  1. You know, I always get Jeff Bridges and Jeff Daniels mixed up in my head.

Chickens smell REALLY bad. Though, I wouldn't mind fresh eggs daily.
  4. Though remember they were probably old then and a lot has changed in the almost 20 years since a teacher told me that. I don't think I ever saw my grandmother print. I'll give the woman credit, though. When she died at the ripe old age of 95 her handwriting was still wonderful.
  5. This guy was homeschooled so that might have something to do with it. My dad went to Catholic school where they'd slap his hand with a ruler if his handwriting was bad so you came out with good handwriting or a deformed hand.
  6. I know your gender but I don't know your profession. I'm a male IT worker so I'm supposed to write like a Neanderthal but I buck the trend, I suppose.
  7. So I wondered aloud on my Facebook page the other day that I was hoping to get a new fountain pen for Christmas this year as my Pilot Varsity disposable has been refilled but is rather clunky. Anyway, a few people on there got noticeably upset and fuming that I suggested that it's a shame how grown adults go around with handwriting that looks like it was done by an eight year old. I was never great at writing in cursive until I got to college when I decided that my handwriting was abysmal and that I wanted to change it. I have worked at it for the last few years and I have fairly good penmanship, although it could certainly be much better. I still need more practice but at least I don't write
  8. Which they are also remaking... You're joking ... right?
  9. I wanted to like this but the original is nothing to write home about. Still, a lot of geeky fanboys made some good money for Disney on this. As far as Disney Sci-Fi goes, The Black Hole is a better movie than TRON and that's saying something. ;-)
  10. Can you replace the battery?
  11. He must not be a true gentleman then.
  12. I think the people of Mystery Science Theater are the only people who have seen more bad movies than I have. Paul Chaplin (one of MST3K's writers) said in an interview once that when movies are particularly bad he has a sort of defense mechanism that just blocks them from his brain. Looking at my old DVD Blog that I haven't updated in almost two years, I have seen quite a few movies I forgot that I watched (reading my own thoughts brings the horror back, though.) They Came From Beyond Space Gambling with Souls Child Brides (this was the film MST3K said was too disturbing and worse than Manos so I had to seek it out) The Astounding She-Monster Omoo Omoo The Shark God Protégé de la Rose Noire Here, just look for yourself. http://www.battra92.com/blog/labels/Bad%20Movies.html
  13. Ken Bruns' The Civil War I think is on Netflix Streaming. I have the DVD set to that and have watched it probably two dozen times (and played the soundtrack hundreds of times) so I've more than got my money out of it. :-)
  14. Oh I forgot to add that The Critic is the greatest animated show of all time.
  15. Or John Carradine. IMDB lists him at 340 roles. Also my mom and older sister used to watch this movie a lot when I was younger. He was actually pretty capable in that film, but I didn't care for it.
  16. I haven't watched anime in ages really. I do need to finish up Maison Ikkoku (I can't bring myself to let it end) as well as watch the rest of Touch. I'm an old school fan. This new stuff just makes me cringe. Oh, the last "new" show I watched a "friend" of mine sent me. Turns out it was about a guy (who looked like a girl with a penis) doing his older sister. Japan: Producing most of the world's fucked up shit since 1945.
  17. Meh, I took Lifehacker's advice long ago about having a fake email address for less than secure websites.
  18. Mystery Science Theater 3000 is my favorite television show of all time. OF ALL TIME!
  19. The blonde looks like a girl I worked with in college. She was bitchy, annoying but pretty. I always wanted to bang her but never got the chance. :-/
  20. I bought my Yashica FX-3 for like $10 at a garage sale and it came with an f/2 50mm lens. I ended up getting an f/4 80-200 (I think) and an f2.8 35mm for another $15 I think. It's been my primary camera for years now and gets used much more than even my Nikon N75 that I paid like $275 for. I like my faster Yashica Lenses now. If I could get a new camera and lens, I'd probably buy a Voigtlander Bessa and a good fast 35mm M Mount lens for it. Still, it's how you shoot, not what you shoot with. I've taken great photos with $10 cameras and $400 cameras.
  21. It's good, I'll give you that. I do like the free peanuts so it keeps all the "ZOMG my precious darling will die if he comes near a peanut" asshole moms away. People go there knowing they will get fatter eating there and they don't care. There's something awesome about that.
  22. I used to say Burger King but I lost my taste for them. McDonalds and BK both have excellent fries, though. My current lb adder is Red Robin. Seriously, this place is awesome. Also, I can eat a half a chicken from here: http://www.brooksbbq.com/
  23. I'm not digging Matt Smith and quite frankly, David Tennant was a bit annoying. Not as abso-fucking wretched as Rose. Seriously, I kept hoping she'd get that overbite knocked out by a fist to the face for spitting when she talked. Oh and Jon Pertwee IS the Doctor!
  24. I found the Diabolical Box to be somewhat simpler than Curious Village. Unwound Future got pretty balls to the wall tough at times. I completed all three at 100%, though.

You guys wish high. My fiancee asked what I wanted for Christmas from her and without any hesitation and with 100% full honesty I said ...
