  1. I put my computer together, but before I post the result, I have one problem. No ethernet access, and I didn't get a wireless card. So, which option should I go with? I don't plan on running wireless with this desktop, but my current setup doesn't have any place for a wired connection. Should I get a USB wireless adapter, or put in a card? Any recommendations? EDIT: And by "no ethernet," I mean there's no outlet for ethernet close by and wireless is the only option.
  2. I was disappointed first when I heard of only the first DLC, a.k.a. "challenges," but that story DLC has made the Season Pass worth it.
  3. I think it must be harvesting time because I can barely inhale through my nose. I am truly the perfect specimen of the human male, sans the ability to breathe.

Don't know. I was stretching. Didn't work. Carry on.

  4. The Wolverine Rather than going over what it does good, most of its faults come from keeping with the established X-Men films for some sense of continuity. Even with that dragging it down, it keeps Wolverine's Japanese travels on roughly a similar path. Female villian was annoying and was begging for a painful death. Love interest was absolutely hot, but then again I have a thing for Asian women (so sue me). One would think there weren't that many disposable Yakuza henchmen in Japan, but that bullet train showdown was worth it.
  5. Bosses come down to finding a pattern. (Well, the first three at least.) The Architect is key to defeating bosses because finding your way to the boss chamber is always the more difficult part. The final boss does have a pattern, but you should be more concerned with mobility and dodging. That's why Vertigo is the worst trait: it hinders your mobility. I unlocked the Dragon class last night, but I'm also stuck in New Game+2. The Dragon class probably would have been useful in the less difficult variants of the game. In this mode, there's nothing to really gain except for a harcore challenge. It is practically Ikaruga with how many projectiles and flying enemies there are in a single room.
  6. I don't care much for Steam achievements, but when I saw two that suspiciously were locked for Rogue Legacy, I learned of the secret class. It's so simple, yet so well hidden.

  7. Netflix has been a saving grace lately. I'll work, having to deal with who knows what, and come home to watch old Saturday morning cartoons, some 80's or 90's movie, and those direct release DC animated movies.

  8. I've beaten New Game+. In total I was at 245 children at Lv. 199. Before I beat the game at around Lv. 115 with 188 children. Herodotus is a bitch, but this time I was more prepared. The boss battle still has a luck factor, but once you're playing on New Game+, any higher value treasure chest will give you a blueprint and fairy chests, once you have all the Runes, will give you stat boosters. There is a New Game+2 and it is Dark Souls level of difficult. First room I entered I died because all the enemies are the top tier type. I get 25 Gold per coin now, so you're bound to at least get one upgrade at your manor. Still, I think I'm satisfied with my run of the game. I'd like to have had my family fully decked out with the top tier armors, but blueprints are harder to come by than fairy chests.
  9. I plan on having a Wii U by then, not specifically for this one game. I'm not too motivated to start saving up for one now though, and I didn't even bother getting the Kirby 20th Anniversary Collection for $8 today because I haven't played my Wii in a long while. I'm about to have a desktop PC with a dozen games I can finally play, so I don't think another platform will be an option soon.
  10. Mali, if you're still looking for a 3DS, Best Buy is having a July "Black Friday" sale. Original 3DS for $140, XL for $170.

Not now since I lost my credit card last week and my Sugar Daddy(ies) haven't paid me enough for such a luxury. Next month is the time. NOT NOW FUCKING BESTBUY.

I actually could get the 3DS but I sort of decided on the XL.

My game lineup so far is New Leaf, Fire Emblem, Zelda games, Pokemon (Maybe) and whatever else that may catch my eye. Since New Leaf and Fire Emblem are already out, they can hold me through till the next release of whatever game.

What makes the deal sweeter? Discover card has $5 cash back for every $25 spent at Best Buy right now.

  11. I beat the final boss last night. How did I do it? Well, the legitamate way was only getting me a quarter left on the second form's health. There's only so many times you can get lucky with the knife wall attack. Even with a Retaliation Rune (or two), you're not going to get quite far enough if you can't handle repeatedly avoiding that particular attack. I thought the Archmage would never be a good choice, but I did level up quite a bit and invested in magic attack strength. Still, you need Chakrams because I just spammed Chakrams. I had 432 Mana, with the Chakrams only costing me 14 Mana. If you get him at the Chakrams maximum distance where it stays still for a few seconds, add a few more because you can cast multiple, it's a fast fight. STILL BE CAREFUL OF YOUR HEALTH! My Archmage could really only take four hits, and I had three hits on me near the end. As far as traits, I imagine the Gay trait might change the ending scene in the credits. I never saw Black and White as a negative, and depending on what Spell you have, Two Left Hands won't affect you or can sometimes be useful. For me, the Near-Sighted and Far-Sighted traits didn't seem like they would be that hazardous, but the effect onscreen slowed down my computer. There are moments where you do want to see what's exactly at the corner on the screen, so Near-Sighted would be negative. Perma-roid, a.k.a. push enemies further back, should be a positive. It definitely helps in the final boss battle, but other times it can push back wiley enemies way far back and make fighting them a hassle. Still overall a positive compared to Weak Limbed. Nostalgia is another neutral like the B&W trait. It's a Sepiatone filter. Dyslexia is mostly neutral, but if you ever want to read Journals, well, yeah... EDIT: Oh, and it totals how many children it took you. For me: 188 (Damn fourth boss...) Now for Legacy+! Already defeated the first boss again with a Dwarf Spellsword launching Mega Spells (or whatever).
  12. I'll follow this up with another amazing Extra Credits episode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA2rQqCdSjI This explains me pretty well right now. I'm currently employed in a job right now, but I wouldn't be making it if I still didn't have the support of my parents. It makes me feel a bit guilty about spending money on entertainment purposes, but I've also tried to break out of this job field I'm in with little positive results. There's such a great sense of no control in life that we begin to believe that others do have that control over us. Games give us control over a world we find ourselves in, whether it's one of fantasy or science. Ones where we can get lost in the immersion of competitive play or fantastic stories woven my specialized minds. You're given clear objectives, and you know your skills and limitations. Things are set and there is a path before you if you pursue it. It's what we'd like in life, but it gets muddle in so many affairs because there are millions just like us existing in the real world.
  13. In the document, the product specification shows the PS4 is 2.8kg, whereas the original PS3 was around 5kg. Operating Temperature is shown as "5-35 deg. C" where others have interpreted it as the PS4's highest temperature readout. Of course, that's ridiculous because that's 95 degrees Fahrenheit. The internal temperature is going to be well over that, but again that's interpreted as "it's designed to run cooler." All we know for sure is that it is actually lightweight. EDIT: To clarify, that "5-35 Celsius" stuff really is just your recommended room temperature range for operating most electronic devices. You wouldn't want to place your Nintendo Wii U on an oven or the Xbox One on a frozen lake.
  14. What Wally said, though Code Geass also has the most frequent fan service of any supernatural/mecha anime I've seen. I'm sure there's something else out there, but... That table will never be the same again! YOUR FRIENDS EAT OFF THERE, GIRL!
  15. I got back to playing the game, and I swear I've lost my edge because the final boss trashed me good. So now I'm going to go and grind to work my way up again. I think I've discovered a key tactic to defeating the second form, but it requires me to invest in a skill branch I've ignored.
  16. Bought final component for PC. Soon... SOON!

You will more than likely have to RMA at least one part.

The first time I built my own PC I completely forgot to get a power supply, so I went to the local computer store and bought one for like twice what it would have been on Newegg, but I was tired of waiting.

    3. Mr. GOH!

      Mr. GOH!

I've built about a dozen computers and only have had to RMA twice, both times for faulty power supplies.

      TheMightyEthan

It seems like I get at least one bad stick of RAM every time, even when I'm careful and only get highly rated ones.

  17. I wish we got that cool Luigi 3DS XL, otherwise I don't think I could justify upgrading to an XL having a 3DS already. Handheld games aren't much of a priority to me anymore.
  18. PS4, lighter and runs cooler than the PS3. At least for now, that's what we know. I don't know the probability of the console having some hellfire moment where the temp spikes dramatically, but I think Sony may have learned from the flaws of the PS3.
  19. Buy remaining five Steam Summer cards, or wait and sell my five cards?

    1. CrowKnow

      CrowKnow

If you're buying do it quick before prices go up. If you're selling hold on till the become rarer. Are you more interested in getting xp? or "rewards" from crafting like emotes/backgrounds etc

Steam cards: sometimes the only way to win is not to play.

  20. I'll just list off my games I got from Steam during the Summer Sale. (Not exactly sure how you get the nice thumbnails.) Rogue Legacy Remember Me Mark of the Ninja Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition Bastion + Soundtrack Strike Suit Zero Just Cause 2 Dragon's Lair Sanctum 2 All for a grand total of $75.41, so a little over the standard price of a new game. I got Dragon's Lair, though it wasn't my Community Choice, because it dawned on me that the other platform I have the game for is the App Store. I was tempted to get Scibblenauts Unlimited, but if I ever do get a Wii U, I'd like it for that platform. Otherwise, I'm a little underwhelmed at some of the picks for Summer Deals. I have a feeling that some games were only popular picks because they were repeatedly offered ever other day. Maybe not at the same discount, but still deeply discounted. Not truly a complaint, but a longing for more variety.
  21. So if today is the last day, the Community Choice and Flash Sale has only tonight, right? Maybe I will get Alan Wake if it wins.

    1. CorgiShinobi

      CorgiShinobi

Well, Alan Wake didn't win, but it looks like there's another Community Choice.

  22. I'm not watching. Watching even a clip of the first episode would only make the next two months worth going into rehab over the feels of seeing new characters, old friends, spirits, and awesome elemental martial arts. I'll just watch all of Book 1 a few more times.
  23. I got Strike Suit Zero as well, and the negatives I've heard about is that the campaign/story is terrible. I haven't played it, but it seems that the main draw to the game is playing in space as a ship capable of transforming into a mech. That's worth a few bucks, but at the same time I didn't go all out and get the Mega Bundle. I like to try out a game before I throw money at the whole gamut of franchise add-ons.
  24. All I want for my birthday is Book 2. Nothing else, NOTHING!
