  1. My copy of Tapatalk is telling me it's out of date and I need to upgrade, but the only versions I can find on the Play store are paid versions. Is this a glitch or did they do away with the free version?

Oh gross, the one on Amazon is the old version.

Oh gross, even installing any apps from the Amazon marketplace.

I'll probably switch to the paid one as soon as I can figure out which one is the right one to buy. At the moment it looks like "Tapatalk" is the old version and "Tapatalk Pro" is the new version, but the fact that they're priced exactly the same confuses me.

  2. That would be fantastic, but I imagine it's beyond the ability of dean to correct. More an issue with the forum software.
  3. I'm just a little bit father than that, currently in the middle of the dreaded Scavenger Hunt of Doom. Agreed that the quick sail is fantastic.
  4. Still working on Wind Waker, but also last night I started playing Rayman Origins on Vita while waiting for my parents' plane to land. The demo hadn't hooked me, but I downloaded it again for free from PS+, and on about the third or fourth level, the first one with lots of fast water sliding, it clicked. Goddamn this game is great.
  5. It did just occur to me that I would love to be able to play the Galaxy games with the gamepad/classic controller rather than with a Wiimote.
  6. Wind Waker is also a pretty polarizing game, especially when it first came out. Lots of people HATE it.
  7. Luckily they understand that that was a stupid chore and in the HD one you only have to find 2 or 3 of the fragments.
  8. I'd like to see Mario Sunshine. That game could be gorgeous in HD with a better lighting engine.
  9. Free to the consumer/tester. Now you're just being difficult.
  10. Yeah, they can still make use of bulk discounts if they're manufacturing lots of the things.
  11. Then you end up with the president doing the only thing he can reasonably do to prevent economic collapse, and that's paying the bills anyway. That, in turn, leads into a constitutional crisis since legally he doesn't have the authority to do that without Congress' OK.
  12. Yeah, the ceiling is the 17th. I was confusing the ceiling with the shutdown. The shutdown is due to a provision in the last budget bill they passed, which said that if they couldn't reach an agreement of reducing spending by this month then there would be a shutdown of "nonessential" functions.
  13. Well that ending was rather abrupt. I get that it's a cliffhanger, but even so it was oddly done. Overall I thought this episode was a step back down from the previous one. This does not bode well.
  14. That's a really cool idea for a gametype, but one I would only want to play with someone I knew.
  15. I'll be more interested in online play once Smash Bros and Mario Kart come out.
  16. Because you said this: He was saying "they are going with the highest of the high end, which I don't understand, you'd think they wouldn't do that."
  17. Except for a few weird choices (like adding SSAO) it's fucking gorgeous. Haven't gotten the new sail yet so I can't say how that affects the game. Also, as a side note: FDS, I've been making an effort to put things on imgur instead of just hotlinking them. I hope you appreciate it.
  18. ^That. Though I definitely agree that a standard format that could be read by all e-devices, regardless of where you bought it, would be preferable. I know such formats exist, it's just kind of confusing to me that no companies adopt them when they don't seem to have a problem standardizing physical formats.
  19. Yeah, I knew that. But I feel like complaining that Amazon's DRM prevents you from using the book on a Nook is like complaining that Steam's DRM doesn't permit you to run the game through Origin.
  20. Root it and install the Kindle app. *Edit* - Sorry, for some reason I assumed that meant Nook Tablet. Can you even download Amazon books to a Nook at all?
  21. Yeah, but you're accessing them through the Kindle app every time, right? Right... I have never seen anything like that. What are you talking about?
  22. I played through every single level of NSMBU and I was never once in danger of losing all my lives. And I'm not like super good at platformers or anything either. There were some hard parts that I had to retry a bunch of times, but extra lives were plentiful enough that it was never an issue as far as getting a game over goes. Was this really a problem for people?
  23. I've bought some kindle books and never had a problem with them being on multiple devices (my Nexus 7, phone, and my wife's kindle).
