The two-party system is not a custom, it's a direct result of the way our elections are set up. A first-past-the-post voting system will always lead to only two viable parties over time. There can be short periods of three or more parties, but two parties is the only long-term stable configuration of a fptp voting system.

I agree with you about the protest votes, I was taking about getting disengaged to the point of not voting at all. Trump and Clinton both got fewer votes than Romney did in 2012, and he was the loser.

Apparently some users are having performance issues on the PC version, even with cards that should be more than capable of maxing out the game, and that reducing graphics settings and even resolution doesn't fix the issue. However, there have also been reports that turning TXAA off and using FXAA instead fixes the problems. Just turning down TXAA doesn't fix it, you have to actually disable it. Seems like there's a problem with the way TXAA is implemented so it's a much bigger performance hog than it should be.

On the bright side there's talk Trump might nominate Governor Brownback as Agriculture Secretary. He's a terrible governor for a lot of reasons, but has actually been really good about trying to establish Kansas as a center for agricultural biotech and has also been big on water conservation, so I'd have no problem with him being Ag Secretary and it would get him away from here to stop him fucking the place up any more.

Voting for a 3rd party is slightly better than not voting. Not voting says you didn't care enough to get out and vote, so you're irrelevant. Voting for a 3rd party says you cared enough but that the two major parties are leaving you out, so you're a potential person to be won over.
