Typically bad RAM/RAM slot would cause a bluescreen though, not an instant restart.

Yeah, my first thought was PSU, although it could be a loose connection on basically anything connected to the mobo. It's just shutting off right, no bluescreen or anything? That to me suggests it's something with the PSU or a power cable, not a data cable. I hope it's not the PSU, a dying PSU can take the whole machine with it. Sometimes when my cat jumps on my PC it restarts, which I've concluded has to be due to static discharge, so GOH's right that it could be almost anything.

IIRC random mobs can drop engrams that can turn into any level gear, but the built-in drops from the bosses are fixed at year-one.

imo the problem with prequels isn't that you know where you're going to end up, it's that because you have to end up at a certain place you can't let that place be determined by what makes sense for the characters you've created. Historical fiction doesn't have that problem because it's based on real people who were really acting without foreknowledge, so even though we now know where it's going to end up it's not like the writers forced themselves into that position.

That was actually my first thought, just beseige them so they can't resupply, but the problem with that approach is that they're in a wildlife refuge and once they run out of food I imagine these are the kind of people who would then start hunting the protected wildlife.

I've never been clear on where you draw the line between a civil war and a rebellion. I guess it becomes a civil war when both sides are holding and actually governing territory?

This is exactly why I was pissed when they backed down and let this dude's dad off the hook last year. I mean, how could they possibly have foreseen that giving into the demands of crazy militias when they initiate an armed standoff would lead to more armed standoffs? Just... Jesus Fucking Christ... If there's any situation that calls for this kind of response this is it.
