  1. Yeah, I think I like the ending song from this one even better than Still Alive, though it will never be able to overcome the sheer nostalgia from Still Alive since that song came as a complete surprise.
  2. Ah yeah, that part gave us some trouble too.
  3. I figured it was something like this, but I hoped there was a secret trove of puzzles I was missing so I could have more Portal to play. *Edit* - And yeah, when the GT review shows actual bits of the game it almost always shows the player(s) doing it wrong, so it doesn't really give away solutions, which I thought was a nice thing to do.
  4. Oh yeah, beat Portal 2 SP in one sitting (not that that's a huge accomplishment) on Tuesday. Did most of the coop campaign yesterday and plan to finish it up today.
  5. I honestly don't understand all the GTA IV hate, I fucking love it. Course I also think Vice City > GTA III > San Andreas, so maybe I just get something different out of GTA than most people. Also, do we have a Day 37?
  6. Sony's doing well with the marketing for this game, I keep forgetting it's not a PS3 exclusive.
  7. Okay, so I watched the Gametrailers review, and there were a couple of puzzles shown in it that I remember seeing from pre-release videos but I don't remember from the actual game. Were these sections cut or am I missing something? In the linked video, the relevant puzzles show up at the following times: 1:13 5:23 5:50 (I'm less sure about this one) 6:04 (I think this is the same one as 5:23) 6:13 (Might also be the same as 5:23/6:04) 7:58 (I think this is the same as 1:13) 8:14 @Thursday: Yeah, DaveStrife and I played coop last night, and you would never have known we weren't on a LAN.
  8. Which one is that? I don't remember any of them taking too long.
  9. I agree wholeheartedly, Brain.
  10. Alright, home from class. Who wants to co-op it up?
  11. lolwut? I fucking love Halo, but they're only like 12 hours or less on a first run through. Also, and this is a big thing for me: at least on the PC Portal allows mods, which allow user-created test chambers. There's theoretically infinite play-time once you take that into account.
  12. A lot of the comments on the article are ragging on the author for how retarded it is. *Edit* - But then I just realized that those people seem to have been linked there from the Steam forums, and are mostly men. So there's that.
  13. Have 2 dps, looking for tank and healer.

Nothing, just mocking dumb people trying to get a PUG going (specifically on WoW).

  14. See, I played the shit out of Fallout 3 (on 360, so no mods), sunk something like 300 hours into that game between all my characters, but I just can't seem to stay interested in New Vegas. The weirdest thing about that is that I actually like New Vegas better than Fallout 3, but for some reason I can't keep my attention on it. I managed to beat it once right after it came out, but I skipped a lot of the side stuff (partially on the assumption that you'd be able to continue playing after the end) and then both my attempts to play it again have petered out at about the 15-hour mark.
  15. I'll be home from class around 4:30 or so (GMT -6), any time after that works for me.
  16. I don't think it counts if you were there because you were an employee, Chew.
  17. Yeah, and all the categories only gave me the option of "empty". Not that I care all that much, I think the rollcages are ugly, but damnit I preordered the game and so I want my cookie!
  18. Oh yeah, I didn't mean that ME2 requires less thought than ME1, what I meant was that Adept/Engineer in ME1 requires more thought than Soldier in ME1, creating a difference in play between the two classes. I contrasted that with ME2, where regardless of whether I'm the one with the powers or not I still use them the same way, so it doesn't matter if I am a Soldier or an Adept, the gameplay doesn't change significantly. I totally agree that as a whole ME2 combat requires more thought than ME1 combat, and I also much prefer ME2's combat over ME1's. It's just that I feel like classes make less of a difference in ME2 than they did in ME1.
  19. Crap, I forgot we had an event planning board.
  20. You're making quite a big assumption there. I agree that the responsibility for people's actions are on them, and I say so in my previous post, but it follows for that that the responsibility for your actions is on you. Yes, people should not react with such hostility, but similarly perhaps you should make an effort to change the behavior that is eliciting that hostility.
  21. I have absolutely no idea, you'd have to test it and see.
  22. So I got a code for the rollcage skin for the coop campaign bots, and I entered the code and it seemed to activate properly, but I can't figure out how to turn the skin on. Does anyone know?
  23. You accused me of doing the same thing when we were arguing about Spore. However, in that discussion I never asked anyone to downvote you or upvote me, or did anything related to the discussion except what you can see in the thread itself. Likewise, to my knowledge, RockyRyan didn't "get" anyone to downvote you. People do it of their own accord. *Edit* - Missed a page. Jeez Rocky, take a chill pill. Right, I'm sure it was just "other people" who downvoted me within three minutes of my post being up. That is, in fact, exactly what has happening. I will concede that people react negatively to your posts, as I myself did in the Spore thread (and as I already stated I regret the tone I took in that thread and I apologize for it). People are reacting negatively, and the responsibility for their own comments is on them, but it is in response to the nature of your posts. People disagree on this forum all the time, but the disagreements don't usually turn into flame-fests like the ones involving you tend to. You say it's not your problem that people can't respond to you without becoming angry, but to some extent it is. Think about the fact that people react so negatively to your posts when they do not react as negatively to the posts of others, even others who disagree with them, then consider what might be drawing out that negativity.
  24. I bought Warband quite a while ago when it was on Steam sale, but haven't played it yet. I really should.
