  1. The processed blocks are indeed a lootable item Dean. I got the impression Apocashitstorm logs were just some rando grunt. Not watched them all yet though. I guess what I'm saying is that up to that mission the story of what happened is more suggested and drip fed, then in that mission you suddenly get this massive info dump. That said, they do lampshade it somewhat by Sylens saying that you found out more in a few minutes than he has in a long time of searching, and as Goh points out, it does make sense where the things are found.
  2. That's where I am too. Quite liking the way the story unfolds generally, but the last two missions with Sylens have been a bit of an exposition fest.
  3. Indeed, came across my first Behemoth yesterday. Was being escorted by a longleg. I overrode the longleg before taking on the behmoth, annoyingly the longleg stole the kill. Next time I'll take em both out. Noticed a fun thing with shell walkers the other day as well, if you shoot the bracket holding the container so it falls off, once the shell walker is done looking for you it will pick the container back up and hold it on its head using its lightning gun arm. This serves 2 purposes. 1 it is funny watching him walk off like he is holding a hat on his head and 2. it makes it way easier to attack them.
  4. I thought a behemoth was something else... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lE6WRQdm9BY
  5. To be fair, you go around a real galaxy and it's going to be mostly iron and carbon that you are digging up. Also, it would truly suck balls to have to warp back to an old system just to get some of a particular element that you now need that you didn't before.
  6. Can you tie it down? Would that help? What worked for you? I find rockbreakers manageable once limbless, but while they can tunnel they are absolute bastards. I've only just got the ropecaster, so learning the... ropes on that tool. Seems very effective though.
  7. Talk about damned if you do, damned if you don't. I think it's great that the game is getting so much post launch support. I kinda want to pick it up again and drive a Mako. Ooooh, there's a hover craft thing? And a sand crawler?!
  8. I was wondering the same thing re: adamantium.
  9. Standard rockbreakers are fairly annoying. I can't begin to imagine how awful corrupted ones are.
  10. I think the combination of sound stealth and visual stealth make it feel huntery. Sneaking up on a boar is a combo of using cover and not stomping around. Feels more nuanced than just avoiding a cone of vision. No idea if Far Cry does the same. Might spend some time gathering materials for crafting this lunch time actually. My GF doesn't like me shooting the animals... :/
  11. I thought that was a feature too! Edit: I will never get over the fact that these toys are gone even though they would be the perfect partner to HZD.
  12. It's the fact that there always seem to be ~3 of them that is my issue here.
  13. I'm finding crocodiles most troublesome, largely because there always seems to be several of them at once.
  14. I disagree, I've yet to come across a single aspect that in any way diminishes my experience. My only slight gripe is that going from Nora to Carja is one hell of jump in difficulty so I've burnt through my resources... Stormbirds and Thunderjaws and Tramplers oh my. But that's my fault for running headlong into fights rather than prepping appropriately.
  15. If anyone else has a PSVR, I recommend Psychonauts: Rhombus of Ruin by the way. I'm finding that Adventure games / Escape the Room games work *really* well in VR. Something about being able to look into the room and manipulate stuff... It makes a huge difference.
  16. I like that the inventory screen tells you which items are for what, so anything labelled "Selling for Metal Scraps" and "Trading With Merchants" is a keeper, while anything that is just "Selling for Metal Scraps" you 100% know you won't need again. I also like that you can make a specific crafting task an "Errand" so if you really want that extra ammo capacity you can create a mini-quest of your own for it. This game is just pure excellence in every aspect. I love the world building, the artefacts from the old world, the design of the enemies, it's all great. There's something about combat with a bow and arrow that *feels* skillful, I don't know why, but it's so much more satisfying than a gun.
  17. What's eeeeeven better is that storage is so cheap but Nintendo just *have* to make a profit on hardware rather than loss lead.
  18. Have acquired Nioh and Gravity Rush 2 and purchased Psychonauts: The Rhombus of Ruin... Now to find time to play some of them...
  19. I Expect You To Die. Fantastic puzzle game that really shows off some great VR tricks. Highly recommended.
  20. I Expect you To Die has surpassed Arkham VR as my favourite PSVR game (for now).

Please tell me that's a Bond game where you're strapped to a table and must escape before the laser cuts you in half?!

FLD, yeah, essentially a "70's Spy" style escape the room game. Chairs and lasers are featured heavily.

  21. Dude needs to dial back the enthusiasm some.
  22. I dunno... Ethan, what *is* the rush?
  23. Ken Clarke is a fucking badass who doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks about him. Not a fan of the Tories, but he voted with his conscience, based on the facts at hand and I respect that.
  24. Heh, yeah, the communication worked well and... not so well. Especially since you'd usually all just have guest usernames that were the same gamertag with (1), (2) after it. It was a heck of a lot of fun for Rocket Race though. Also, the social slayer playlists were so casual that it was just a blast in any case. You'd often see groups of people with the Gamertag(1), ...(2) etc. guest players. Ummm, how is communication an issue with local MP? Presumably you know the names of the people you are sitting next to so don't have to refer to Steve as Gamer Tag 1. Dean has it. It's because everyone on-screen looks exactly the same, so you might not know which one Steve is. Of course you know what everyone's called. Oh right, I get it. Fair point. Well, if there's only four of you it won't take too long to remember who is top left etc.
  25. This is what happens when you have a cabinet of exclusively old white dudes. They all look the same, think the same, act the same. Might as well not even bother with them and just become a dictator proper.
