  1. Out of nowhere, Splosion Man on Hardcore became disappointingly easy.

  2. Alpha Protocol 2 would be be awesome ... Fix the dumb as rocks AI, past that I would just want them to "expand" on everything. So longer game, more skills, character relationships and dialogue choices carry farther across the game. Sega already nixed the idea of a sequel, I'm hoping Obsidian will find someway to make it though.
  3. San Andreas had planes (including a fighter jet) and parachutes ... END OF DISCUSSION. ... I spent way too much time just flying around, shooting random cars, then bailing out and parachuting on top of stuff. Also, going up that mountain and driving off with various vehicles was always fun. It had couch co-op. Not really extensive, but just the ability to free-roam and cause chaos with a friend was great. when did this become a San Andreas thread
  4. Just kidding around, no need for fist shaking! the 'boy' part wasn't really to denote gender, so switching the name would probably just confuse the brand if anything I just hate when companies make the "girl" versions and put up an ad with all things pink and fluffy and what not.
  5. Pink = girl? Stop thinking like someone from marketing Wikipedia says there was a pink version, Japan only of course.
  6. Don't ask me how I saw a foot and knew it was Starcraft Ghost ... cause I don't know either
  7. Starcraft Ghost. Using canceled games ... kinda cheap
  8. It was either Super Mario All-Stars or Super Mario World ... I'd have to ask my mom, I have terrible memory.
  9. >San Andreas >Incremental Changes Anywho ... 10. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 9. Minecraft 8. Mass Effect 2 7. Gears of War 6. Street Fighter 4 5. StarCraft II 4. Uncharted 2 3. Burnout Paradise 2. God of War 1. Call of Duty: Black Ops (I did that correctly, yes?)
  10. Yup, it's set in a world made of cubes. You can travel along them, as mentioned the goal is to get the two characters together (you can switch between them). You can pick up certain blocks and put them down, some places you can travel to a different axis (as in, around a cube), etc etc. Basically you navigate and use the tools at hand (there's a single block, a triple block, an elevator, and more). Well if you just plow through the game it would probably only take 2 or 3 hours ... depending on how stuck you get on some of the puzzles (later ones get pretty tricky). But getting 100% involves much more thorough investigation of each level to get certain items, plus you'll unlock bonus levels which are even more complex. I'd estimate ... 5+ hours? It kinda depends on your ability level with puzzlers (I kinda suck). Still, the game is so adorable and clever, it's really worth it.
  11. Oh, and how could I forget ... the triple-booked small chainsaw and the Real Mega Buster from Dead Rising. Beating the entire game multiple times with just 2 weapons = awesome.
  12. Good ... now play it like, a million more times. Awesome game. I played through it once and then got halfway through a second playthrough. That's like 80 hours right there. I believe I played it for about 300 hours total. Going for all the costumes/titles, mastering the secret affection system ... fun stuff.
  13. Good ... now play it like, a million more times. Awesome game.
  14. Lara Croft has excellent co-op play (both local and online), but it's also pretty damn fun solo. A good amount of content, you'll get your money's worth if you go for the %100 (which isn't too difficult). I found ilomilo to be a really fun puzzle game, and I usually don't like that genre at all. Very cute game, and it has a good challenge level (not annoyingly hard, not pathetically easy). I would definitely recommend them both. Just fyi, ilomilo hasn't been official released yet (that happens on January 5th), I and others got it early from an official website handing out trial codes.
  15. It was awesome, but so impractical IMO. I would use it every once in a while for fun. But yeah, the plasma cutter is awesome, I love the force gun as well even if it kind of ruins the whole point of that 'strategic dismemberment' thing ...
  16. Normal shotgun and Super Shotgun (Doom 1/2) This Machine (Fallout: New Vegas) Metal Blaster (Fallout 3) Melee, if that counts (Shadow Complex) QBU88 (Bad Company 1) My near perfect Hellfire (Borderlands)
  17. Fears I have ... hmmm ... mostly just crowds. And heights (when I was a kid we went up the CN Tower, there's a god damn glass floor in one corner. Absolutely terrifying).
  18. Don't worry, getting the last couple of pages isn't so bad. Now if you had decided to get all the collectibles in a Nightmare run ... that would've been suicide. Amazing game, fun achievements too. Those DLC "beat the whole thing without dying" things were somewhat annoying, though. But a nice challenge at the same time.
  19. You mention Doom ... but not Doom II? For shame. Other favourites of mine: Shadow Complex Both Monkey Islands ilomilo Castlevania: SotN Lara Croft GoL Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
  20. Scott Pilgrim DLC is finally out ... YAY! Someone forgot to release the patch that makes it playable. FUUUUUU-

I have yet to play it, so maybe I should wait a bit for some more patches.. Ah and yes, the de-railing was my fault, haha. Thought I'd jump in.

Ha, no problem. The patches they've had were pretty damn comprehensive (the game was a lot worse on launch day), but I can understand if you want to wait. Should be more patches coming.

Yeah. I'm still working my way through Fallout 3 anyway. Have yet to see any bugs though, so that's a plus.

  21. Oh god ... Fable 2. I'm not sure if I was disappointed since I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but dear god that game is terrible. Dreading having to eventually get all the achievements on it (I'm sure glad I got it for free thanks to a glitch, would never pay money for it). Also, does DLC count? Because Underdome and Robolution for Borderlands were so very disappointing.
  22. GTA4 Mass Effect 2 Bad Company 2 None of these are bad games, in fact they're pretty damn good. But I personally found them disappointing since they're all steps backwards from their predecessors.
  23. Multiplayer achievements are almost always annoying. Lots of times the community is dead, so you've got to boost no matter what. Wrangling together a bunch of strangers is just a pain in the ass. Then there's the ones that are just ridiculous - play a billion matches, reach level 1000, whatever. Just stupid time sinks. On the other hand, I was looking over the Dead Space 2 list and it looks like there's a good chance the achievements will either be single-player only, or can be gained in either single OR multi. Which would be awesome. Another thing I hate is the lower and lower amount of games with local multi. Multiplayer is fine by me if I can play it with a friend side-by-side, I really wish more games had it.
  24. Being an achievement hunter, multiplayer usually means shitty multiplayer achievements. Yes yes, I know achievements don't mean anything, it's still annoying. Added multi just makes me feel I'm missing out on something, not getting the full experience if you will. Don't get me wrong, I'm not getting hung up on these occurrences, since from a dev standpoint it usually makes sense. I'm just saying I find it personally aggravating.
  25. I play the occasional multiplayer game, but I highly prefer single player modes, and single-player only games. I hate this trend of single-player games I realled liked getting multiplayer in sequels (BioShock 2, Dead Rising 2, Dead Space 2).
