider-sense. It told Peter how many bad guys were in the van, where to go, and even said it was the right time to confess to Liz. It wasn't perfect though and it didn't stay around the entire film. Also, like Hot Heart said, there isn't quite an Uncle Ben moment and instead the film relies on Tony Stark to ground Peter more from being a reckless hero. He's like Peter's cool uncle that has the best toys. Speaking of relatives, new Aunt May is still hot. The film makes it a point to show you that's the consensus with those around Peter. Not from a sexual perspective, but I'm glad Aunt May is this young because my personal gripe with Spider-Man narratives is that Aunt May might as well be Peter's grandmother who would probably forget Peter is Spider-Man one afternoon. Liz was a serviceable love interest, but I suspected she was not the MJ of this new Spider-Man. I didn't actually see the twist and loved it. As for
  9. I haven't played Titan, mainly because I never cared for the playstyle of the class. However, seeing them in action, they're really formidable in Crucible with that shield ability and now that Striker has a roaming Super. I'm still a Hunter main through and through. It wasn't until I went onto the subreddit that I learned that Arcstrider does in fact has combos. Would have been useful last night against some foes. You'll need to know them to help close the gap. Speaking of, it is very possible to avoid the Supers. Actually, teamshooting is highly effective in this game now. It gets to the point where it's almost annoying. The Strike was kinda boring, and it didn't help out that either people were either very rusty or this is their first rodeo in Destiny. Of course I was a little rusty too and some of the same mechanics are a little tweaked. Given the weapons, perks, and cooldowns we have, enemies felt rather spongy. The Super cooldown is ridiculously long right now, but I want to believe that's because we have so little points in the 3 categories from armor. Most people have noticed it takes so long to start recovering health. Still, this is just the Beta and is suppose to be a sample of items. I'm seeing people getting it confused as the final product. Even in the Strike there's evidence that there's more to the terrain and structures that we'll be exploring. The enemies themselves have evolved for the better and I love our Vanguard and other NPCs being involved in the Main Story mission and Strike. So I'll definitely be getting the game, but for now I'll go with the Standard edition and use some of my Amazon credit to get it for cheap.
  10. Termites... Termites everywhere!

  11. Man it would be cool to find a Switch in time for Splatoon 2. While I've been on vacation, I've checked inventories out of curiosity. Granted I didn't go to every store; only the ones when getting supplies. I'd use some online trackers when I was bored for 5 minutes. Results were almost always Out of Stock. The only exception was that a Wal-Mart in Indianapolis seemed to have a few. However, I wasn't about to tell my family on vacation we should visit the big city 40 miles out so I could skulk about and purchase a video game console.
  12. I haven't redeemed my code yet. Went on vacation, but I'll be back home tomorrow to get it loaded up.
  13. So in Persona 4 Golden, who is best girl? Not like I ever have enough Courage to say "That's cute."

My bad! I just assumed you hadn't since you seem to only like awful games like Uncharted and PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.

Although, don't you think it's a bit odd that you don't have any trophies for it???

  14. Came here first because I just saw the trailer for the new seasons of FLCL. No joking, today I was thinking about how we haven't heard anything about the new seasons lately. Then this gets uploaded today! I'm not sure how I feel about new characters necessarily, but if it keeps the feeling/vibe of the original, I'll enjoy the ride. 14 year-old me would be wigging out. I mean, half my life ago FLCL aired in the US of A! And yes, Mister Jack, I watched Training of the Dead and it was entertaining. I wouldn't recommend anime-only viewers to watch it though because Izuku is further ahead character wise than his current anime development.
  15. Despicable Me 3 I think this will be the movie that will stand as a measurement of judging movies between good and bad. This is the very definition of "OK" where I'm okay I spent money to see it in a theater, but I doubt I would ever buy it for home viewing. It has such a bare-bones plot that isn't special. It doesn't do anything memorable, just serviceable. There are some good moments with Lucy bonding with the girls, and at times Gru bonding with his twin brother Dru is entertaining. But my goodness does Steve Carell's voice for Dru gets tiresome. It's Gru, but higher pitched. Ergo, there are many moments where it's Steve Carell talking to himself. And the movie's villain, Balthazar Bratt, is an okay villain because he does his role, but that's it. He's more of a plot point than a character, even with backstory. The Minions are also strictly Plot B material in the movie. They don't really have any focus besides being Minions in a separate plot. At the end, there's only one question:
  16. Played about 4 hours of the Lawbreakers Beta. It's CoD with Overwatch abilities with low gravity areas. Kinda alright, but it definitely has UI and balance issues. There's also a lot of little gameplay quirks that makes me appreciate Overwatch more with its effective simplicity.

The marketing I've seen for it make the thing look incredibly generic. 'Hey look at our game. It's got attitudez'

Maybe it'll be a lark, but based on what I've seen and what you've said. Nah.

They've already said balance is going to be "hosed" when it launches. Which is fair enough. It's impossible to balance a game during in house testing.

I do wonder if it is appealing to a diminishing crowd who still love BOIII style boost jumping and wall running.

I agree, it seems to lack Overwatch's clarity and focus.

  17. Given recent events, a.k.a. not finding a MM Link amiibo, I've begun picking up formerly elusive amiibo that are now more common. I don't collect for just the figure as I go for ones that serve a function in the games I play. Judge me as you see fit, for I have drank of the Splatoon cup, and it tastes FRESH! And alongside my Samus I imported Zero Suit Samus from Amazon Japan. At the time it was cheaper, but now it's marginally cheaper on Amazon US. If you're curious about Amazon Japan, my experience thus far is it's great. The Amazon Global shipping is EMS and customs are taken care of. It cost about $10 and ZSS will arrive on Monday. That's pretty dang fast, but a lot of people were ordering the new Zelda amiibo and getting them earlier this week. The easiest shopping experience is when Amazon Japan actually ships and sells the item. Third party sellers for the most part will not ship internationally. There's www.tenso.com/en/ that is a proxy address service where you can have third parties ship to your Tenso address, and then have Tenso ship to you. I haven't looked further into it yet, but if you're desperate and willing to spend more money to get something Japan exclusive or simply elusive, it seems to be well-praised online.
  18. Anyone here have a Amazon Japan account? Thinking about getting one right about now.

I assume shipper pays customs? Included in the shipping?

They included customs in the cost of the item, I seem to recall.

For the US, it's kind of like a lottery where you lose. If Customs choose to check your package then you'll get hit with import fees. If not, you're fine. I seem to recall that media isn't part of this anymore and it is pretty rare for them to be in Customs hell.

  19. There weren't amazing moments for you? I think I get where you're coming from, and chances are you'll find it in Season 2 with its first arc. Still, most moments from Izuku/Deku were so amazing. Maybe not always in an action sense, but the emotion you get from him as a viewer.
  20. So, whatcha think of MHA? Was it everything you had hoped for, PLUS ULTRA?!
  21. You know how I was contemplating getting a Switch? The ironic thing is even if I wanted one now, after this E3, everywhere around me sold out of the console. Like, that was the story for a lot of busier cities and etc. However, my local stores still had a relatively low stock floating around their inventory. They've all been sold out ever since. Either way, I'm waiting till Splatoon 2.
  22. There are statements from Nintendo representatives saying there will be a greater number of SNES Classics produced than the NES Classic. Of course, the downside is that there has been an indication that production will stop after 2017. So a Catch-22; greater chance of getting one so long as you seek it out before Christmas.
  23. Holy hell there are some cheap deaths in Uncharted 2. I was surviving the helicopter, and near the final part a desk goes physics crazy and kills me at full health. Like hell I'm going to get the 75 people killed with out dying trophy if this keeps happening.

Fuck that pole at the end of the chase with Elena. I had 59 enemies, but because Drake doesn't properly latch onto the pole, I fall to my death. Getting real tired of this shit.

My only main memory I had of an issue with Uncharted 2 was the fight at the end.

Uncharted 2, easy mode, get to first mob area. Kill the mobs, reload checkpoint repeat until 75 kills. Easy peasy.

  24. Well I tried to buy the Majora's Mask Link amiibo today, but no luck. I didn't realize it was a Best Buy exclusive, so after going there I basically wasted time going to Target and Wal-Mart. Where I live they're not that far apart, but driving on a busy Friday isn't that fun. I was at the mall getting new Converse shoes, and stopped by the GameStop. Ironically, they had all the Breath of the Wild amiibo (rather rare), but I don't bother collecting anymore. For once, one of the associates actually knew what they were talking about and informed me that the Majora's Mask one was exclusive. Like an illiterate fool, I kept missing the first line in Product Details online that said, "Only at Best Buy." Anyway, I order this baby instead because I'm getting hyped for Metroid and never actually got it from 2014.
  25. If you read the Grimoire, which is excellent and is the source of most Destiny lore, then... Yes, people thought there was an overarching and encompassing story. Ergo, it's a big shock that things actually in the game are being left half-baked. The Darkness I can live with, but the Exo Stranger being "complete" is strangely stupid. There was quite a noticeable disturbance over it online when that tidbit dropped.
