Which is why I'm singling out the military groups. There's dialogue a plenty to show that Hunter groups are prone to enslave, rape, and/or murder women. As for the military (and Fireflies), we have evidence that female soldiers exist, but we don't actually fight any. Don't forget that orphanages were military academies too, and with little remaining quarantine zones, I wouldn't think soldiers would be picky as to who puts on armor and handles a rifle. We have plenty of strong female survivors. Not only Tess and Marlene, but...

I wouldn't really count Infected as male/female considering it's the fungus taking hold over the body. I mean, yeah, there are women in that group, but when...

I honestly have no idea other than Firefly/Fireflies is a cool name with a ring to it in their motto; the "look for the light," or whatever. As for the plot... Which leads me to a point; we didn't have many female enemies. The military most cetainly had female soldiers, i.e. cutscenes, but I don't believe we ever fought any. In the multiplayer you can spawn as a female, so there's definitely violence to and from both sex. I can see the Hunters being exclusively male, but any soldier group could have had female members. Was Naughty Dog concerned about Old Man Joel stabbing and shooting women?

The rush of taking out three guys in less than a minute on The Last of Us multiplayer is BIG. Just like the main game, seeing two enemies means you're in trouble. Seeing three and you either need a miracle or an amazing loadout.

His girlfriend already had to come out to defend herself after the onslaught of her Twitter feed. She's hardly the reason Jon just up and left Game Grumps, but at the same time I'm confident she was/is a reason. If it really was an issue of "not enough JonTron," I don't get how bad it would have been for him to up and leave not only Game Grumps, but also LA. I'm sure Jon had a kind of Pros and Cons list, and honestly, I don't really blame him for his own life choices. I'm kinda bummed we couldn't have gone a whole year, and that Sonic '06 is pretty much dead unless Jon can Gust Grumps and do a Sonic '06 Finale Special.

It's the dynamic that I think is causing people to cry out Game Grumps is dead. Pretty much all the well-known Game Grump remixers are throwing in the towl as well as a few better known fan animators. Jon and Arin had Yin and Yang and it created some deeply memorable material. Danny is okay, but otherwise it's hard to get into the new episodes. It has literally become "two guys play a video game" and not much else. I'm glad it's not at the same levels of suck as "Steam Train," but a truly significant part of Game Grumps has been lost.

TIL: Bricks can kill Clickers and be used in a melee attack three times versu a bottle's one time use. Bottles are still better for distractions and just as good for stunning.

Yes, Square with them equipped. Great for when you have a lot of Runners and just one Clicker and don't want to waste a shiv.

I discovered the brick/bottle melee thing early on (got into enough fights...)and I had a suspicion that bottles were better for distraction, but I didn't know about the clicker thing. Interesting!

New system update for PS3. Hmm, wouldn't be such a bad idea to do a system backup beforehand, what with last time.

Well I'm glad. Backup is almost finished. I do plan on keeping this PS3 of mine until the day I die. Only other original console I ever had die on me was a Game Boy.

Ah, I never owned the first Slim, and considering the change in hardware, it would make sense that the power supply changed back then too.

Should I stick with getting a GTX 660 graphics card, or go ahead with a GTX 760 for basically $50 more? I've seen some information putting the card series around or above 660 Ti cards. At this point, even with discounts and rebates, 660 Ti cards are a little more expensive. I had always planned on getting the Gigabyte GTX 660 card for $209, but now there are two cards for $259 that I'm looking into.

It's the same as the latest redesign for the PS3. The PS3 use to have a standard PC power cord, but Sony switched over to the two-prong cord (whatever it may be called) for the "Super Slim." I don't know if this means the PS4 is more energy efficient, or if the console itself will be underpowered for cost efficiency. Considering the amount of ventilation on the box, it shouldn't be such a problem in terms of cooling/heat.

Game Grumps just doesn't feel the same. Danny is alright, but Jon, while a big butt, added a flavor of zaniness that made the show stand out. Now I feel like it'll be another LP where instead of "dang ass" we get "Oh, huh, yeah that is funny isn't it."

I just read that most remixers have stated that they'll potentially stop because of Jon's absence. Not that they're upset, I think, but because Jon was the contributing factor to have remix material.

Just paid for the Canti figure that has been my avatar for a while. The shipping was high, but I got it for $73.01. Much better than paying twice the cost of a seller who already imported.

It took me 10 years to finally watch it, but I got through all of Trigun! For most of the series, it felt like the kind of anime I've always wanted. I could go on in detail, but eventually I did find myself a little put off when the series reached it's sci-fi twist. I didn't want this to end up like it did for me with Eureka Seven, where everything went along a finely structured story only to have the remaining episodes to muddle everything that was built up. Fortunately Trigun pulled it off, though I can't say I was always 100% when Vash would get so emotional. There are times when you appreciate a hero who understands the weight of his power, but at times it can be persistently annoying (i.e. Aang - TLA). However, you have many strong and interesting characters, like Meryl, Milly, and Wolfwood. The group was superb, and Meryl got me nerd crushing. Some of the villans seemed dumb, like that spike ball Gun-ho, and spinning bullet guy. Plants weren't properly explained, though you can figure that in by how the series is an anime adaption of, what was, an incomplete manga series. Thankfully the Internet is a vast resource of after-series information. Now, I think I'll contemplate when I'll buy the movie, or the complete manga series. THIS WORLD IS MADE OF LOVE AND PEACE!

Which specific moment? To me, there were three moments that did feel out of place for The Last of Us. I don't want to spoil anything, but for the most part you really could run away from enemies and progress just fine. It would obviously put pressure on yourself to find the exit, and there will be times where you can't progress because button prompts won't appear until enemies lose sight of you.

You know, I can accept Jon leaving to focus on Jontron. I can even accept that they keep the channel going with some other guy. But that steam train spinoff show was SHIT.

I desperately try my best to turn a conversation into a mutual discussion rather than myself going on, and on, and on. I hate feeling like I'm dominating the conversation, saying everything about my troubles or what I'll be doing later. Then I get, "Oh, nothing much." Awkward silence... Ask a few more questions. Nothing.

Well, from what little I've been able to watch, it has the air that it wants to challenge gender stereotypes, but the method it goes about it is superficial. I forgot to mention that the boy has a sister who, from my short sampling, is the "girl power" feminist type, to the point of exclaiming "Oh my Goddess." She believes she should have been the next Shezow, and while she helps her brother, she also gets a kick out of her brother failing at girly things. Of mention is that their father is a police officer who has had it out for Shezow, though in truth the original Shezow was their great aunt. I got the feeling it was like a "vigilante justice" tension rather than the father being some kind of macho-sexist type. I'm sure somewhere along the line the two siblings will come to respect each other more, understanding, and etc. Just the show is terrible and I commend anyone able to rough it out to see if it ever gets to that point. Oh, and the boy has a best friend who knows he's Shezow too, but I'm not sure where that goes other than having an accomplice other than a sister.

Make a game where Troy Baker portrays a single father caring for his 19 year-old, 14 year-old, and 9 year-old daughter in a futuristic dystopian society where the outside world has both mutant zombies and caravans of plaid shirt raiders/racists. One day the 19 year-old is kidnapped by the most notorious of raiders, the Argyle Alliance. They're so bad, they don't wear plaid! Include violence, romance, suspense, trucks, guns, robots, and explosions. AAA GOTY Winner of 53 E3 Awards and 10/10 IGN.

Bottles and bricks are your friends. There's a reason why there are so many of them laying around for your use. You'd think enemies might notice how a bottle or brick flew past their head when you're right around the corner, but in my experience they don't. Especially for the Infected, bottles and bricks are great to make enemies gather in a spot so you can make good distance between you and them. Clickers, when close to you, can begin to detect you. I've had experience in that regard, but they're primarily walking mines. As soon as they grab you, you're dead unless you have Shiv Master and willing to use a shiv to defend yourself. They can only be taken out with shivs, but again, unless you're in a lower difficulty and willing to gather supplies, it's up to you if you want to use your items there, rather than later, for an enemy you could potential bypass. You can stealth a lot in the game, in fact you'd be wise to stealth the final area of the game. Thing is, the game wouldn't necessarily penalize you if you feel that you have the resources and skill to take on enemies with weapons and melee. That's on Normal or Hard; Survival is a completely different beast.

The Shezow topic has subsided given that even when you see it doesn't have "an agenda," it's a rather dull show that misses more than it hits on jokes and mainly because it focuses primarily on how a 12 year-old boy is dressed as a girl. Serious, go ahead and watch the pilot and tell me you have an interest in watching more. So really, either people don't watch it because of the cross-dressing, or people above the age of 11 years have little interest or tolerance for the show. I've read how people wanted to give it more of a chance because it could "break gender roles," but it really is just about a rather "macho" boy who can have superpowers only if he commits to doing "girly" things while dressed as a girl.

I still haven't seen Monsters University, but I'm not going in expecting it to surpass many of the Pixar films. It's looks like a straight forward comedy perfect for friends and family. We're use to Pixar movies tugging at the entire emotional spectrum that I think it would be hard to admit that any future Pixar movie that doesn't make you laugh and cry is "Pixar" quality. Monsters Inc. had Boo, the pivotal character that made up the entirety of cute and sad moments.
