  1. Decked out in the freshest of Samurai Jack Season 5 apparel.

  2. Because people wanted to at least get the game around launch with promos/discounts since Nintendo games hardly ever drop in price. Sure the thing is sitting there doing nothing, but at least you got it for cheaper. Then there's that rich minority of gamer that buys a collector's edition to sit on their shelf while they play a standard copy.
  3. Ethan, the character I thought was a spoiler is already in Dean's post, so... Well then I've been living under a Ragna-rock because I wasn't aware Hulk was ever announced. As far as this movie, I've known everything else such as Goldblum being cast as Grandmaster. As far as anything in-universe there hasn't been any hint to his current whereabouts as far as I've seen. It would have been a great surprise, but I suspect they wanted Hulk in the trailer to drum up hype for the film. At least with all the coverage featuring Hulk over most anything else in the trailer, that's how I see it.
  4. Thinking to myself I'll probably buy a single new game when I get my tax refund (did them late this year). I've limited it to two: ME: Andromeda and Nier: Automata. Sure Andromeda has its faults, but the characters and combat look fun. I'm only driven to play Automata because of that sweet Platinum Games combat.

  5. On one hand, yay, that spoiler-tastic character! On the other hand, no, why show the spoiler-tastic character? Also, anyone else feeling the Guardians of the Galaxy vibes from the trailer? Even though there are 80's visuals, we've got Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song from 1970.
  6. We've been needing bagpipes. I'm suspecting that...
  7. It's blank to me. Was it perhaps the floating cart trick that's all the rage now? EDIT: Pulled URL from Inspect, here it is https://twitter.com/SharkticCircle/status/849467022228553728 It's funny, but seriously the weapon degradation becomes such a none issue halfway through the game when you're being given great weapons just from playing the game. No farming, just playing. If I jump back on tonight I'll take a screenshot of my inventory where I'm only 3 Divine Beasts down. I would say this has been my experience too: http://www.dorkly.com/post/82885/zelda-breath-of-the-wild-beginning-vs-end
  8. I didn't realize the first episode of My Hero Academia Season 2 was already out until I browsing Hulu last night. It's such an amazing series, especially Deku and his relationship to All Might. It's very inspirational and the supporting cast strengthening the main characters even more. Actually, I would say even the supporting characters get "main character" spotlight from time to time.
  9. If you're interested in Yooka-Laylee, it appears you'll want it on PC. Team 17, besides dampening PR, weren't able to optimally port the game over to X1 and PS4.

I might grab it for 10$. It looks alright but could easily be a game I play for an hour and go "Yeah, this is fucking boring."

    3. Mr. GOH!

      Mr. GOH!

I might play it if it were free.

I'd only play it if I was getting paid to play it.

  10. I helped build, maintain, and defend Darth Plagueis. I tried doing my own thing below it when it was just a collection of random pixels, but eventually a subreddit for a K-pop group built a banner. Outside of that, I added a little to Aku, but didn't defend it. I helped build the Steven Universe and Overwatch logo. However, eventually the Norwegians and Swedes got into a pissing contest and began expanding. I was up with others trying to maintain the Overwatch logo, but it was slowly dying. I guess a compromise was made where r/Overwatch could have the logo if Torbjorn was a part of it. Unfortunately the Norwegians cleared out a few Gems before this was finalized. It's for the best its over because it became a contest of bots and it was getting oddly political over pixels.
  11. Eh, it was brought up in Season 1 early on. Jerry brought up Rick's commitment problems a few times when arguing with Beth. Actually, he was the only character to ever address it when Rick was winning over the family. Unless there's really an interesting story behind it, for the most part the show has been sailing on by with the concept of Rick being self-centered and fabricating his past on a whim. I mean, even if we get a backstory, this episode showed us Rick can easily bend the truth. It's kinda like the Joker from The Dark Knight with all his stories about his scars.
  12. I like Rick and Morty, but Saturday night is for my Samurai Jack! Also, doesn't it feel like we're back to Square One with Rick and Morty after tonight's episode?
  13. All too real tonight Jack... All too real.
  14. https://www.reddit.com/r/place/ Currently taking part in the Darth Plagueis meme mid-right. It's actually kinda interesting as a social experiment and it appears the time begins to double after a while before you can place another pixel.
  15. Looking at my profile I see I've had 32 Days Won. Apparently getting the most likes in a day means you've won.

    Yay!

I'll feel good about myself as long as I have more days won than FLD and GOH.

      Thursday Next

93 days won, and 1 abusive behaviour (which he fully deserved and was totally worth the strike).

Damn, so jealous, I've never gotten any abusive behaviour.

  16. On WiiU. It's not every time, but what's interesting to me is that it only happens when I land a critical shot on a Moblin. No other enemy type and the only difference is that Moblins are the larger common enemy type that can ragdoll.
  17. Lately the only thing now that ever bothers me about framerate is that when I land a critical shot on a Moblin in an active environment, the effect and character animation causes the game to hitch for somewhere around three seconds. Seems to only happen on the first time because I'll shoot again and nothing bad happens.
  18. Like coming back home to see all the homes getting a hip urban renovation.

  19. So funny enough I was submitting this post when the forum went down. I'll keep it much shorter. I didn't talk about this to bring up the character of JonTron. What was said is pretty self explanatory in its nature, and all of you on Twitter can find his tweet where he understands Playtonic's decision and wishes them the best of luck. I find it hyperbole to call Jon a white supremacist, but one does have to be a fool to say racist shit and ultimately he had his Kill Whitey moment. I hope he can get his act together because YouTube is not an easy career, even when you're not controversial and have adoring fans. As for the proof of the shit-talking, I looked into it much further and it seems to be a combination of locks/blocks and people from Team 17, the publisher of Yooka-Laylee who were creating a PR nightmare. Maybe it's because Playtonic Games is a new studio, but is it normal for a publisher to be in charge of forums for a game? So really a couple of bad eggs spoiling the bunch. The best I can find at this time, and not being on Twitter myself, is a brief segment from a YouTuber whose video had some screenshots off Twitter. For your sake end it at 8:50 because the guy gets it wrong afterwards by misunderstanding the Banjo-Kazooie method of speech. But there-in lies the irony of this controversy and why I felt like posting this topic. If there was a vocal minority of people adamant on not having Jon's garbled speech audio in the game, why are those who want to keep the "gurble-burgle" audio the idiots? Yes, you could say there is a composition of idiots and racists who want the audio back in, but at the same time you could say there's a vocal minority who won't even be getting the game and wanted to have Jon punished for his comments. It's not like having his audio in the game changes the game for better or worse, but people are working off of "the principle" with no idea what it evens sounds like or what character was given his garbled voice. So at the end of the day, Playtonic Games had to decide which foot to shoot off. The one that labels them as racists by an online community, or the one that labels them SJWs by an online community. If you ask me, it looked like Playtonic Games would have preferred to have Jon's audio fly under the radar, but once someone points it out, you can't stay neutral lest you incur the wrath of both sides.
  20. Obviously we were on vacation and left all our stuff at home. When we boot up Destiny 2 for the first time, our character will be equipped with a t-shirt saying, "I visited The Last City and all I got was this lousy t-shirt." I also thought it a wasted opportunity to slap three humans on the cover. Having an Exo and Awoken alongside a human to represent the three races of the three classes. Even for those new to Destiny walking the retail aisle would find it more interesting seeing a humanoid robot and glowing indigo person next to a human.
  21. Puttin' the ol' fear of clowns back into kids
  22. So I nearly forgot that Yooka-Laylee was coming out in April. I was watching Gameranx's Games of April video and I noticed a comment about how someone wasn't going to get the game because of what they did to JonTron. I was like, "Wait, what happened?" So a few days ago Playtonic Games, developers of Yooka-Laylee, announced they were dropping JonTron's voice role in the game. You know, the work he supplied a few years ago because he was one of their biggest supporters as a huge fan of the Banjo-Kazooie series. But given JonTron's highly controversial and possibly misspoken comments from some stream/podcast, they've taken the approach of pleasing the offended parties and disassociating themselves from him. Playtonic Games ultimately have the right, but the real shitstorm is from something else. For those who disagreed with the decision to remove JonTron and wanted a refund, a.k.a. no game, they're being denied a refund and censored on the official forums and Steam forums. Compound this with people from Playtonic Games shit-talking the people demanding refunds and you've got a recipe for mediocre sales. You know, something akin to another Kickstarter game that was a spiritual successor to a prior series. Lately I feel as though the Internet is entering a new age of McCarthyism. Sniffing out the secret Nazi/racists and putting an end to their career, even if there's little evidence to convict someone of being such a person. JonTron's comments were pretty bad, and I've always thought if I ever met him we'd be oil and water, but I respect the guy for the content he pushes out there for people to enjoy. I honestly don't envy the people who have made a career of being Internet famous as now you're being analyzed on a scale of SJW-to-Nazi.
  23. Perks of being a Hunter main: Best Vanguard I'm little more intrigued about the sequel and looks like the Cabal will have a big role (finally).
  24. I don't know if it was a one time bug, but I was watching a video where you're interacting with the NPC Ryder twin and the character momentarily was speaking both the NPC and Player dialogue. Found it: https://youtu.be/0wquYp6itwM?t=3m50s
  25. Damn, the new episode of Samurai Jack started a bit slow, but the entire package was excellent.
