  1. Do I have to use a special program to make this work? I didn't. It came up as a standard controller on the PC. It even worked in Linux! I should also add that if you use it as a PS3 controller, the rumble is significantly stronger (and IMO better) than that of the DS3. The downside of course is that it's a wired controller.
  2. Indeed. You can play our copies of Catherine and I can get a disc version of Arcana Heart. I still say the 360 cover is better but if I do get it, I'll probably get the PS3 version.
  3. I use the Nyko Core Controller. It's a great corded PS3 controller and it works like a charm on the PC. The triggers are actually usable too. www.amzn.com/B003G2Z4FK
  4. Gotta love it when work pays you for sitting in a car for over 2 hours. :D

So, uh.. you a cop, man? Cause, you know, legally, you have to tell me if you're a cop!

Haha, no I had to fix a PC at our remote office and they gave me a company car and I got to drive over an hour each way to replace a PC.

  5. On my DS I'm playing Puyo Pop and on my PS3 I'm playing Neptunia. Neptunia is fun, although not without its faults. On my Wii I'm also still working on Super Paper Mario.
  6. Between last night and this morning I watched two great films. The first was City Girl. This was F. W. Murnau's last silent film and last film he made in the US. The Blu-Ray was AMAZING! This is why I upgraded from DVD. Then today while I waited for my migraine meds to kick in I watched a Buster Keaton classic: Steamboat Bill Jr. This film was actually the inspiration for the legendary Mickey Mouse cartoon, Steamboat Willie.
  7. Wow, it looks like they are keeping the two covers. Ugh, decisions decisions.
  8. Effing migraine. Going to go in late today but it still sucks to use sick time.

  9. We use PINs for Debit/Checking cards. We also have a three digit code on the back of our cards that we have for online purchases. It's been over three years since I last worked in online retail and IIRC that code on the back gave you a slightly better rate due to less fraud. In many stores you don't need to sign for anything under $25.
  10. I can stand behind any game where the Xbox is called "Thunder Tits."

True that. Neptunia is quite fun. Gameplay is iffy but I'm enjoying it. Odd considering it was my wife's idea to buy it and I didn't want it as much.

  11. A Jab in the US usually refers to a short punch e.g. "Little Mac hits him with a left jab and the uppercut!"
  12. And I picked this up for $4. I can't refuse a silent film for less than the price of a Burger King value meal.
  13. Started Neptunia and already have 10% of the trophies. I'm not sure if that means there's little game content or it just means that they front load the trophies.

It's a fairly large game, just the trophies are easy to get, so you'll end up with a lot of them quickly. The gameplay's good, but slow, and it's a very niche title, but overall a fun play. Have a good time, Bat!

I really am enjoying it. I'm not much into MOE but so far I've been enjoying the game. The battle system is different but I certainly see myself playing this for a while. Also, being an NIS title you may not see it in the bargain bin as they don't print all that many copies.

Thanks guys, I'll wait for a little price drop and grab it when it's getting cheaper.

  14. I went and saw "The King's Speech" with the fiancee today. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at what a good movie it was. Rare that I say that about a new movie ...

    Apple

I'm writing this on a 2006 era Macbook (the white unibody one) I've upgraded the RAM, HDD and replaced the battery. So far it's decent for what I use it for but it's not like I can play any games on it but for watching movies and YouTube etc. or for just general surfing and typing something up. For anything serious, I use my desktop as my primary computer. I especially HATE Apples keyboards. Give me an IBM Model M and I'm happy.
  16. It was an interesting little movie and definitely a time capsule to another time and place. Also, Anita Page was cute as a button when she was young.
  17. That sale was so damn tempting. I was a good boy and didn't give in, although I wanted to get the Lubitsch musical set for my brother as well a Modern Times and maybe Stagecoach for me. I can wait, though.
  18. Beat Bayonetta tonight. Very fun, although the ending was odd.
  19. Two things I never expected to have combined: Pole dancing and Brenda Lee. Thanks SEGA and Platinum Games. :-/ In short, Bayonetta was weird!

  20. Teenagers are almost completely universal in their idiocy and awkwardness.
  21. Well I did when it was on BBC-A. That show is so wrong and yet incredibly funny.
  22. Is it gross that I'm dipping tortilla chips in cottage cheese?

cottage cheese is awesome. I'd normally bypass any other tools in eating it though. (or on toast)
