  1. lol, just do what I'm doing and keep a list in a text file on your computer, and then post the whole thing at the end of the year.
  2. Just gave the Kingdoms of Amalur demo another shot, liked it this time. Must just have been in the wrong mood last time. I'd pay $30 for it. Pity they're charging $60...

Too high requirements or just some weird-ass conflict?

I got into the game and the game only drew the UI, not the game world.

I think you might have to turn off post-processing in the graphics options. Had the same problem myself.

  3. It appears to me though that unlike some F2P games you can unlock all the content with the in-game currency, so you never have to pay anything. I also like matchmaking, though I know I'm in the minority on that, at least among PC gamers. And it would be nice to be able to set up a server if you wanted, but whatever. I also am really enjoying the upgrade the actual gameplay got. I loved MNC on 360, but for some reason I didn't really enjoy it that much on PC, but I'm enjoying SMNC quite a lot. *Edit* - Also, I made this thread so we can arrange to play together: http://forum.pressxordie.com/index.php?showtopic=1567&pid=74055&st=0entry74055
  4. Treaties =/= laws In the US it does. Treaties here have the same legal force as statutory law, which means if Congress passes a new statute counter to an old treaty the new statute wins. Also most of the time treaties aren't considered self-executing in US law, which means that us signing a treaty has no effect unless Congress then passes a law giving effect to it. There are some exceptions, like a treaty saying we'll withdraw troops from such-and-such a place, because the president can do that unilaterally without needing Congress to pass a law.
  5. I've got two Super Monday Night Combat invites and a Steam mobile invite if anyone wants them (SMNC requires Steam).

I would be all over one of the SMNC invite, if you would be so gracious.

One taken by me, thanks dude!

If that SMNC invite is still unclaimed, I'm curious about it.

  7. Passing a new law that goes against old law changes the old law.
  8. Hydrophobia: Prophecy. I enjoyed it. Took about 3 hours.
  9. Yeah, it's really good. I actually liked the RTS part, though if it's an RTS you're looking for there are better ones available.
  10. I saw a production of Midsummer Night's Dream in the original pronunciation. Made it difficult to understand at first, until I got used to it, but it was cool.
  11. The lack of pupils in that one frightens me.
  12. One may not simply Tank Cat into Mordor, but I bet Tank Krogan has a chance. I love tanking.
  13. Yes it was, I moved it after FLD suggested someone do so on the previous page. There's still a link in the Xbox forum, but it points here.
  14. For pulling them over I was imagining a system similar to the transmitters that police, firefighters and ambulances use to override stoplights.
  15. Well FINE, if you want to use "facts". I am now interested to see side-by-side comparisons of actual WiiU games with their PS360 counterparts. This is what I'm talking about though. Why did they use PS360 video instead of PC?
  16. To be clear, I was actually talking about what they did at E3 last year, not new stuff since then. I should have been using past tense the whole time.
  17. Okay, maybe I misunderstood what happened at E3, but IIRC they showed off PS360 footage as if it were WiiU. I'm simply asking why they didn't use the PC version instead. Regardless of whether it's illegal to show off video from another platform, if they're going to do it anyway they might as well pick a platform that better reflects what their system will be capable of. As I said, I could have misunderstood, but I was under the impression those videos at E3 weren't actually running on the WiiU anyway, they were running on PS360. Also, over here you can be pretty damn misleading in advertisements as long as you don't actually outright lie. For instance for Call of Duty 2 on the 360 is incredibly misleading because it presents pre-rendered footage as if it were in game, but it's perfectly fine. What would not be fine would be putting "Actual in-game footage" in the corner. Also, I think there's a difference between showing that at a press event and saying "this is what it's projected we'll be capable of" and running the wrong video in an actual ad for an actual completed product.
  18. So put a dummy in the driver's seat.
  19. OMFG dean you are completely missing the point. Pick other multiplats, the specific game isn't important. Just why aren't they using footage from the PC version of multiplats if their console can do so much better than PS360? Why are they using footage from the console versions? EVERY game looks a lot better on PC (or can with a good enough PC), regardless of whether it's using DX11 specific features or not.
  20. Well like I said it was fun, it's just not anywhere near long enough.
  21. Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2 come to mind.
  22. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. 4.5 hours total. That's like an FPS. Glad I only paid $5 for it. I mean, it was fun, but there just is not enough game there. Definitely inferior to the first.
  23. Even though I'm sure they'll make the cars to require a driver, if they're capable of driving without control input from that driver I don't think it's unreasonable to expect someone to figure out how to hack it so it can drive with no one in it. I mean, supposedly regular cars require keys but it's still possible to get them started without one.
  24. Ima go back a bit. This makes sense, but then why weren't they showing off footage from high-end PCs instead?
