  1. To me, especially given the spread of all the moments with his brother, it finally sunk through to Sasuke what Itachi did for him and everyone in Konoha. Everything else was someone egging on his anger and drive to gain power. I can't imagine there ever being another turning point because we're in the endgame for Naruto. Nothing would compare, let alone a shot of all Four Hokages overlooking Konoha. EDIT: Unless this were Asura's Wrath, then I could assume the planet is going to open up and some ancestral beast of evil will attack the world.
  2. Batman Beyond was fantastic. It does its own thing based on the previous series rather than thousands of comic books. The movie, Return of the Joker, was both creepy and excellent in terms of drama and fan service. Want to know something that hasn't aged well? Tim Burton's Batman. I loved it as a kid, though you slap Batman onto anything and I would love it. I watched it a few days ago and it's all kinds of cheeeeeeeeeese. Oh, and massive amounts of awkward. You soon realize that Batman can't turn his head, so he's like a very stiff and mediocre crime fighter. Though I have to ask, kid... You ever dance with the devil in the pale moon light?
  3. After defeating Itachi, his older brother, Sasuke has had a grudge against the village, even though Itachi made it clear how he was ordered to stop the rebellion the entire Uchiha clan was in on. To Sasuke, Konoha and its people had to pay, almost how Itachi had to pay for killing their clan. He has been this bundled up ball of angst and revenge that he was dead set on killing anyone who got in his way of destroying Konoha. Even Sakura, who he would have sliced in half if Naruto didn't arrive in time. Now, after all that exposition from Hashirama, Sasuke has decided to defend Konoha. So yeah, Sasuke has finally gotten his head straight, even after having a conversation with his dead brother some odd chapters ago, and is going to fight alongside Naruto. Or I dunno, maybe he'll backstab everyone and yell out something really emo.
  4. He was one of those Voxophone story characters, like Hattie Gerst. Someone we didn't actively see, but if we found the right Voxophones, we knew their story. It's similar to the other BioShock games, though I would say more memorable. To make it clear... Hattie Herst essentially explained the Handyman dilemma. Why someone would become a Handyman, and eventually the repercussions of having such an alteration. Quite frankly, her last Voxophone sparked a bit of emotion in me given the "current state" you find it.
  5. MisterJack, stop misleading everyone! Sasuke is on his way to kiss Naruto.
  6. This was linked after watching the one above.
  7. Even with all my damage increasing gear, snipers take two hit to finish them off in 1999 Mode. If I hadn't found all the Infusions up to this point, they would one shot kill me.

  8. Don't know how many of you read the Naruto manga... but we just hit a BIG turning point in the series. I won't put a spoiler yet, but after all these years, we have our answer for the outcome of a certain central friendship.
  9. Someone on the Adventure Time subreddit made a wallpaper of the early family shot. You might notice how the person took out Rosalinen's lip lines. Personally, I think that was a good choice as those lines bugged me about her character design. I also liked his deathbed view of his extended family.
  10. It was CMO Also, weird episode, weird implications, and... oh, I'm dead.
  11. I don't believe we have a Pokemon thread, but browsing YouTube last night and there was this Pokemon reveal:

  12. Brother-in-law's birthday is this week, and while we're both huge The Last Airbender fans, I'm not sure how he would like The Promise trilogy. Instead, I bought him BioShock Infinite. I could literally be one of Ken Levine's concubines by now.

Yeah I love Avatar as much as the next guy, but the first three comics were rather week and mushy.

  13. Book One: Air, on DVD and Blu-ray, coming this July 16th. I've had quite enough nerdgasms today, yes'um.
  14. I bought a Season Pass for all the DLC that I'm pretty confident I was going to buy, given that any of it has to be single player. Seeing a table with some Gear on it, that I think I'm only using one of, was icing on the cake. 1999 Mode is just a higher difficulty with some restrictions. You can still find Infusions and purchase upgrades if you have the money, though this time if you die it takes 100 Silver Eagles to revive. So, you know, don't blow all of it. I'm going for the Scavenger trophy, meaning no buying supplies, but if you were to not use any gear or upgrades, you're a masochist. With default shield and health, far too many attacks would be one hit deaths. EDIT: So there's no "better" equipment other than getting a jump start with the Infusions. Even so, how you use Infusions is up to you and your style. Do you max out Shield before Health and Salts, or balance them out?
  15. Honestly, I bought my first Season Pass here before starting out on 1999 Mode. You'll get a ton of Gear and five Infusions to start out when you enter the diner. The pistol and machine gun will also get an upgrade, but I think the "advantage" I had went away after getting halfway in the game on 1999 Mode. In fact, if I didn't already have a fully upgraded Shield, I think some enemies would almost kill me in one hit. They're FAR too accurate with the Repeater, and the Hail Fire does a lot of damage if it hits. Like, no shield and some health lost.
  16. Printable Alternate Covers So one that wasn't up for votes looks really good: Falling Sky. I remember seeing it before as (I think) fan art, and honestly it's the only one that effectively has anything to the back of the cover.
  17. I really hate Handymen on 1999 Mode. They'll have a sliver of health, you think maybe a few more bullets, BUT NO! It's more like a few more clips AND THEN they're dead.

  18. Alright, Possession For Less came back right before the "big factory brawl." Right now I'm doing my best to get the remaining trophies, but the one I think I may need to do on a potential third "Easy" run is the killing a Handyman by only shooting its heart. I tried with the first Handyman you fight, but even with my sniper rifle maxed out (at that point), it was taking a good while on 1999 Mode. You can't use Vigors like Shock Jockey because they'll count as damaging the entire Handyman. It's pure gun accuracy and endurance.
  19. Okay, I have to ask, in 1999 Mode, if you don't get Possession For Less at The Hall of Heroes before progressing, is it not available anywhere else? In my first play on Hard, I had enough money before the conflict using the Skylines, and etc. I was 200 short this time on 1999, but figured I could get it up ahead once I looked through some things. All I see now is Bronco Aid along with the usual Devil's Kiss and Murder of Crows Trap Aid. Possession For Less is kinda a BIG deal.
  20. I find myself enjoying Infinite more when I'm not worrying about finding collectibles. I still have to keep an eye out for about eight of them, but otherwise it's just straightforward playing.

  21. I looked up the same video on YouTube (5 mintues ago) and some people are coming up with lyrics that would be foreshadowing the events of the game. Thing is, it's still hard to hear the exact words that people have derived from the game. You know, it could simply be gibberish that was intended to be slowed down for ambient background music. After all, remember how ambient that Bieber song was at 800% slow down? EDIT: Oh, and for you W&S.
  22. The computer animated Donkey Kong Country TV series from the late 90's. I guess it was super successful in Japan and France, but not so much in the States. I liked it for a bit, and the Crystal Coconut did become a part of Donkey Kong 64, but otherwise... BANANA SLAM-MA!
