I really liked SP. Your reaction to it sounds a lot like mine when I saw Prometheus though. And yeah, they definitely have a certain theme to them. Why I actually came in here:

Great game. My mom really likes it. Also, played The Resistance with my wife, sisters and parents Wednesday night, everyone really enjoyed it. We're going to try it again on Sunday with the extended family so we can see if it's different with 10 people (after a few games we got too good at reading each other with just six).

I'm reasonably convinced it's a marketing decision and inclined to believe the devs when they say it's not representative of the game. I did notice in the E3 demo that while Connor was fighting Redcoats, when he was talking to that American officer the officer was like "yay, help us take out these British" and Connor was basically like "fuck you, I only care about the Templar."

Never actually played, though I'm considering getting Disgaea 3 for Vita. I also love tactical turn-based combat systems.

There's something immensely satisfying about seeing numbers like that get bigger. It's almost as satisfying as filling up bars. (While this is somewhat tongue-in-cheek, it's also entirely true.)

For me it wasn't that the plot was ambiguous, it was that very little that the characters did made any sense in the context. It wasn't even that they did dumb things, dumb things I can handle, real people do dumb things, it was that their actions seemed to have no cause. The strange thing is, as much as I thought the movie was a great big pile of meh, I really would like to see a sequel, because a lot of the setting elements and questions are interesting and I'd like to see them explored.

Well I don't think anyone (in here, at least) is saying that no games should have that kind of power fantasy violence, it's just sad that it seems like almost all big, AAA games feel obligated to. Watch_Dogs was the perfect example.

Yeah, obviously they have to have a unique identifier for people, but there's no good reason that they can't let people make their own unique identifier so it's a least somewhat easily read by humans.

I like the metro look better than XP. XP always looked to me like a toddler's toy in terms of the roundness and colors of everything. I don't think the metro look is bad, I just don't like it as much as Aero.

Oh come on, that's a stretch to say that's comparing Blizzard to the Nazis. He's just pointing out people's tendency to not care about an issue until it directly affects them, using a famous poem. Yes, the poem was about Nazis, but that wasn't the point he was making.

I think it looks nice. I find the Metro style blocky and plain looking. It's boring. Referring primarily to the taskbar stuff. I actually do like the window frames, though still not as much as Aero.
