  1. I like the concept, and to answer deans issue, there's no reason you couldn't have different sized bases & screens. But I agree that this is not practical. Not least because companies make way too much money selling things like processors, screens and so forth to each other. Also Samsung and Apple and co's business model is built on the inevitable obsolescence of their products.
  2. Then we clearly have different priorities. I'm happy with more easier steps. You prefer fewer more cumbersome steps. Luckily there are devices for each of us within the Android ecosystem.
  3. It's a bit like the Tony Stark / Iron Man thing. We all "know" but Gabe is his Iron Man suit.
  4. You need to read it again. "WHEN I AUTHORIZE A DEVICE TO LEND MY LIBRARY TO OTHERS, DO I LIMIT MY OWN ABILITY TO ACCESS AND PLAY MY GAMES? As the lender, you may always access and play your games at any time. If you decide to start playing when a friend is already playing one of your games, he/she will be given a few minutes to either purchase the game or quit playing."
  5. "Other highlights include a BBC Two lecture by Professor Brian Cox on the science behind the hit show" I'm sorry what? There is science behind the show? I think not! Still, any excuse to give Brian Cox airtime is good with me.
  6. I find people who complain about every single thing PA does to be toxic. They're human. They make mistakes. They're open and honest about them. I'm not sure if you're implying this, but I don't complain about every single thing they do. I don't think they are in the least bit "open and honest" about their mistakes. I think they immediately circle the wagons at the merest hint of criticism, label anyone who complains as a cry-baby, and set their pack of snarling internet dogs on them. @Atomsk8: Yes they've been paid but if I pre-order something that has a Penny Arcade bonus attached to it, I am supporting that practice. It's like not buying fur. It's not going to put the skin back on the animal and revive it, but it might stop the practice over time. Like I said, I'm not starting a crusade. I don't care if the content gets pulled or not and I will go out on day one and buy a copy of Second Son. I'm just not happy with impliedly supporting Penny Arcade by pre-ordering.
  7. Well yes, but if I can not pull out my phone, so much the better. That convenience has a value to me. Not sure that it is as high a value as Samsung put on it.
  8. Yeah. It's not exactly the content of the cartoons that I find toxic. It's their response to any criticism. Rather than saying "Oh yes, I can see how that would be offensive." they immediately go on the attack. They are basically bullies, who use their internet fame to brow beat anyone who disagrees with them. The reason things like dickwolves or that "CIS" thing blow out of proportion is because Gabe is a monumental prick. I'm not asking for anyone else to follow in my footsteps, or starting a crusade or anything. Just saying that I'm slightly annoyed that I feel morally obliged to cancel a preorder for a game I definitely want.
  9. That's one reason. The transgender stuff as well. I just find PA (well, Gabe really) a bit toxic and don't want to be associated with or support them in any way.
  10. Ahhh, in that case. I look forward to searching for collectible things in AssFlag using my Vita while watching the tellybox.
  11. Are we seriously doing the whole PC vs Console thing again? I had to cancel my Infamous Second Son preorder due to Penny Arcade related bonus content. However, I did manage to get on the Uber PS4 AssFlag when Game had it mis-priced for £50. Buwahahaha!
  12. Checking emails, not reading them. If I see something from say Amazon, that is not a dispatch notification I can happily delete it and not waste time taking out my phone to see that it is a pointless marketing email. The watch enables me to know when I need my hugemungous phone and when I can safely dismiss such notifications. Is it really big deal for the marketing email though? If you use Kaiten mail instead of Gmail you can mark as read right from the notification bar. On the Moto X you can see that notification and deal with it really fast, too. Though I also use Unroll.me to deal with shit like that so I have my email on lock pretty well. What I mean is, I can check the watch, see the subject / from and decide whether I want to take time out to read and respond to the message, or just delete it. If it's deletable, the phone never leaves my pocket, if it's important then I get the phone out. It might be a notification from Amazon saying "Your package has shipped" I'd dismiss but not delete that message. It might be from my friend asking me to take a look at his CV in which case I'll need the phone, it might be from my Dad forwarding on some stupid joke that I can just delete. It adds another layer of filtering beyond the notification tone / vibration.
  13. It'd also be really weird to smell tasty...
  14. Fourth degree Extends through entire skin, and into underlying fat, muscle and bone[10] Black; charred with eschar Dry Painless 4th degree is where it's at! Painless.
  15. Also Gravity Rush is not supported at launch... Ouch...
  16. That's what I thought. I checked on Wikipedia and apparently they are. Of course now that they are a thing RebootCop 2 will have to feature 5th degree burns over 110% of his body.
  17. PS4 is in the living room. The boys come home and want to play it but... Dang it all to hell, the parents are watching some sci-fi action flick. Oh well. Knock the PlayStation 4 on, grab a couple of controllers and remote play the PS4 on your bedroom telly via PS Vita TV.
  18. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MoTr_-FE0U I guess this belongs here?

  20. Checking emails, not reading them. 21. Only use case I can think of is as FDS says in something like Demon's Souls where I wait in a safe area for health / magic to regenerate.
  22. Tried a different browser? In case it's a stored password / oddly named cookie thing.
  23. Yeah, not keen on him having a face. Makes him too human. In fact the whole Alex Murphy death/torture scene is hugely dehumanising. It's what, like 10 minutes long? He has his arm removed is literally shot to pieces. It's also a bit stupid/convenient that 80% of his body has 4th degree burns, but his face and right hand apparently have 0th degree burns.
