  1. I'd never really thought about Sunday being a family day generally, though what WaS says makes sense, but I have just through personal experience concluded that if you go to a matinee on a Sunday you're taking your chances of screaming children, regardless of what kind of movie it is.
  2. I never played Killzone 1, can't remember Killzone 2's intro (so shows how much that impacted me), and thought Killzone 3's was boring.
  3. I'll second Mass Effect 1 & 2, and Halo 1 & 2. A more recent one that comes to mind is Dishonored.
  4. It's kind of similar to Arkham Asylum, with distinct areas but being semi-open-world.
  5. So far I'm liking Tomb Raider quite a bit more than Uncharted. The combat isn't tedious, and it's not based around wave after wave after wave of bullet sponges.

What do you mean THOSE PEOPLE?! =o (Seriously, though, the bullet sponge enemy types arrive waaaaay earlier in Uncharted 2 and 3)

      I MEAN THEM DARKIES AND SQUINT EYES! U! S! A! U! S! A!

      I don't care if there's a lore reason, I still don't like bullet sponges.

  6. Yeah, I get that, but I feel like they would just disable the option.
  7. It's weird how the TressFX does not get along with Nvidia cards at all. I was running 60 fps, turned on TressFX just to try it and it immediately dropped to 5-10 fps.
  8. If that's related to my comment about Tomb Raider bluescreening that game actually does support it, I just wasn't using it because often it causes a framerate drop. *Edit* - Though upon running the benchmark just now I see that this particular game maintains a constant 60 fps even in borderless window, so that's the mode I'm using from now on. *Edit 2* - Also, I agree with your sentiment regardless.
  9. Well I alt-tabbed from the game to make that post and when I tried to click back over it bluescreened, so that's nice. I was alt-tabbing a ton earlier and didn't have any problems.
  10. I started playing Tomb Raider today. Really liking it so far, but I wish the camera didn't shake so much while you're running around, it's kind of giving me (extremely mild) motion sickness, and even Mirror's Edge didn't do that.
  11. While I'm totally of the opinion that RDR was one of the greatest games ever made, Undead Nightmare didn't really do it for me. I liked it because it was a chance to play more RDR, but it wasn't really anything special imo.
  12. Assassin's Creed 3: The Tyranny of King Washington. I really enjoyed it, though for whatever reason (whether it was execution or my mood, I don't know) I didn't feel compelled to do any of the side stuff this time, I just went straight from story mission to story mission. I think a big part of that was that doing the side stuff in this DLC didn't have any effect beyond restocking your supplies.
  13. I preferred elevators as well, it made the spaces seem more connected and less like a series of disjointed rooms.
  14. Apparently irl recurve bows can actually be rather loud when fired.
  15. How did you buy it/download it on Steam then?
  16. Isn't Uplay stuff just supposed to be a one-time activation now?
  17. Gonna start Tomb Raider next. How much aiming is there? Should I use kb/m or controller?

If I say it enough, Ethan will start believing me.

Controllers. The aiming here is easy somehow. It's better than aiming in uncharted. I hit 3 headshots in a row under 2 seconds I couldn't believe I did that with a controller.

Yeah, I managed 5 consecutive headshots with a controller at one point. Admittedly, the last one was achieved as a wolf was jumping directly at my face. Still, a lot of the fighting was about movement and placement more than aiming (i.e. it's third-person not first-person)

  18. I think he's saying the regular Assassin's Creed storylines are already alternate history, this is just extra alternate.
  19. Just started Assassin's Creed III: The Tyranny of King Washington. I'm a sucker for alternate history.
  20. What are you talking about? When they opened their mouths there was a hollow there.
  21. I think he's referring to the part where the coroner says it was just a tragic accident and no charges are being filed.
  22. Yeah, the textures were horrid but the animation was fantastic. They looked like perfectly animated clay masses.
