  1. Same as my name here. I don't play multi much and I'm a bit shy about joining random parties ... but feel free to add me anyways
  2. I find myself always interested in games that get slammed in reviews, but have their own charms and quirks, and thus I end up liking them anyways. So I was planning on picking this game up already. But then I heard about this super-update (and a price drop too!), so now I'm DEFINITELY interested. Next time I have points I'm buying it.
  3. IIRC you're allowed to skip exactly one trophy and you're still able to get every jiggy, and thus every achievement. I think that's the one I skipped, actually. If I had the game I'd totally help, but I got rid of it ages ago. I got every single achievement 'cept the one you need Banjo-Kazooie XBLA for, and the DLC one for trophies - the DLC missions are a LOT harder IMO. You could always try x360a or TA for boosting though. Also do you have the achievement for "Win 20 Xbox LIVE ranked multiplayer games in any mode"? Because it's bugged and you can do it offline.
  4. Maybe it glitched on me and he IS supposed to only say it at certain times. I'm certain it happened, it made me laugh and I had a discussion about it with my friend in party chat.
  5. When I was a kid, I must've played Super Mario Bros 1, 2, 3, and Super Mario World, dozens of times each. Kinda miss getting so much mileage out of a game.
  6. 3 fairly different classes The rest are just mixes. I played through it 7 or 8 times.
  7. I replayed Borderlands way too many times. It does have co-op, but I didn't play it much. Past that, it's pretty damn reptitive, but I have two level 61s (which translated to 4 playthroughs). 3 fairly different classes and tons of different dialogue options and choices ... ME has lots of replay value IMO.
  8. "Try to transport fuel now, you pipeline jerks!"
  9. Yo dawg, I heard you liked toys ... wait, that came out wrong. Because I can now add them to my collection, and mix and match and build stuff with them.
  10. It's been a while for me too, but for some reason that game is just burned into my brain (in a good way).
  11. Just try running into the first room and meleeing a bunch. On the plus side, you can now melee faster, and melee in a circle. Which is mildly entertaining. Also, that one javelin weapon turned out to be cooler than expected, I thought it would do the usual 'shoot spike into enemy, press a button to blow it up; shtick.
  12. Oh, I definitely laughed. But this is supposed to be a horror game, so making me laugh just ruins the atmosphere.
  13. The swearing actually came across as 'gruff action hero' to me. He says things like 'Die you f*ck!' (something like that). A bit odd, but I would've been ok with it if they programmed it so he only swore when he was actually killing a necromorph ... not a floor panel I dunno, I'm ok with the voice and all, I guess I thought him being mostly silent in the first worked fine. Also, they took away the incredibly-awesome-looking-but-incredibly-pointless alt fire on the Pulse Rifle and replaced it with a grenade launcher that looks lame but is actually helpful. So I'm sort of indifferent about that.
  14. Played the demo. It's a lot like the first, but I'm ok with that. The swearing when I used the melee attacked seemed pointless, especially when he did it as I melee'd a floor. Still annoyed by the addition of multiplayer. I looked over the achievement list and there's a good chance there aren't any multiplayer specific achievements, which would be nice.
  15. Yeah, it's just people act like it was a completely useless feature but it definitely helped the 'exploring the planet' feeling. So if they focused on just improving the actual areas you explore, it would be an awesome 'addition'. In-game, no. Asari are ... mono-gendered, I think was the word. We had a whole discussion about it in another thread, and Bioware is against the idea, so it's just wishful thinking on my part
  16. I'm saying squad orders are nice but sometimes it's more frustrating when they don't follow you, so they're pointless, so you're back to square one. Basically of hierarchy of things I'd rather have: >Squad orders that work >No squad orders >Squad orders that fail miserably
  17. I bought Dead Money for Fallout New Vegas. I've heard some complaints but they just come across as whining to me. I think it was amazing, great way to start out the DLC for NV.
  18. Bring back the stuff from ME1 that they removed (especially the GOD DAMN HELMET TOGGLE), refine them if needed. I would love to have planetary exploration back ... people say that it was too boring especially since all the planets were pretty much the same. Well, if they made them a bit smaller, and had better/varying landscapes, and finally a better controlling vehicle - I think it would really help the 'universal' feeling of the game. Also, gay romances. /derail thread
  19. I'd rather have that then when you have the ability to issue squad orders ... but the AI is terrible
  20. I've used 'Viper' since I was a kid, and this is the name my 360 randomly generated for me when I was setting up Xbox Live. It was stupid but memorable, so I chose it
  21. Dead Money in a few hours :)
