  1. Same thing. That tall building they always use in movies.
  2. @Dean: It won't be UKIP. No way. UKIP are a one policy party. "Get out of Europe". Neither Tories, nor Labour really want that. Plus there is the fact that UKIP are racist leaning and generally a bit of a Clarkson outfit. To be honest, I don't think we should even be having a referendum on EU membership. Very few of the voting population will be aware of the actual implications and it will descend into a load of "Brussels telling us what shape our bananas should be." bollocks and a load of complaining about how terrible free movement is. This will inevitably lead to an exit from Europe with everyone thinking how great that is until they realise that as a country that is a net importer with limited natural resources we are suddenly paying a lot more for all that stuff, and the businesses that do export are seeing profits fall as they pay foreign taxes, we'll also be queuing longer in airports, which isn't fun. Basically, the UK's place of prominence in the world is due to its role as a hub. We're a place that has pretty good relationships with most countries, even the ones we borrowed. We are part of Europe, but speak the same language as America, we have our history with Hong Kong as a foot in the door to the Far East, we're basically the Babylon 5 of the world and leaving Europe is only going to damage that status.
  3. @Ethan, thoughts on this being available to non-USA folk? (Unlikely, but they haven't specifically excluded us). https://vitaclaims.com/Portals/0/Documents/4488_Sony%20FTC_CFW_v5_editable.pdf
  4. Philip has some great stories but awful awful awful titles. "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale". Awful. "Counter-Clock World". Awful. "Dr. Futurity" Awwwwful. Although, "The Man Whose Teeth Were All Exactly Alike" is somewhat amusing.
  5. I'm only a mere level 13 (I think) Professional. Presumably this has little to no effect on endgame, e.g. your end stats can be the same regardless of where you start out.
  6. I've heard you can kite them to a room where they can't follow you... Might exploit the bastards.
  7. Oh, and another thing... Who's bright idea was it to lock up character levelling until you have met a boss?!? What the fuck is insight? Is it consumable? Or is it a level thing? The game doesn't just need a tutorial. It needs a glossary, and a map. Oh well. Now that I'm able to level a bit I'm going to farm some and then we'll see who's a murderous sunnavabitch.
  8. Had a crack at the first boss. Was thoroughly unprepared, got him down to about 2/3 health but I only had a couple of blood vials, no molotovs. As much as I love From's games, I do wish they would do a little more in the way of tutorials. It was only after losing to the boss that I discovered that you can assign items to the quick select menu. Up to then I had been doing the following insanity: 1. Target monster with R3. 2. Press touchpad to bring up item menu. 3. Highlight Molotov. 4. Press x to throw Molotov. By which time I've spent about 10 seconds with a menu floating over half of my screen and the monster in question has moved out of range. Rather than having Molotovs ready on quick select and hitting square.
  9. This game. This beautiful, magnificent bastard of a game. I will never beat it. I already know that. It's a double hard bastard. But I love it just the same.
  10. Finishing Danganronpa 2. Just got Island Mode to complete then she is le plat! Also, acquired Bloodborne today. So, gonna die, quite a bit.
  11. The only counterpoint I have for TFG is that shops want you to take their bag with their goods because it turns you into a walking billboard for the store that sold you stuff. That said, I agree with the system, except that I would prefer that all profit from the bag purchase went straight to the treasury.
  12. I'm sure if that happened to anyone on this forum, everything would turn out fine.
  13. Play Google Maps PacMan in the UK for European Extreme difficulty. Play in Times Square for baby novice difficulty.
  14. Not that long really. School mode starts out tedious because your collecting level is so low, but it carries over for NG+ and you can soon get to a point where you've collected and constructed the class project as soon as it is given to you, especially if you invest in the "Tools" early as well to boost collection and reduce energy loss. Then it's just a matter of using free time to 1) Get everyone's back story and 2) Take everyone on trips till their affection is maxed so you can see their school mode ending. Takes a couple of hours or so in front of the TV if you are being maximum efficiency. You also get 200 or so coins per completed run through, so it can help you finish collecting items from the monomonomachine.
  15. Platinum'ed Danganronpa Trigger Happy Havoc. Great game. Highly recommended for Vita owners (especially if you are after a bit of Phoenix Wright on your handheld). Going to go back and Platinum the sequel now I think.
  16. It's about as legible as an under 20's social media posts.
  17. I think sales figures for Vita games are pretty hard to track as most of the bigger releases are cross buy with PS3 and/or PS4. It still gets regular decent titles coming out for it. Like Danganronpa, Persona, and most indie titles (Rogue Legacy by way of a recent example.
  18. It's not dead. Don't be doing that flame bait crap.
  19. Historically this was a requirement by console makers. On PC I'm pretty sure it's the fault of whatever licensed tech they're using requiring x seconds on-screen. Close, the Sony/MS splash is/was a platform holder requirement. They actually don't allow you to include other splashes unless they are a legal (age rating) or contractual (see below) requirement. All the others, Havok, Speedtree et al are down to individual licenses. Quite often you could get a healthy discount on the license for agreeing to show the logo (or depending on your point of view - you have to pay a premium to not include the splash screen). More recently, game publishers have been more keen to get people in the game asap so they are doing things like adding multiple logos to one screen or making them skippable.
  20. On a similar note: https://twitter.com/Chronixal/status/578960486005354496
  21. Sorry, I wasn't clear, I meant the whole MS business experience, OS, Office, Servers, everything MS will be subscription based (if it isn't already).
  22. I'm almost sure we've already have this one, but searching is for losers. A Muslim, a black man and a communist walk into a bar, the barman says "What will it be Mr President?" The only sense I can make of it is like Two on the rocks = no drink specified, so just ice Bartender's enquiry sounds like he's asking if they're "too hot" But then the punchline should be "Yeah" This makes it sound like they've been complimented as hot but THAT ALSO MAKES NO SENSE. WHY DID YOU SHARE THIS WHO EVEN SAID THIS AAAAAAAGGGH Same here, my mind was on the "too hot?" compliment line. Maybe I need to hear the delivery to get it. Even then, I think it's just going to make me feel sad inside.
  23. 1. Enterprise software (office et al) is likely going to be a subscription deal (like Adobe is now). 2. Most OS sales are to OEMs and not end users. 3. Most sales of Office licenses are to businesses and not end users. Given the above, it makes sense for MS to give software away to people who might want it (end users) and sell it to people who need it (businesses). Plus, giving 10 away for free guarantees they'll get back most of their market share.
  24. Yeah, technically, they could have given me notice I suppose, and not given me any work during my notice. But, as I said, they needed me more than I needed them, and being a law student, I'd have taken them to tribunal just to cost them money. It's certainly not a tactic I would suggest anyone ever use unless you are genuinely ok with losing the job.
