Well they got a small update out that (from what I can tell) reset the options I've selected but at least it fixed having M+KB prompts on some stuff and controller prompts on other stuff.

From the look of my Steam popup, you should've taken a screenshot for each crash. You might've gotten like ten shots.

This might have to do with more with my computer but game hangs more and chugs more than any games I've played recently. I suspect it is due to the procedural generation. That might not be playing well with my 6 GB of RAM (surprised that that is below the minimum) and my older i7 950 (I suspect this is mostly the culprit). Maybe putting the game on my SD will help?

I can't help but feel that this fan project is a missed opportunity at a Not-Pokemon game in the spirit of how Stardew Valley is to Harvest Moon. Still, a lot of creativity has gone into it and it looks polished. I'm impressed.

It's July. What Are Your Favourite Games of the Year So Far?

I totally forgot about that but if I recall this will be the closest the PC gets to a Monster Hunter game. I'm totally looking forward to it and hoping that the port doesn't suck. Little King Story that just came out on Steam has a horrible port so: worry Also I guess I can add one more to the list: Earth Defense Force 4.1. I don't think I need to say anything about this than I've clocked in over 200 hours since launch. It's one of my favorite games, period. -
Maybe I should play a new Pokemon game. I'm one of those old timers who only ever played the first few (e.g., Red and Blue). I just can't shake my distaste for stuff like the Alola forms. I just feel overwhelm I guess?

I would love to play TLG but I'm not getting a PS4 for just that. Upgrading my old but trusty PC comes before getting a PS4. Maybe I will play it on one of my brothers' PS4 when I got visit.

For a more popular culture focus. TED talk with some caveats like say "Do we really know what gene(s) causes XYZ?". You know, I feel bad for any potential long-lived children or grandchildren of ours. They will be living in and cleaning up our climatic mess. Sure they could engineer the hell out of the problem but you're essentially telling them to dip their toes in directed terraforming. Then again they potentially won't have to deal with cancer and other fucked up diseases. It's a fair trade...

It was unclear. It was either the 9th or 12th. Hello Games clarified it a few hours ago.

Huh. I thought it was reported that it was definitely the 12th a month ago or thereabouts.

The official site said something along the lines of "Releasing August 9 in NA, PC worldwide on August 12". Since previously it had been reported as August 9 in NA people were unsure if it was an actually change or if it was just bad wording on the site, and Hello Games wouldn't comment until yesterday.

At this point I think I'm just waiting for a port report before I purchase. Will it meet the hype? Probably not but as long as it's not Spore level of crashing into the ground then I'm fine. The leaked players doesn't seem to have much of anything terrible to say about the game. Review copies are going out on Monday to coincide with the Day One patch. Kind of crappy but understandable. Might have something by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Hello Games now gotten a month worth of what I assume to be a day one patch ready. It will be interesting to see what issues it fixed or balanced. Now to wait for the NMS subreddit to bitch about a day one patch. Remember: A game may consume you (when released) but it is not your life.
