People can care about an issue but still get sick of what they perceive as nitpicking. Also you run this risk of alienating people who might care some about the issue but not just a whole lot. "If that's the worst discrimination facing Group X then it must not be so bad." Then more important, bigger problems get lost in the sea of overly critical crap. People only have so much energy to care, and if it gets gobbled up by a million tiny problems then they don't have any left when something important comes along. *Edit* - Not saying it's right or that's how it should be, ideally we could address all injustices, regardless of how big or small, but when you're trying to change the behavior of society or any large group as a whole then you have to acknowledge the realities of how they will react to your methods. Pick your battles.

Yeah, there is no good reason why every single Mario game from Gamecube and earlier shouldn't be on the eShop. Same with Zelda. I really don't have any idea what Ninty's problem is with that.

Is it a surprise that 3rd parties are going to skip Wii U with their 8th Gen games? They did the same thing with the Wii this gen. The only real question is whether they're going to develop Wii U specific games to make up for it (I doubt it).

I could see the roller coaster visuals throwing off your sense of equilibrium and making you stumble/flail to try to keep balance.

Gaming Tropes There Should Be More Of

Benchmark utilities/demos for PC games. It really ruins the intro to have to continually pause and screw with graphics settings. -
What I just described is exactly what I did, and it worked, so either it glitched for me or it does work that way.

They would have to have changed some of the specific events re: the weather, but it wouldn't have had to change the core story or flow of the game much. Could even have done something as simple as had a volcano erupting and spewing ash into the air, making it impossible for aircraft to approach the island until the eruption's over. *Edit* - And yeah, I know it's a taste thing, but after the Uncharted's and this I just feel like it's EVERY SINGLE game in this vein. It just starts to seem too formulaic.

The cat should be fine, they're not like dogs that need constant attention. If you get a nice cat it will probably be extra friendly when you first get home, but for the most part they're okay doing their own thing.

Some of the theaters in a larger town nearby have that, but not the theater in my town. It is nice when it's available.

In my experience at least 9 times out of 10 there's no one with a baby or a child small enough to be irritating, and I've never heard anyone talking on the phone in the theater. Although I specifically avoid Sunday afternoon showings to avoid the likelihood of children, so that might contribute to my better experience. Children are obviously a lot more common in kid's movies, but by the same token I don't feel like I have the right to get mad if I go see a kid's movie and there are children being irritating. Babies are always unacceptable, but when you go see Wreck-It-Ralph and there's a 5 year old who doesn't know how to whisper that's just a risk you have to accept.

This is the first Tomb Raider game I've ever played, so I can't speak to this series specifically, I was talking more about the genre as a whole.

Having just read through this whole thread I agree with Dean's interpretation of the over NeoStarr's.

I loved it. Much better than the Uncharted series in pretty much every way, but the combat especially (I know that in some ways it's more similar to a game like Arkham). At no point in this game did I feel the need to look up how many chapters it was because I felt like it was dragging, but I did that in all four Uncharted games. I said this in the Games You Beat thread, but at no point did the combat devolve into wave after wave of bullet sponges. Even at some points where there were a few waves of guys they all went down with a reasonable number of bullets aside from a handful of mini-boss-type characters. My only real complaint is It's possible they've patched it more, because the only two bugs I ran into were one BSOD when I alt-tabbed out of the game and in one spot the beacon for one of the collectibles was in the wrong place (but the map marker was in the right place).

Tomb Raider. Actually 100%'d it. Fantastic game, I actually liked it quite a bit better than Uncharted, what with it never devolving into wave after wave after wave of bullet sponges. There were a few times when it seemed like it might do that, but it was never more than 3 or so waves and there were only a handful of enemies that I would call bullet sponges through the whole game. I will say the whole

Then sit down instead of standing up.

He seemed to enjoy it.

idk, but they do the same thing on Vita sometimes with the screenshot. Usually it's just for specific parts of the game, rather than the whole game.

Developers will be able to disable the share button. Disappointing, if predictable.

It's the most interesting when the movie in question is like Murder Blood Spree with Gratuitous Nudity 3.

PhysX requires an Nvidia card to run in hardware I thought. You can run it in software on any machine but it obviously doesn't work nearly as well. -
Out of all the universe God created, he feels the need to tell humans not to masturbate.

I'd never really thought about Sunday being a family day generally, though what WaS says makes sense, but I have just through personal experience concluded that if you go to a matinee on a Sunday you're taking your chances of screaming children, regardless of what kind of movie it is.
