It wasn't a bundle, I selected all the parts myself. CPU $300: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117559 Mobo $90 (will be $75 after a mail-in rebate): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130892 RAM $90: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231964 Fan $30 (will be $25 after a mail-in rebate): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099 The CPU and Mobo are both $30 off in a sale Newegg's having this weekend, so after Sunday they'll go back up to $330 and $120 respectively.

But they're not actually travelling through spacetime in the relativistic sense because something something mass effect fields, so there's no time travel issues. There is FTL communication, but only along special corridors of "low-mass space" set up by a network of communications buoys, and such a network doesn't exist to Andromeda. Come on, doesn't anyone else read the codex entries?

I hear you can only fish at specific locations now, instead of anywhere there's water. That seems dumb.

Right.

Because once Pathfinder leaves the galaxy at faster than the speed of light they have no way of getting any news from the Milky Way until the signals crawl across the gap, which will take ~2.5 million years. So even though things are happening in the Milky Way they won't have any effect on Pathfinder for quite a while.

As long as it fits. (Fingers crossed)

You don't need to catch up on Pokemon, just play the newest one.

I've always found the Mass Effect timeline to be implausibly fast, simply from an industrial standpoint, for the time period between finding the ruins on Mars and the First Contact War. I mean, humans are supposed to have gone from having one little shitty Martian colony to having a fleet capable of engaging in meaningful combat with the Turians (even if we were losing) over the course of 9 years? I find that highly implausible. I think there should have been maybe a 30-50 year period of colonization after the opening of the Charon Relay before the First Contact War, that would have been much more believable. It would explain how the Alliance would have had enough time to develop the industrial capacity to even remotely compare to the other Citadel Races.

Intel Core i7 6700k. I ended up going with the 6700k instead of the 5920k or 6800k because even though its multi-core performance is a little worse its single-core performance is actually better than those chips, and single-core performance is more important than games anyway. Plus it went on sale for $90 cheaper than the 5820k and $140 cheaper than the 6800k. 16 GB of G.Skill DDR4 2400 MSI Z170-A Pro mobo Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler (I know, I saved the most exciting one for last) Plus the CPU comes with Rainbow 6 Siege and Vermintide, so that's neat. All told $509.96, minus the $150 cash back I'm going to get from my card company (thanks Citi!), for a net total of a mere $359.96.

Huh, well that's what I've been told, that they have terrible mosquitos. Maybe it was one of those things where people were referring to the surrounding areas as DC when they're not technically DC.

Washington DC is built on land that was formerly a swamp but was drained so they could build the city. "Drain the swamp" is a metaphor that's been used by the Trump campaign for clearing out the establishment/corruption in DC, referencing the actual swamp that used to be there. Side note: due to that swamp DC has a horrible mosquito problem.

Sources are saying the Switch is going to get a version of Pokemon Sun and Moon (currently codenamed Stars). Now I'm back to wanting a Switch. Though it's not supposed to be coming out until next Fall, and Zelda has also been delayed out of the launch window.

"Reduced border incursion warnings if the troops are within their own border" Oh thank god. I had one game where I had units garrisoned in two cities near the border with Egypt, and even though they were at least 3 spaces back from the actual border and in my own city Cleopatra kept fucking warning me about massing troops on her border. It was irritating as hell.

It's just super complicated.

I recommend Civ VI, it's definitely the best base Civ in a long time, but BNW is a great expansion and you won't regret it if you get it.
-
Did you get it on Steam? Cause if so just refund it.

New trailer: What the hell did they do to Igor's voice?! Also, there's a livestream of the beginning of the game in English today at noon Pacific (8 PM GMT) on Atlus USA's Twitch channel. About differences, it appears the only differences are that PS3 is 720p30 and PS4 is 1080p60, and PS4 might have faster load times.

They're not patching out all the full frontal, male or female, just the "particularly explicit" one from the upskirt shot.

Somehow I missed this post originally. Spock being an ambassador was already established in the TNG TV run.

That's funny, I associate the more ridiculous "loud/funny noises" type comedy primarily with the UK. I also don't like it.

Apparently the first article I saw (on PC Gamer) was wrong, that was just an early concept. The final version looks like this: Still boring, and less alien than the Collectors, but at least they look more distinct now.
