I have the money for a Switch. It's just too hard to find and most importantly, it's only in the default skins! What is this madness!? I want my Splatoon colored Joy Cons! Pro Controller is not enough.

It took what, 2 years for Nintendo to meet demand for the Wii? This device isn't having the whole Wii Sports/Wii Fit mass appeal, so I would say these will probably be available on shelves reliably within 12-14 months of launch. Holiday will be a Nintendo bloodbath though. SNES Mini with exclusive Starfox 2 AND limited Switch supply.

Might be a slow burner of an album since it got to live up to Omega Arcane. Anti-Life Savior from this album is so far best song. This is a solid intro song though.

Hollow Knight If you even remotely like metrovanias, then the hype is very real. I would include Trails in the Sky the 3rd but it's technically not from this year. It's just here to back up FLD's claim. Then again we're both Falcom fanboys so why trust our judgement? As for games from this year, I still need to restart and/or finish NieR: Automata. I also got OneShot in the pipeline that's from late last year so it almost counts from being from this year. It this turns out to be a great game then it be a shame to have it be buried with games from 2016. -
Resident Evil: Vendetta I haven't gone through RE7 but this movie is RE4-6 in terms of style. I could leave it at that but nah. First off, I should say I kind of enjoyed this because I came in knowing what I was getting myself into. I would put it in the OK Movie thread but that's a bit generous since: You cannot create tension if you bring in known characters like Chris, Leon and Rebecca. They cannot die. So any new characters that are introduced are death flagged and actually die. I only recall two people who weren't. This all was kind of expected though. What puts this in this movie in this thread is the cuts which makes very little sense. This is especially the case towards the end of the film. I can be entertained by ridiculous feats but bad cuts is just bad. Anyhow I doubt any of you guys care so open spoilers: They opened up cans of worms with being able to turn zombies back. Take the dude who ate his wife. How would he feel after getting turned back? Hell, does the wife die TWICE? Once after being eaten and again after being turned back to human. Like holy shit.

Main thing so far for me is that it seems to be rehashing the themes of the original for a new generation. It leaves the fans of the original (e.g., you and me) kind of on the sidelines. Having a FLCL for us 20-somethings would be nice.

There's a trailer for FLCL season 2 and 3 out in the wild now for AX. I'm still HIGHLY skeptical of this since I believe this didn't need to happen. Also Girls' Last Tour is getting an anime adaption. Trigger also announced three project they have. One is supposedly like Kill la Kill and Gurren Lagann. Hefty goals.

Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight After a few weeks break from gaming, I walk back into another metrovania with tight controls and an interesting setting. If I were to compare this to Hollow Knight, I would say it is way harder. You have healing items like how the Souls games does it. No gaining healing items while out and about so management of what you have is paramount. Enemies hits hard so I died a bunch already with only like a hour played. I probably died this much in Hollow Knight around the end game. Exploration wise, so far it is a straight-ish road with a lot of paths that you cannot take yet. Not sure yet how I will like it but there is a warping mechanism that I haven't unlocked yet. Music is so far alright too. Momodora might turn out to be another gem that shows off great but with a different approach to a metrovania.

Train to Busan This would've been in the good movie thread if there seemed to be some consistency to the infection and how the survivors dealt with zombies (Busan got it right though). Everything else is pretty ace. I love the characters and how some of they grew and played off each other. For example, the MC and the CEO. The MC is/was pretty much the selfish CEO until he grew out of it. It was an interesting to see. Are the characters a bit stereotypical? Yes but they are well done.

After having the taskbar on the bottom all my life, I'm trying it out on the top or right side. Having a secondary monitor on the left is kind of a pain in the ass.

Secondary monitor on the left? Why not put it on the right, just move them around "virtually" with the Display Options. Also I occasionally give a shot to side task bar since I'm like "I've a wide screen monitor, sites n programs are fine with less than wide screen" but it never lasts. I may however soon be giving Portrait monitor a shot.

It's weird to move my mouse to the right to go to a monitor on the left. With how the taskbar is placed, I vritually have it on the bottom left. I also hide my taskbar so I still get the full screen real estate to use.
Lastly, my tower is to my right so that's why I want the main monitor to the right. Maybe someday I'll get a nicer monitor for a main one. Not to say my main one isn't nice but it can rotate to portrait.

They will. They always do. I'd be amazed if Nintendo learned from the NES Classic. I doubt I can get one for $79.99 in the Bay Area if I slip up even by an hour. Amazon stock will probably get gobbled up by bots too. Or maybe they'll learn and pump this shit out. Also, is Final Fantasy III actually III or VI?

Little Witch Academia is over and with that a hole in my heart appeared. Studio Trigger had fun making this series and I had fun watching it from the original Mirai project, to the Kickstarter and now the TV series. I believe in this series (to the tune of $300 for Kickstarter and now the BDs) and it hasn't let me down yet. Yes, the series has some issues like introducing things to only let it hang but the characters makes up for it. Akko for best baka, Ursula-sensei for best teacher, Sucy for being Sucy and much much more. Oh yeah, Diana is best girl. Hoping for a new OVA or series in the future. This is the kind of series I'd show to my niece.

So this is a thing. Personally this series flew over my head back on the PS2. Maybe it is time to play it. This one contain all three of the G.U. games so prepare for a long haul. From what I am gathering this remaster is to act as a bridge to a newer game.

No since I don't see human as food. Note: I have a hard time seeing lab grown meat as being what and where their respective cells came from. It's literally just "meat". It's akin to pointing to the entire animal(s) when you see grounded pork, beef or whatever. Not to say that I won't eat it. Lab grown meats would open up some interesting culinary options because you don't have to just stop with just a beef or pork base. Like can you get a steak that's like a beef steak but with hints of lamb? Or just say fuck it, lamb masquerading as a beef steak. Or human masquerading as beef.

I seem to recall holding off on a Steam Controller due to a possible revision soon or am I mis-remembering things again (Like forgetting Obi Wan Kenobi's name)? Maybe I should just jump on it. @Mister Jack is in for a great time. Hollow Knight and Dragon's Dogma DA? As for myself, I may just sit out this sale. My backlog of games that I care about is still active and i have little time now when I am juggling a job and thesis work.

That's like the coolest and worst thing to witness. Like "Ooo, evaporation! Scienc-" but then it's turns into the soggy buttcrack of Florida in the span of in a few minutes when the ambient air temperature and the sun takes it to the logical conclusion. Or as my parents call it "Hong Kong". In cases where I encountered those or similar days, I had AC somewhere so it wasn't too bad. Also 34°C is about 93°F which is just about when things get shitty. You don't need 100°+F to be shitty. If it is humid though, the temperature needed to be shitty is lower. I'd argue that you can put it in the upper 80°F for the start because: With higher temperature, the quicker it saps you of energy. With dry heat, you can kind of still work even at 110°F. It's an oven but you'd be fine and be downing water (with a salt source) like crazy.

I saw them live with Sabaton and I never realized one of their album is full of songs inspired by Berserk. And they were great live. The lead vocal is so damn bouncy!
