Has a demo convinced you to buy a game?
Faiblesse Des Sens replied to Mister Jack's topic in General Gaming Chat
I'm the type to get more interested because of a demo. I generally know about games so it's a matter of seeing what they're really like. Most of the times demos are hollow shells of the real game where they stick you in some shitty tutorial level and don't let you change difficulty so I don't think I've ever been downright swayed by a demo. -
I disagree that they managed to capture the art style. Whereas, you can just load up WW in an emulator, and get the same art style from the GC version but it looks great. Here's some Dolphin shots:

Do a Dolphin 1080p vs. Wii U comparison and you'll see what I mean. Using the GC is a cheap way to compare. Of course it will look like shit, it was the Gamecube. The lighting and bloom are all wrong on the Wii U version.

It wasn't free for PS3 owners. It was only free on Vita. I bought The Unfinished Swan as well. Someone answer my LBP: K question!
-
Wind Waker in "HD" ruins the art style. If you want to see it in HD just emulate it at 1080p in Dolphin. At least they announced a new "X" rpg.
-
Does LBP: K have 4 player local racing? The demo only had 4 person battle, which is lame as fuck, and I can't find any solid info online.
-
Oh, I see. Perhaps they only care about the convos initially then just let them run?

The Loneliest Planet Basically: Indie film that follows this couple as they hike through Georgia (the country) and one little event tears them apart. So there isn't much dialogue, especially after the event, but it's well acted enough that you get what's going on. So it was enjoyable to some degree, but was a bit too predictable.

I don't think emailing the editors is the right thing to do in that case. Kotaku has moderators/interns for that.

Now that actually is pretty bizarre... agave nectar I can see in terms of something similar, but not straight up maple syrup.
-
Have you played it at all? A long, long time ago when I played it, it seemed to be very well done. However, that doesn't they had gotten very far with the content, but the gameplay was solid. So they're likely taking this time to not only get feedback on mechanics and whatnot but also to finish up on content.

I've seen coffee with honey flavor notes so it's not too ridiculous.
-
Vita with 4 shoulder buttons? I'm in.
-
They're making the next one 3D so people won't care that it's the same game again.
-
I'm going to rent it off of a torrent site.
-
Enjoy playing it at 540p.
-
Why would they make a third person shooter instead of a RPG? They're not EA.
-
I see where you're coming from. I was thinkng Dishonored due it it being in the same genre and having the HL2 artist.
-
Kind of funny that you pick that as an example instead of Dishonored...

My wireless keyboard lasts at least a year on a 2 AAs.

This is what we already do. We don't have our own dishes so inevitably I'm keeping up on my dishes and he's not which means I'm running out of dishes. And it's especially a hassle when it comes to pots and pans and shit there isn't a lot of. What makes the problem is that he isn't the one cooking, it's his girlfriend, and she rarely ever thinks to clean her dishes because she doesn't live here though she's here an awful lot. Which isn't a problem unless she cooks, which is what she's been doing more of lately. I'm the one who doesn't have the money or even much of an option to eat out much, either. He's the one who can do that, and used to do that, before his GF started cooking more often. So it wasn't a big issue until now. @Dean that last part isn't a bad idea. And I always put anything dirty enough back in his pile. I don't think he notices .

Doesn't Catherine have 9 different endings?

Does anyone have any tips to help my roommate wash dishes instead of just running some water over them and scrubbing stuff off with a sponge? It's a huge waste of water and soap to do it the way he does and things don't get clean (and probably not santiized) half the time. I've tried pointing out the proper way to do it but he was rather defensive about it for some reason. We've lived together for over a year so we don't complain about much stuff to each other.

Setting the theme well and it's looking good. Basically what I'm expecting without knowing much about Cyberpunk 2020 but understanding that it's pretty influential.

As a former HP user I can confirm they're terrible. They're probably the worst as far as pre-installed software goes. If you own a HP printer you should know this pain.
