  1. Uncharted 3. It was alright. I prefer Uncharted 2 since it felt way smoother. I found myself to kind of floaty in movement. For combat, overall there is an insane amount of getting attacked from 2 to 3 sides and on hard mode that meant I died a ton. I think I died more in this first run than in a majority of other games' first run. Part of the reason was I hit a checkpoint that I didn't even know I got. I for sure didn't break all those pillars to down that armor car and now you send me to an unknown spawn with unknown enemies positions that may have a RPG/grenade launcher or swarm my position. The "supernatural" enemy this time is also a pain in the ass mainly for their sprints. At least give me a blur of their full movement. Also the horse parts are also a pain because of aiming issues... gah. I should of played on normal. Maybe I would of enjoyed this a lot more. Good god. I'm disoriented from playing this POS.
  2. Uncharted 3. Unless I gotten really crappy at console shooters or I just can't aim as well as I used to but holy hell is the aiming is kind of crappy. I used to murder folks in Uncharted 2 MP. I recall just having homing sights. Maybe guess hard mode takes off auto aim? Also should I be scared that my screen blanks out at times? I think its my PS3...
  3. Not like my 3DS is going anywhere. Missing the sale kind of sours the idea of getting it near full price. I feel it would unfairly bias my enjoyment of the game.
  4. Etrian Odyssey IV Might as well throw this on here since the demo can jump over to the retail version. Its for sure a hard little game where I find myself running back to town quite often. I love the map drawing system (I love making maps...). Since there doesn't seem to be a strong story holding the game together, I feel this is a good pick up and play for 20-30 minutes game which is ideal for me. Hopefully the gameplay is solid enough that I will keep on coming back to it. Remember, being brutally hard isn't always a good thing.
  5. Watch as this game goes on sale soon. I also kind of wish I could trust Nintendo's e-shop but I can't since if I brick my system somehow, I'm fucked.
  6. That sounds reasonable. In an ideal world, it should be the copyright holders/content creators that have the final and only say on how they would like their work to be monetized by fans. We can have blanket yes like with Paradox Interactive (Super cool by the way), something like what BIS is doing and outright no's. People may cry bloody murder if its a blanket no by the copyright holder but eh, their decision. What has been happening with Youtube right now (And for a while now, it just haven't been this bad) however is well, on Youtube's end as far as I can tell. Its a mess and it seems to flow back to our copyright laws. Though some (Most, really...) of it from what I recall is all on Youtube like how I can if I wanted to... flag a video for some copyright thing just because I can.
  7. Ico Despite the camera being a pain at times and Yorda's AI being dumb, I can look past those flaws (It is a 2001 game, 12-13 years ago). This is a solid game. It has simple mechanics where you can do some pretty cool stuff. The hand holding with Yorda, while crucial to the game (It helped Team Ico get around the AI limitations of the time), kind of made me attached to her. I felt bad trying to rush her along. Hell, Not as iconic as SotC but it holds up to the test of time. Good prequel (Storywise, it is a sequel) with simple but elegant gameplay. Kind of like SotC (You have a few moves but they come together so well). Also I lied when I said I won't be getting a PS4. Even if FFVX and MGSV get ported to the PC (Slim?), I will wait for the day that The Last Guardian comes out... whenever that is.
  8. I always found the idea of LPers getting paid odd. I can understand reviews and first impressions (Like WTF is...) creators getting paid since they're doing something with it. Not to say that LPers can't just show the game off without having to worry that some publishers axing them. I watch streams of games all the thing and the folks I watch don't get paid for it. There might be a donation every so often to keep the website and Ventrilo server running but that is it. I enjoy watching people playing (Most) games so it would be a shame if that is stopped. So yeah, I tilt my head at some of the monetizing aspects of sharing gameplay footage but I am against all this lazy and disruptive copyright claims by pubs. Edit: Though I suppose the ARMA II and III videos that I love so much from ShackTac wouldn't be possible without this monetization of gameplay footage. Though I don't think BIS cares since they're all about community created content.
  9. I'm holding off on this game for now. The three games I want to play right now are EO IV and Millennium Girl and Awakening. The two EO games are going to be similar to each other so I don't want to fatigue myself playing them back to back. So IV first, then Awakening and then Millennium Girl. Besides, I dropped a few hours into the demo for IV that will jump over to the full game. Pretty sweet deal. IV's price is about $10 off MSRP and it has been waning on Amazon (Gamestop is still at full price). Going to see what happens by tomorrow or Thursday.
  10. Almost sure we'll see something similar with the PS4 with the X1 being about half of the PS4. But... I suppose I can eat my words in ten years.
  11. This is one has the fully blessing of Toho and is closely monitored by them. Should wipe away the smear that the 1998 film was. But yeah. We're ODST now. Mutos and other kaijus get fucked. Godzilla seems more or less neutral. We get fucked if we get in his way though.
  12. OH YEEEEAH... I can't argue with that brother.
  13. Steam ID/Wishlist/Country: MaliciousH, of 'Merica General criteria: I actually tends towards indie games now as seen by my wishlist but honestly, any game can do. What are your favorite genres? RPGs, FPS, Arcade-y games, Action. Sandbox. Weird. Fabulous. Princess. What are your favorite games? FF Tactics, Disgaea, Shadow of the Colossus, Earth Defense Force 2017, Doom, Ys Series, Rising Storm, Minecraft Are you looking for any non-Steam gifts? 3DS games cost a ton so none of that... I guess you're stuck with PC. The game doesn't have to activate on Steam though. In short... ANYTHING GOES. HEAVEN OR HELL, LETS ROCK!
  14. So I took a dive at the demo today to compare to Etrian Odyssey IV. I can for sure see how awesome it can be but the demo is for sure a bit too short though hard mode is indeed a challenge and I can see how if you set your game perma death you WILL lose people on your first run through in the game. I'm still undecided with which game I want to get but Fire Emblem for sure have one thing going against it... I missed that Best Buy deal.
  15. Might as well grab Ys Seven. Its for the PSP so I'm sure you can find it in the PSN store. All solid games. Might be a bit simple and straightforward for some people though. I suspect the Vita one will be like Ys Seven where you have a party who more or less replaces the multiple sword concept from the older games. Adol though, will eventually get a kickass sword that ignores most of the switching. If you get Seven, I suggest training up EVERYBODY. I would do the same for the Vita game since I suspect something similar will happen in it where you'll have to use all your characters. Now I wonder what is XSeed's progress on The Legend of Heroes games. Easily one of the best news concerning JRPGs.

As far as the USA is concerned. They shouldn't get out of the group alive.
  18. Either I pissed off my ISP with downloading Uncharted 3 or this site is running quite slow.

      Aaaaand now it's slow again.

  19. The PA Report is dead. I read PAR every so often and I didn't see this coming. Then there is this reasoning. PATV is dead too. http://penny-arcade.com/2013/12/06/changes
  20. Night and day. I still have the original controllers at my place and man they are arkward to hold. I guess moving from the SNES and having kid hands helped.
  21. Maybe for the final draft of my senior project or master thesis. All the other times its just a simple staple.
  22. Binders are bulky (ask any professor) and those shitty folders are shitty. Though I suppose it is a possibility for reading papers. Stapling is just faster.
