I've also started playing Pokemon White for while my wife doesn't want me hogging the TV. I played like 10 hours yesterday, so apparently I'm not going to lose interest with this one like I have done with Gens 2-4. I like the Pokemon in these a lot better than the other later gen games I've played; they seem more stylistically in line with Gen 1 in a way I can't really articulate, but I like.

According to EA the infinite resources aren't a glitch, it's intentional and won't be patched out.

I started playing The Last Story yesterday, but only got to play for about half an hour. Going to jump back into it today.

My wife runs into a related problem a lot at work (she works as a case manager for kids with emotional problems) in reports she gets, especially from teachers. Like a report might say the kid "called the teacher an f-ing b." Okay, so did the kid actually say "f-ing b" or did the kid call the teacher a "fucking bitch"? Because that's an important distinction.

I'm surprised we don't already have this thread. I'm making it because apparently Obsidian has developed what they think is a badass pitch for a new Star Wars RPG, set between Episodes III and IV. From the sound of the article it wouldn't involve any of the main movie characters, but just be set in that time period. They were pitching it to LucasArts, who seemed interested, but after Disney bought them they've still been waiting for the smoke to clear. I so hope this comes true.

I forgot to post it on here, but a couple of days ago I beat Anno 2070 (the campaign, which is really more of an extended tutorial). Really like it.

EU or NA though? I'm like 60% sure I saw it on the NA store.

They did kind of address that by saying that because they're not actually a mobile device they're not constrained by phones' considerations of battery life and can use the Tegra 3 to it's full potential in a way that phones don't. I don't know how true that is, but it's what they said.

But we have no idea where the rumor came from. If it's true I'll be sad, because Halo 4 sold me on 343 being able to make good Halo games, and I was looking forward to the the rest of the Reclaimer trilogy.

I played through Pokemon Yellow on an emulator in college during classes, and I had it set to like 5x speed. I could never use the bike because it was so fast it was un-controllable.

So the rumors of an always-on DRM built into the console are resurfacing. Part of me thinks there's no way they would do that, it would eviscerate their consumer base, especially with Sony not doing the same thing. But then another part of me wonders how hard it would actually hit their bottom line, given the stereotype of Xbox being supported solely by CoD-playing dudebros. *Edit* - The rumor also mentions bluray, but that's more of a "no shit" prediction.

I can't find where, but I'd read rumors that the PS4's GPU was /way/ better than the 720's. Rumors though, so who knows.

I know, but the 360 is a lot closer to the PS3 than the rumors are suggesting the 720 and PS4 will be. *Edit* - Also, and now it's my turn to sound like a fanboy, Halo 4 looked as good as anything I've seen on PS3.

I wonder that too. I also wonder what effect it will have if the rumors are true and the PS4 significantly outclasses the 720. Seems like that would make console development less attractive because you wouldn't be able to make multiplats as easy. Either that or the PS4 version of multiplats would just be gimped by the 720's capabilities. And depending on how far apart they are you could end up with a weird situation where you have Wii U/720 multiplats that are developed to Wii U's capabilities, and then 720/PS4 multiplats that are developed to the 720's capabilities (with each console obviously having their own exclusives as well).

My understanding is that a private region actually means it's invite-only, so if you want to play alone you just make a private region and don't invite anyone, but if you want to play specifically with friends you can do that too.

As far as the "left trigger" thing, the headline is about how it's confirmed for next-gen consoles, so I don't think it's anything to get too worried about.
