What do you mean by this? I mean, I agree those things shouldn't be banned or anything, but if a consumer doesn't want to support a product that supports politics they find problematic I don't have an issue with that. I may think they're dumb for finding a particular thing problematic, but it's their money and they're entitled to spend it how they want. Similarly they're entitled to criticize a work for its politics. It's then the creator's prerogative to decide what to do based on that feedback, whether that is double down, do nothing, or try to appease them.

Yeah, removing politics from games is impossible. What "removing politics" really means in practical effect is removing controversial politics. But if you're removing all controversial politics then you are necessarily supporting/reinforcing (intentionally or not) the current political/social/economic order, which is itself a political statement.

They do need some kind of cover on the front so the screen isn't exposed when docked (though they need to figure out how to do that without scratching the screen), but the back should be mostly open, just enough of a framework to stabilize it without insulating it. I can, but Amazon makes it super convenient, stuff sells super fast, and I get way better prices than at GameStop (also the nearest Gamestop is 45 miles away so it costs me $6 in gas to drive there and back, knocking $6 off whatever they give me, plus the time it takes). I've got it listed on Glyde right now, and if it doesn't sell there eBay is my next option. Also Gumtree appears to be UK only.

Probably after I finish Persona 5. Although Amazon's stupid restrictions on selling used copies of 1st-party Sony games has significantly reduced how much I'm willing to pay for them, so it may be longer.

Sunless Sea is so tempting, the aesthetic really appeals to me, but it's still hovering just above my impulse purchase price. I'll second the recommendation for FTL.

PBS Idea Channel - I'm not sure how to explain this. Just a show where he explores various philosophical ideas, mostly as relates to popular culture and media. I love it. PBS Space Time - A nerd show for nerds, about space and physics and stuff. It gets a lot more technical than most other physics educational channels. Extra Credits - A show about game design, mostly targeted at new developers/people trying to get into game dev. Super interesting. Tom Scott - A British dude who mostly posts short little videos about random interesting things. CGP Grey - An American dude living in Britland with random educational videos, mostly about political/cultural stuff. I will also second Dean's mention of Kurzgesagt. Excellent channel.

Akiba's Trip. I quite liked it. It's PG-13 anime silliness, which is what I was expecting. The combat isn't the most refined in the world, but there is room to get good at it, and it's enjoyable. I was tempted to dive straight back into NG+, and only didn't because of Persona coming on Tuesday. I actually still might. 4/5

Is that on Wii U or Switch? I ask because I've seen other people mentioning horrible multi-second hitches, but I've never seen that happen. The worst I've seen is just general low framerate in certain situations/every town. I'm playing on Wii U.

Nintendo has released a patch that, on Switch at least, fixes most of the framerate issues: (video has some light environmental spoilers) The patch is also on Wii U, although it appears the improvement is far less dramatic.

Or you can click that "Content from last 48hrs" thing. I can actually create custom feeds to put under that "Activity" thing (which the 48hrs is one of them I've made, though might just be me on the whole "view last 24hr posts" thing on the old version).
But yeah, I'm open to suggestions on feeds.

I used the unread content button constantly, so if you could easily put one up by the 48 hours thing so I don't have to click into another menu that would be great. If it's complicated to do though then it's okay, clicking that other menu isn't that much extra work.
Aside: I love that we can put text formatting in here now.

Fishing about it seems you can create a custom feed and set that as your default, which I imagine will replace that "48hrs" thing at the top. If you want to try that?

I like that there are actual timestamps on the status posts now, instead of just dates, but it's inconvenient that it takes you to a whole separate page to expand the replies.

I've added a "Status Updates" in the menu which is a custom stream that'll let you see Status Updates kinda as they used to be, without having to go to the posters profile each time. (I'm posting this response from that very page).
