  1. Hype boners ALL AROUND! Don't be shy, there's more than enough to go around!
  2. When I double post, I double post WITH HONOR! Meet Wan, the first Avatar
  3. Hmm, nothing too tempting on Steam today. Both Saints Row III and Xcom I could play for free, and I already own Far Cry 3.

  4. It's not up to me to decide! Anyways, I'm probably going to jump back on r/TheLastAirbender considering things will be rolling soon. I'm anticipating my envy of all who are attending Comic Con this year. I just saw there will be this print there!
  5. I assume it's because he wasn't as invested in most of the characters. Not that he hated any of them, but they were just there for the story. I think it would have helped if he watched the first half again, but I don't think he wanted to spend too much time. It's definitely a different story from The Last Airbender, so there's that too. The Gaang went on adventures, whereas The Krew were some teens fighting a revolution. Of course, he's also getting pretty old and forgot who Zuko was, so he wasn't as thrilled when General Iroh II showed up. He was like, "That guy... wait, he sounds like someone." I led him on, like who Iroh was and that he did sound like a character from Last Airbender. "Oh! Wait, what did Zuko do?" From a man who has watched Sozin's Comet Part 1 - 4 five times.
  6. If I buy the Bastion soundtrack off Steam, how do I own/have the music files? Having bought anything off Steam outside of games.

      About the Game

Includes the Bastion Original Soundtrack with music by Darren Korb in MP3 format, an hour-long album featuring two bonus tracks not heard in the game.

Songs will be placed in your Bastion folder in the Steam Directory: ...Steam\steamapps\common\Bastion\Soundtrack

Ah, so I had to hover over the soundtrack part of the bundle. Seems I was one step away from my answer.

  7. Watched the last half of Legend of Korra for my father since he never saw it all. I think Amon's identity was one of few reasons why he watched Legend of Korra. In my opinion, he could be considered a Last Airbender fan. He has watched the series finale about five times now. When he finished Legend of Korra, he was kinda "meh." I think mainly because of the teenage drama and Asami's daddy issues. Literal daddy issues, not anything mental. In other news (because why not mention it in this thread now), The Search Part 2 was pretty freaking good. I actually felt like we got enough substance to think on until the final part. There were definitely answers to some of our age old TLA mysteries.
  8. I think for the PS3, there won't ever be as much "convincing" for PS+ as there will probably be with the PS4. Considering multiplayer is going to be a PS4 PS+ feature, I'm sure we'll see more deals on the 3 Month Plan. Otherwise, I did recently get another three months with that bundle off Best Buy. If you already own both a PS3 and Vita, then you can't take advantage of those Instant Game Collection bundles. The PS4 will have those bundles with a game and 1 Year Plan, so there's always a good foothold for PS+ when the PS4 is out.
  9. See, if I ever come to a point in the game where I just can't progress from either lack of skill, patience, or plain ol' frustration, I can at least tell myself that I only spent $7.49 rather than, "Shit, and I payed $60 for this game!" It's why I've been holding out for it. It has been around $20 for PS3 on Amazon, but I always bought something else. Now that I'm going to have a good gaming PC (once the GPU arrives), I figured at this price for Prepare to Die Edition, it was going to be as good as it gets.
  10. I got Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition as well... For $7.49, I thinking I'll be able to tolerate my constant death toll.
  11. Definitely trying to contain myself, but it's hard to resist a game when it's not even at the $5 mark, as in Mark of the Ninja! With Remember Me, Rogue Legacy, and Mark of the Ninja, I'm still under $50!
  12. Finally defeated the fourth boss. It was terrible, and I nearly "rage quit" when I died only needing one more hit. About three children later and I got lucky again and best this horrible boss with it's high standard of luck. It's one of those "waity" kind of bosses where you need to wait for a while to strike maybe two times at most. In total, I probably wasted nearly 30 children. Now I'm on the final boss, and I've gotten close to defeating him. I think I have to accept I'll need to grind a bit more to get better gear and stats. There are two forms, and the first isn't bad when you're using a class you're good with. My advice has always been that if you're stuck with a less than optimal class, just go on a treasure raid until you end up dead.
  13. Hmm, I assumed it was for your birthday. Maybe as a way to make sure only adults would bid on the costumes and/or weapon props.
  14. It'll ask for your birthday, then play a YouTube video where the items you see in the video will pop up below telling you what date the item will be available to bid on. So there is quite a bit of script going on. Still, unless you have a crap ton of Gold Trophies, I wouldn't expect to win anything. If you want to see the items up for bid, PlayStation Blog
  15. Didn't know exactly where to put this, but Sony has something for you to use your Gold trophies on. https://www.bidforgreatness.com/ If you haven't clicked yet, it's an auction for props used in the Greatness ad Sony had done a while. Rather than money, your Gold trophies are the currency you use to bid on items (and you don't lose them). It's mostly costumes, weapons, and some concept art. Items are scheduled for bidding, but the short and skinny of this all is that unless you whored yourself through dozens upon dozens of games, I don't think you're going to win anything with double digit count of Gold Trophies. Currently a Killzone outfit is 300+ Gold trophies.
  16. You've beaten the boss? Yeah, when I would be Barbarian, that class ability cam in handy, but my Barbarian class only has 107 Mana, so the shout and any projectiles I have don't last long.
  17. I got the game when it was $11.99 on Steam. I feel like it was worth it, though... The fourth boss is absolutely ridiculous. There's a strong element of chance to it, and I've probably wasted 20 children on it. I've come close about four times, and each little slime piece is hard to hit because of the spikes covering the ground. Flame Shield worked great, but I still had seven little slimes and the Archmage is still weak health. It took three hits and he was dead. It's those stupid "Gravitors" as well. The green cloaked guys that will summon rock pillars. You really have to take out one at a time when they appear. I had a few attempts where I had five out at once and it was impossible with all the jumping high leveled slimes and summoned pillars.
  18. Urck, that was... Oh my... The mother sounded more like a lunatic than a mother. "That toy is MAGIC! Jehova HATES MAGIC! Do you want to make Him sad?" Yeah kid, do you want to ruin his day with that piece of plastic? It's not like magic is a fantasy concept derived in modern times for the purposes of entertainment!
  19. I was okay with the boat sword in the trailers, but yeah, they use the boat as a sword for (I think) three good hits. I thought to myself that maybe you could get away with a single hit, but that the boat would be broken into pieces afterwards. Another little thing was how, though the pilots are neuro-linked and should be in each other's head, Mako brings attention to Raleigh that Gypsy Danger has a sword now. It's something that works, or is literally normal, 99.99% of the time because, well, how many other action movies do you have where the partners are sharing brain power?
  20. Guys, I'm thinking someone who got my card info today may have been from recent online services, i.e. Steam. All I'm saying is, today someone tried to get away with $150 of Starbucks gift cards. Maybe check out your banking account, because that's been one of my few online purchases aside from Newegg.

  21. Kinda sucks that there aren't more options, but here's my 10 minute attempt.
  22. Personally, I think if you're good at stealth, AI partner "scrambling" won't pop up a lot. I still got it a few times because some areas there isn't always a lot of cover for your partners close by you, so they'll run out in the open to then get beside you with your cover. This happened to me in the subway terminal with Tess where you have to take out the Clicker beside the exit. Ellie was right behind me, but Tess ran out, ran right beside the Clicker and came back to the cover I was behind. Still beats the alternative of AI partners ruining your stealth. My stats show that I had partners die four times, but I know that's probably a glitch from restarting an encounter. Kinda like my random death I mentioned earlier in this thread.
  23. Just saw Pacific Rim, and it was pretty amazing. Obviously it has the summer blockbuster flaws, but most everything I can think of are nitpicks. You have to remember, the very notion of giant humaniod mecha is highly impractical and goes against a megaton of real world physics. If you ever get the chance, read the two page article in the latest Wired magazine. Hell, it would take so much more lift/power to lift a Jaeger than a handful of Chinook helicopters. I don't know where Wired got the specific heights, but supposedly the Kaiju and Jaegers are taller than other mecha and "kaiju" of other films. Either way, I thought when it came down to it, the movie explained itself enough to roll with a stand-alone original movie. I'm not sure you could truly make another Pacific Rim other than... Anyway, del Toro wanted to be super original (as far as the genre goes) so you're not going to see any references. I didn't mind how there was a time jumo because it filled you in on the intial attacks, the development of Jaegers, and so forth. Seeing the beginning would have been slow if you think about it. This movie drops you into the culture of a world use to giant mecha and giant monsters. The neuro-link stuff still bugged me like I thought it would, but I was able to tolerate it. They did mention how pilots could be linked up, but you would have to find highly compatible pilots to effectively fight. That's why... It also got to me when...
  24. I defeated the third boss last night, but for the life of me I still don't think I'll be able to tackle the "Realm of Darkness" part of the castle. Like, I've been unlocking a lot of Runes, but as far as I see it, I've been good on Runes for most of the game. I wish I was unlocking more Blueprints because better gear gear would probably be better help than upping a few stats after each death.
  25. Nothing quite scares you like a random debt collector call. Sure, I have no debt and it was a wrong number, but it's still frightening.

I've had a few letters delivered to my address regarding debt owed by previous tennants. I wonder if, at some point this ass and his friends decided to just redirect mail here.

I've also had a collector turn up at my door. Thankfully he asked first and i proved who i was before he barged past me.
