  1. You could try it but the specs say 2.4 GHz so I wouldn't hold out much hope.
  2. Here's how you know Mirror's Edge isn't a shooter: even on PC I prefer to play it with a 360 pad.

Here's how you know Mirror's Edge isn't a shooter: most of the gameplay is running and jumping, not shooting.

Also, I too prefer it with the pad, just because of the analogue movement.

  3. You mean as opposed to being prerendered? Aren't in-engine cutscenes basically the standard now?
  4. You're pretty well above the minimum, so I doubt you'd be struggling to run it, you just won't be able to turn everything all the way up.
  5. If you have a 570 what's keeping you from meeting the recommended, staySICK?
  6. I'd be okay with that, I didn't like the demo enough to buy it but I'd still like to have it to see what all the hype is about.
  7. Use System Requirements Lab instead. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/analysis.aspx Just by looking at your specs it looks like you meet the recommended specs except for the graphics card, and you definitely exceed all the minimum requirements.
  8. From Wikipedia: I also like the iterative design style, provided they continue to provide the newer iterations for free to those who already bought the older ones. That's what they've been doing so far though, so they are gaining my confidence. If MS prevents them from adding the Prophecy update to the XBLA version I might just buy the Steam version too.
  9. You guys can't even meet a Core 2 Duo? My laptop has a Core 2 Duo... I'm reasonably confident that with just the random ass parts I have in my closet (due to having upgraded away from them) I could build a computer that would meet the minimum requirements.
  10. Also, found this while looking for that (slightly NSFW):
  11. I would buy Dead Space 2 if it were $10.

I streamed/beat Dead Space 2 on Zealot difficulty a few weeks ago and I attempted it on Hardcore again recently. It is actually a very enjoyable game IMHO. The Stalkers are my favorite Necromorph addition because their group tactics make them challenging to kill. I thought that the story and characters were better in this one too. The game wasn't worth $60 to me, but it was definitely worth the $40 or however much it cost during the Steam sale.

YOU WILL BUY IT NOW BECAUSE DEAD SPACE 2 IS AMAZING.

I found it extremely enjoyable on my first playthrough- and it's actually fun to replay. There's New Game+ which helps, but in general it's just more fun and dynamic and actiony than the first. Much better story too. You should get it, man.

  12. When I said "Toy Story" I really meant the Toy Story series as a whole.
  13. I agree with the gist of this, though jaggies bug the shit out of me, and a little texture filtering would be nice to get rid of that line of high-res/low-res that's always running along the ground in front of you, but otherwise yeah, graphics improvements aren't that important to me. Of course I already get every game I can on PC anyway.
  14. BLASPHEMY! RDR is seriously one of my favorite games of all time. I wish they would make more singleplayer expansions. There is almost nothing I would change about that game.
  15. The Incredibles = greatest Pixar movie ever (after Toy Story). I'm pissed that Cars, the crappiest Pixar movie ever, is getting a sequel instead of The Incredibles.
  16. I'm shocked at how well Kinect is doing, actually, in awareness more so than sales. I was studying with one of my female friends yesterday, and she was looking for a yoga class in the city she's moving to after graduation, and was complaining that they only had old-person yoga and middle-aged-person zumba. I commented offhand that there's a zumba game for Kinect and she goes "Is that that thing where you don't have to use a controller? I want that." This girl has probably never played a video game in her entire life. I bow to MS's marketing.
  17. As long as it's on in time for me to get my bonus content for L.A. Noire I'm good.
  18. Yeah, we use this thread for any new games we come into (legitimate) possession of.
  19. Why? 360 came out in 2005, if they released a follow-up in 2012 that's a 7-year lifespan. That's not especially short.
  20. If it were higher res I'd say you could just take the file to a print shop and have them make one for you.
