  1. Knife goes in! Tags come out!
  2. That might not be what he meant. The guy could be a total idiot. But it's the only way I can read it and it make any sort of sense.
  3. Yeah, filling in the blanks, "The days of DIY IT, people building their own desktop PC, are gone due to falling costs of [pre-built] hardware."
  4. You can't just rely on the Batman brand. It's way too broad."Batman Arkham" clearly means the recent WB franchise.
  5. That Sunshine soundtrack. Adagio in D Minor. Sooooooo good. I will buy pretty much anything that is advertised with that.
  6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-24726071 Update on the phone blocks thing. Google/Motorolla involved. A vanity project for sure. Personally, I'd be happy with replaceable screens and batteries.
  7. I have a decent (sensible) spec rig. I'll let you know soon.
  8. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-battlefield-4-next-gen-vs-pc-face-off-preview Right on cue.
  9. Digital Foundry are going to have a fucking field day. It'll be like the good old Bioshock side-by-side days all over again. Until people get bored of comparing pixels and jaggies like they did with PS3 / Xbox 360.
  10. Yep. It's going to be a trend.
  11. Ugh. AC's "walk" pace is sooooooo slow as well. As in the super-low-profile walk. Why does it even exist? It's not like it actually helps you hide.
  12. Marketing made Mirror's Edge look like an FPS and Brutal Legend like a hack and slash action game. I wouldn't trust their interpretation of anything.
  13. Although for Mass Effect 2 (and of course by extension 3) that had an impact since:
  14. Correct thread. Just a little off topic. Presumably referencing the MS tweet about Minecraft being exclusive to Xbone. Then clarifying that Minecraft: Xbox One Edition is exclusive to Xbone.
  15. Yeah, that was the uber short version and is not overly nuanced. Point being that it was not the usual "Vekta was a peaceful planet, then space-nazis!" plot that we get. The politics is what has won me over to the series actually.
  16. I'm terrible at saving money. Unless it is put beyond my reach (i.e. in my pension) I just spend it, so paying stuff off along the way is actually quite handy. I got a £45 Amazon voucher for completing a survey for Thompson Compumark (we use their TM search stuff) didn't think they'd actually pay up, but hey, not bad for 15 minutes of multiple choice checkboxes. So I redeemed it against my Amazon purchase of the Killzone / camera / controller bundle. (Which, incidentally Amazon have not charged me any more for). Boo, they just updated the price.
  17. I've actually never thought of the Helghast as "baddies" they were always just the other team. One of the things I like about Killzone is that it's one of the more balanced stories out there. Mercenary really drives this point home. Both sides come off as bad as each other in that. The Helghast lived on Vekta and mined Helghan for minerals. The UCN saw the increasing wealth of the Helghast as a threat to stability and invaded Vekta, forcing the the Helghast to live on the inhospitable mining colony. The Helghast sought to retake Vekta which kicks off with the attack on Vekta at the start of KZ1. Really, in KZ1 you play the role of a soldier serving under the oppressive colonists, while the Helghan are a displaced people trying to reclaim their homeland.
  18. Will smith's character in that is pretty disposable. Anyone could have played taxi driver for Jeff.
  19. I'm white. I find Will Smith's ability to play himself in every single movie he's ever appeared in to be deeply unimpressive. My apathy for him is matched only by my bewilderment at his level of success.
  20. Possibly the sound PS4 makes when being turned on? Seems shorter than the Xbox sound. Edit: Yeah, at the end they do the startup sounds for PS1,2,3 along with the symbols, and then when 4 appears the same sound plays.
  21. "Put a microtransaction, virtual currency model in!" they said. It'll be fun!" They said. Clearly in a very glass house, throwing very big stones. But... Balancing the currency so that they can sell it seems to have sucked a lot of fun out of the game based on the above comments.
