I should have checked my financial aid last year... This quarter I am potentally quite fucked. Should of accepted a lot more loans...
  2. I bought that day one after I saw it in action. Totally worth it. Bonus points if you like those 80's, early 90's HK action movies and/or understand Cantonese. Last game that i recall had Cantonese was Driver. Dean, after a while you'll find out why cars are deemed as weapons.
  3. I'm disappointed. Must be the wings since it is known that Apple Jack is best pony. She can make hard cider dammit.
  4. Gaiz, if I get banned from the web... I want you all to know that is because I ignored a steam admin. Five hours till I get banned. Любит

Nothing. Its just those dumb people who pose as Steam admins, which are not really a thing, asking you to go to such-and-such website for one reason or another else I get banned. They want all of my delicious games.

Next time I should attempt back scamming them or something. I seem to recall someone pulling that off before.

  5. After some recommendations, I've started Magi. Not bad I think. It got the potential to scratch the itch of Fullmetal Alchemist and that is saying something. It got a pretty vibrant world with wonderful design with both locations and characters. So far pacing is good (At episode 5) with no real slow downs. The only real negative, I suppose (?), is how white/Asian washed the characters are. Everybody is pale skinned even though pretty much everyone so far is based off of Arabs, Indians, Africans, Steppe people (Mongols) and China. No hints of Roman, Greek (They're kind of tannish though) or other European civilizations yet. Not like its hindering my enjoyment of the series but come on. I know there is a manga and I hope it really doesn't get strung out. I know I can read the manga but I know how I am with manga (I will kill it in no time at all if I like it). So yeah, I hope the manga concludes relatively soon because I really don't want to be a slave to a 100+ episode series (It also kills most shonen series). So far its sitting at 50 episodes (25x2 seasons) with a side story OVA. I'm going to use this first season and its manga equivalent to gauge how I like its progress before I totally commit. Oh yeah, it got a wonderful OST too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1egzmjFMYBs On a tangent... I've caught up on Attack of Titan after a few months break. Cool development and world building but we're never going to plug up Wall Maria and head into that basement until next year at this rate.
  6. Thanks. I feel the love. You're an exception.

Try that with a convertible laptop. One moment you can be using it like a laptop and the next as a tablet. I dream of unification.
  8. Another reason to believe in the Gossip of Folks-Who-Lived-There that the Bakersfield to Fresno area is quite silly and should be avoided at all costs.
  9. Honestly, if I was more focused I think I could of gotten my senior project draft done in two days instead of a week. How am I pose to survive grad school if I'm still like this...

You will be like this for the rest of your life, it's how 99% of people are, and they do just fine. Plenty of grad students have gotten their degrees while procrastinating like crazy.

  10. This is what can get me to check out a series. Besides, its Gatchaman.
  11. Blah. Liz got to go berserk sometime considering her situation... and yes, the few times that I did die there were audio and cutscenes. It almost makes me want to go around and die a lot but that is terrible.
  12. They tried to close the loop but I'm not sure on how well they did on that part.
  13. Goat Simulator prereq is to be drunk, high or both.

  14. I've heard its pretty shit, sadly, but you should always take what the internet says with some grains of salt.
  15. The wild ride has ended... until the OVA which could be anything really. Next week... Mushishi!
  16. He pushed some retarded legislation some of which he heavily contradicted. Kind of on the level of some diehard Republicans being homosexual (I think anyways). On regards on his seat... I'll be surprised if the Republicans can secure a seat for that location. Also can Feinstein just... mold away or something. Please. Wasn't this posted... somewhere on here yesterday? Not that I recall.
  17. Historically, it has been $2 lower on Amazon, not sure about the Best Buy deal ($25 if I recall?) a while back but yeah, it is enough for me to bite.

  19. In complete opposite fashion to Bear Simulator... we'll get this where shit happens to a goat.
  20. Animals as Leaders released a new album a few days back. I finally got around to getting it.
  21. It taught me to not give a fuck about ultimate weapons. What matters is the boss fights and I can just as easily beat them with a weapon a tier or two lower.
  22. That was the part that confused me the most. For social/communication uses, they cannot get around the fact that people will have a goggle on. If they want to pull off 3D without making most people sick (And just plain physics), the form factor will have to be a goggle at the bare minimum. This is also before the fact that they would have to make a 3D camera that will shoot a high enough resolution and all that to make it work with VR. A good deal of people are wary as hell about cameras now (Have you seen people taping over laptop cameras?). Lets also not forget the abysmal internet connections we have around the US and elsewhere. A bet people can easily blow any internet caps they have with a communication OR setup. If it goes south, it would be for the above reasons. Oculus should more or less have free reign for now since they are the industry leaders and know what they are doing (Not to say that management won't come knocking). It would be foolish to mess around with it right now. On a side note.. I am wondering what the folks at Valve are thinking right now. They helped the Oculus folks to solve some of their problems. It'll still be quite nurtured since it is tied to the PS4. The specs for Morpheus would have to be bumped up to levels where the PS4 cannot reach if it goes officially PC-compatible. Regardless, I bet people will do port it to PC anyways (Think of the Wii-mote and the Kinect). My fear for the Morpheus is that it would be half-assed VR.
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QeQnAleI6k This made it worth it in FFIX. Then suddenly, Ozma. Edit: I cannot complete my sentences...
  24. That is why even though I am an optimist, I am also very cautious about this. I loath Facebook (Hell, I dropped it out of my life) but there is a dash to do VR right. Facebook is looking for a slice of that pie and they got it by purchasing the leading contender of this race. I don't think they'll run it to the ground. They want to have that tech and all that comes with it under their umbrella. At the worst we'll see a less than spectacular product by Oculus Facebook (Who will act more like Google or Microsoft) but it may led to a subtle change which then cascades into something akin to the cell/smart phone. It can also be way subtle like for me, the netbook to something like the Surface or T100 I have. A netbook was a half baked idea which to me evolved into concepts like the Surface or T100. As a consumer who want a VR headset, this is an interesting twist and by no means that VR will die (Though it can, kind of like motion controls [Fuck Kinect]). @FDS Since you just replied, I'll keep it short. Again, this is a gamble for a possible future. In that conference call, the investors also had the same concerns. This future that Oculus and Mark envision may never materialize but who knows at this point. They're talking in terms of 3, 5 and 10 years.
  25. https://soundcloud.com/highway62/internal-facebook-conference From what I have read and listen... I don't quite understand how communication thing will work. By the way they are talking, they're talking about person to person communications as well? How the hell is that pose to work if you two are wearing OR-like devices? It would also require a 3D camera. All the other uses... yes, I can see it being a thing. It however can only be a thing if the adoption rate is high enough due to number of users and what the users use it for. In a way, Oculus is willing to smear their name into the mud if it means that VR will be a norm in the future. Facebook as a whole has enough people and clout to make it reality. Just being a gaming accessory will most likely not make it stick. Yes, it is worrisome that it got acquired by Facebook but between being just a small thing and being a norm... I too would be willing to smear the company image if it means that this new norm will take root.
