  1. But it's girls, driving tanks. I mean, come on.
  2. Ah, it looks like it's new and doesn't have an English version. So that might be a problem.
  3. What is that tank girl show? All of these pictures and gifs and whatnot are indoctrinating me into wanting to watch it.
  4. That's awesome, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have nightmares about the Child with No Face. Surely he could have used a pixelation filter instead?
  5. I did not know that. I wondered if it was something like that, but nothing I read (in the game or online) mentioned a cooldown. Thanks. *Edit* - Or so I thought. I went back to look at the wiki page and it says right there, "1 turn cooldown." And it hasn't been edited since October. Apparently I just can't read.
  6. I watched The Dark Knight Rises again last night. I enjoyed it more this time than I did the first time. I think part of that is that I wasn't completely excited for it, and since I already knew what happened I wasn't wtf-ing the whole time. I still think it's the weakest of the series, but it's a good movie anyway. My wife likes it more than the first one, which she thinks takes too long to get to the part where he's Batman.
  7. I know that, but what happens to me is I take a shot and hit the target, but it doesn't die. But then, instead of letting me take the second shot, it automatically switches to my next soldier as though my sniper's actions were used up. Now, because I didn't do them right in a row, I can't take the second shot even though I'm not the one who switched to the other unit. It happens somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of the time.
  8. I liked it a lot, though I now see why people say it has basically no replay value. The fact that the campaign plays out exactly the same every time destroys my desire to play through it on a harder difficulty.
  9. I've encountered a vaguely similar bug in singleplayer with Double Tap on my snipers. Sometimes it just doesn't let me take the second shot (although it doesn't lock me out of the rest of the units).
  10. No, but it's shocking that it would be close enough to done to justify an open beta but still take more than 6 months to reach "complete" status.
  11. I'm confused, how does her clicker make the car move?
  12. It's been 6 months and it's still in Beta?
  13. How does the multi even work? Is it coop?
  14. It's actually easier if you don't play the tutorial, because the tutorial artificially restricts how soon you can get certain basic things, so you might consider starting over without the tutorial. That's what I did and I had a WAY easier time. *Edit* - I mean, the tutorial is helpful, but it hinders your base early game so once you've done it you should restart without it.
  15. I would LOVE it if the tablet design became standard. Being able to play while someone else uses the TV (or even while you yourself have something on the TV) is so fantastic, you don't even realize how great it is until you can do it. Of course obviously they can't abandon the classic controller altogether, otherwise couch multiplayer would be practically impossible and I don't see them doing that.
  16. They're having problems with the captcha on the simcity.com page when you try to log in, but if you go to origin.com and log in there then when you go back to simcity.com you're already logged in and it should work.
  17. There are no legal consequences to selling M/AO games to minors, and legally there cannot be. Most stores have their own policies, but there are no government enforced consequences, the same as with movies. You could probably get a little bit of them under obscenity laws, but the Supreme Court has said (stupidly, IMHO) that obscenity only encompasses sex, not violence. So the government could probably get away with a fine for selling Bonetown to minors, but not Manhunt.
  18. A folder system is desperately needed. Also, some less-cumbersome way to move a bunch bubbles between pages together.
  19. Tom Cruise. Though I don't think he's quite up there with Mel Gibson.
  20. There were some pretty terrible parts (the giant steel balls, for one, and everything involving that black-stereotype duo), but overall I still enjoyed it.
  21. The practicalities of the law in effect are irrelevant. It's completely and blatantly illegal, and will never be allowed to go into effect, even if it passes. They'd have to amend the Constitution first.
  22. http://www.joystiq.c...t-esrb-ratings/ A House bill that would require all games to be rated by the ESRB and ban selling M and AO rated games to minors. It's completely illegal, of course. I just... sigh... *Edit* - Also this: http://www.joystiq.com/2013/01/17/dont-panic-missouri-lawmaker-proposes-violent-game-tax/
