  1. And then you all look like characters from LA Noire...
  2. Apparently when I'm evil my neon power glows red. Awesome. #SecondSon

I've never messed with the twitter integration like that. whoa.

  3. The basics are the same, as far as you have a shooty attack and a range attack and a heavy attack etc, but they all have different specials and whatnot. Like neon lets you slow down time to target weakpoints, smoke lets you get a power that automatically subdues enemies (with a good-karma subdue) if you get a headshot, that kind of stuff. They also all have very different dash-type abilities (doesn't sound like much, but each power does play pretty differently if you're putting any effort into it).
  4. Not the character animations, like background scrolling and stuff.
  5. Other than the fact that you can't switch between your various power flavors without going and charging the one you want to switch to, they don't seem to have any issues with that kind of thing this time around, and honestly the power switching seems more like a game design/balance decision than a control issue.
  6. I think for Stick of Truth people would expect more frames, but mainly because I've heard it has performance issues on PS360.
  7. The Last of Us is the only Naughty Dog game that really impressed me. I liked Uncharted for its adventure feel, but as a shooter it really wasn't very good.
  8. Yeah, it's kinda short for an open world game, but I felt like I got a full game out of it so whatever. I would have liked there to be sidequests (beyond the more environmental/collectible type things) but meh.
  9. 10 hours and 6 minutes from the timestamp on this post.
  10. Lucky for me I just sold my copy yesterday on Amazon for $35...
  11. I don't remember the textures on the PC version looking bad, so probably not.
  12. And if they're masking a loading screen fine, pop something up in the corner that says "Loading..." when I try and skip, so at least I know why. @madbass: those justifications might work on a first playthrough, but not on a second or subsequent, and I don't even think they really work on a first playthrough. People put a lot of work into movies, but there's nothing to stop me from fast-forwarding through parts I don't care about. I don't ever really do that, but I could if I wanted to.
  13. I want it so bad! I'm like a high school girl on prom night.
  14. It was the next logical step...
  15. Because of that I don't even try to pause cutscenes anymore except by hitting the PS/Xbox button. The only reason I figured out that you could pause Second Son's cutscenes was because I was trying to skip them and hit start options at one point.
  16. Yeah, I totally agree re: switching powers, I wanna be like the fucking Avatar.
  17. You don't get the slowmo? NOOOOO!
  18. I think there's more to it than that, this game just feels better put together overall. I agree that they do a better job in this game of making you feel crazy powerful without making you feel overpowered though, and that does contribute, I just don't think it's the biggest thing. Why I came here: I started a new game on Expert, to play evil this time, and so far it doesn't actually seem any harder. I'm not sure how much of that is me being better at the game than I was when I first started and how much is just that there's not much difference between difficulty levels.
  19. Yeah, I like some of the things they do with it, but like I said before its position makes it so except when it's changing to bright white I just can't see that it's changing colors. I can't see the light itself when I'm holding the controller, and only the white is bright enough to cast enough light into the room to be noticeable. I can see the light cast by the other colors when I look down, but the changes aren't drastic enough to catch my attention at the bottom edge of my vision when I'm looking at the screen, and I almost never look down while playing a game. If instead of that bar there were a little light patch or narrower strip on the front of the controller, that could be neat for the kinds of things you're talking about.
  20. Yeah, it's fantastic. Reviewers nailed it when they said it was like Infamous but better in every way.
  21. Really? That happened to me twice this weekend while playing Infamous. I mean, it didn't actually die, but it warned me the charge was getting low and I should plug it in.
  22. Yes, unpausable is also stupid. Luckily Infamous gets that right.
  23. I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but it bears repeating: unskippable cutscenes. Especially on a second playthrough. *Edit* - The Stick of Truth did it right, by having you hold down the button for like 5 seconds or whatever, so that you can't do it on accident but you can do it.
