I suppose a liquor store is just that in NYC. No beers. I'm trying to a lightning run through stuff I can't get easily in California. I think I'll need to go further than one mile out from my place since I doubt the corner stores will have stuff that I'm looking for.
  2. I recently went through Saga vol. 2 in one sitting. Maybe I'm not seeing the time switches or something but the pacing seems weird. Killer slave girl in one portion and somewhat normal the next. I understand the skips to the past like to the parents and the cliff hanger at the end. Other than that, very nice. Volume 3 will be a nice birthday and grad present in June.
  3. I see it as a better buy if you have a PC and either the PS4 or the X1. I can't see myself or someone like myself getting both the PS4 or the X1. They're too similar. But yes. If it is between all three it will be no contest. Wii U loses by a wide margin.
  4. True that. I think I'm done with pre anything. If not for cost but because of time. I hope its good though. I looked with longing eyes during the original release...
  5. Should I gamble $20 on Revengence PC port? I'm half expecting that it will be a broken port...
  6. The low income housing in East Harlem isn't so bad. Unexpectedly big and warm. A little hurt pride shouldn't hurt that bad...

three bedrooms go for between $3500 and $5000 in my area. A decent apartment is around $1200-$1500 a room, fancier ones can go as high as $2k a room.

The subsidized housing in my town can get as low as like $100-150/month for a 2-bedroom apartment. It can also be higher of course, it's on a sliding scale.

  7. Pacific Rim. Sure some of the stuff didn't make sense but as a giant robot versus monster movie, it works. I'm a bit upset that the Russians and the Chinese bowed out so quickly. Also the Chinese wasn't right for the region. Where the fuck was the Cantonese? Even with all those problems, I'll look forward to Pacific Rim 2 if it get made. I for sure look forward to Godzilla.
  8. I went with one of everything which I can see as being a liability (Can do a lot of things but not very well). Fortress and dancer up front with a sniper, medic and runemaster at the back. Dancer can do a dance that heals the front line and the fortress can use a healing attack (3 times) but the medic has healing duty. The dancer and the sniper actually has the hard hitting weapons and they tend to attack first. I really want to get a better weapon for the fortress. At this point I can at least defeat the first FOE so I was expecting something like that fight. Doesn't mean jack if I can get KO with one hit by the boss and I can't really afford to revive anybody.
  9. Man. This game is no joke. I figured level 10 would be fine for the first maze boss... nope. Wiped the floor with me. Having no way to revive... cheaply, is a pain. It doesn't help that the boss can one shot most of my people. GRIND. I'LL CRUSH YOU.
  10. I think I did alright on the GRE and it'll take me to at least where I need to go... I'm letting that sink in for a bit.

On a side note: The jerk who hosts America Unearthed is giving geologists a bad name.

Oh, that guy and program. Yeah they are pretty terrible. Honestly the dude is more of an archeologist. Geologic time is way beyond human time.

The most major changes/goals I see is better zombie AI with better placement, better netcode with at least 100 players and shitting.
  12. Welcome aboard. I'm the resident animu dude (Among others) and geologist in training. Panzer panzer.

    Help!

Dean directions for Chrome is correct but I suspect MJ and I use Firefox. The steps are: Click on image > Click on the save button (Opens a new tab) > Right click save > Close tab Its only a few more clicks and 2-3 more seconds but you know how us internet folks are. Efficiency. If it can be changed, great but if not then no big deal. Life goes on.

    Help!

I always wondered why does it requires the extra steps and honestly, at time I do forget how to do it.
  17. A TrackMania game might work. Hell, one of them is even free and that one should at least work. You could also throw him Midnight Club 2 which is pretty dated but at least that should work with your sister's computer.
  18. I think it comes down to me playing on hard mode while being very rusty with a controller (Though I still think its partially the game fault). I would have gotten through all the humps on normal. I feel the pacing and action was actually handled better in U3. It kept it interesting far more than U1 and U2. On normal, the pacing would of stayed intact. On hard, it was one choke point after another. I was not expecting to be stalled so many times. Part of the reason I was stalled so much is that in some choke points, you had to be careful where you moved to since you could spawn in more enemies and you'll simply be overwhelmed. So I adopted to staying in one spot which at times means I would have very little cover. A few times it also meant I got attacked from behind from spawning enemies. Also a few times I got checkpoints where I ran out of ammo completely or for the most useful guns so I either had to run up to melee an enemy or run to get ammo while hoping I don't get gunned down in 3 seconds. Eh, whatever. I beat the game in 2-4 sittings. If the gunplay was more enjoyable, I think I would have looked pass the difficulty like with Halo or something. Edit: Nazi Ethan, are you not entertained!?
  19. Well, bacterial meningitis at my school and my old high school got shot up? What a day.

      Mr. GOH!

bacterial meningitis is a non-event. I hope everyone is okay at your former high school.

The shooter was after a teacher/librarian. In his attempts to get his target he got two other kids. The teacher got away and with that the shooter seems to realize how fucked up with what he had done thus turned the shotgun to himself. The two kids are in the hospital but are otherwise alive. One of them underwent/undergoing surgery so eh.

      Shitty all around.

  20. Uncharted 3. It was alright. I prefer Uncharted 2 since it felt way smoother. I found myself to kind of floaty in movement. For combat, overall there is an insane amount of getting attacked from 2 to 3 sides and on hard mode that meant I died a ton. I think I died more in this first run than in a majority of other games' first run. Part of the reason was I hit a checkpoint that I didn't even know I got. I for sure didn't break all those pillars to down that armor car and now you send me to an unknown spawn with unknown enemies positions that may have a RPG/grenade launcher or swarm my position. The "supernatural" enemy this time is also a pain in the ass mainly for their sprints. At least give me a blur of their full movement. Also the horse parts are also a pain because of aiming issues... gah. I should of played on normal. Maybe I would of enjoyed this a lot more. Good god. I'm disoriented from playing this POS.
  21. Uncharted 3. Unless I gotten really crappy at console shooters or I just can't aim as well as I used to but holy hell is the aiming is kind of crappy. I used to murder folks in Uncharted 2 MP. I recall just having homing sights. Maybe guess hard mode takes off auto aim? Also should I be scared that my screen blanks out at times? I think its my PS3...
  22. Not like my 3DS is going anywhere. Missing the sale kind of sours the idea of getting it near full price. I feel it would unfairly bias my enjoyment of the game.
  23. Etrian Odyssey IV Might as well throw this on here since the demo can jump over to the retail version. Its for sure a hard little game where I find myself running back to town quite often. I love the map drawing system (I love making maps...). Since there doesn't seem to be a strong story holding the game together, I feel this is a good pick up and play for 20-30 minutes game which is ideal for me. Hopefully the gameplay is solid enough that I will keep on coming back to it. Remember, being brutally hard isn't always a good thing.
  24. Watch as this game goes on sale soon. I also kind of wish I could trust Nintendo's e-shop but I can't since if I brick my system somehow, I'm fucked.
