Yeah, I thought the bosses were good. They weren't frustrating, and if you failed it didn't make you redo the whole thing, there were mid-fight checkpoints. The game would have felt like it was missing something without bosses.

Ha! (really super ridiculously minor Lego Marvel Super Heroes spoilers): This game may not be canon itself, but it's based on the movie verse. In case it's not clear he's talking about Hawkeye and Black Widow. *Edit* - I realize this is insanely flimsy evidence, it just amused me that we were just talking about this and then I get to this cutscene in the game.

It always makes me nervous when you have high-level positions like game director leaving a project midway through.

I don't understand not enjoying Thief, unless it's purely because it's been changed since the originals/doesn't measure up to them. On it's own it's quite nice. Nothing amazing, but fun.

I Youtube it if I miss anything in a cutscene. It's less of a hassle than reloading a save, especially since cutscenes are often after bossfights and stuff. The only real problem with that is a game where you can customize your character: it's disorienting to me when the PC doesn't look like mine, especially because people who post cutscenes online seem to go out of their way to make stupid looking characters.

I'm lucky that my wife totally understands and respects it when she starts talking to me and I say "hold on, cutscene", or when she asks me to do something and I say "okay, just let me get to a place I can save".

@WaS: I don't keep playing a game I'm not enjoying just to get achievements, but I will use achievements to direct my play of a game that I still want to play more of. I get bored with games easily if I don't have a goal, so if I still want to play it but have already finished the story achievements provide something to motivate myself to keep playing.

Just finished He Who Dwells on Expert. That was the part I thought was most likely to trip me up on my expert run, but I had less trouble than I did on Normal.

I want things to be internally consistent, but I don't mind retcons and stuff as long as it makes sense within the universe. It just has to feel truthy. And I certainly don't care if it makes sense in a real-world way, as long as it's not trying to present itself as realistic. *Edit* - I will say that the alarm clock thing is the greatest thing that's ever happened in any Spider Man movie.

Yeah, it's not that it's far fetched, it's that there's no suggestion of it. She hasn't ever been presented as being so badass that she needs superpowers to justify it.

I liked the McGuire ones better (too bad they never made a third one), but can't really put my finger on why. I liked ASM okay, but not enough to do anything more than Redbox the sequel. Also, that part at the end with the cranes and the flags was just awful.

Really enjoying the game. Some of the movements feel a bit dated. Like the jumping, outside of hovering, feels floaty. Parkour is meh as it feels forced.

@LP: Having played the first two will flesh out some of the background references, but I wouldn't say it's necessary. This story is mostly divorced from the events of the first two, and I don't think you'd have trouble following if you hadn't played them. Having played Infamous 2 would be more important than Infamous 1 if you wanted to only play one of the others.

http://news.xbox.com/2014/03/xbox-one-leveling-up-reputation MS is going to start taking away ancillary privileges, like Twitch, from people who are reported too much for bad behavior. That amuses me greatly.
