  1. From what I've seen, it's not bad. Each characters got their own quirks which helps with changing things up. For example, Mikasa is fast as hell compared to the others. Then we have Armin... he's can sic his team on a titan with great efficiency. If I didn't get the God Eater games, I would've gotten AoT.
  2. The in-engine cut scenes in Resurrection is just comical. It's pretty much just the character models moving. Whatever emotions the VAs are doing is lost in the progress. Not a big deal. It's tying the game play and game world together. I have purpose. Additionally in the cut scenes and in other parts of the game you can see the influences of being on the PSP. Not to say it is bad but it's there. Anyhow, I can see how the gameplay will get good*. It can be fast pace and have a lot of actions and commands you can do. It is just hampered by poor controller setup. On PC, the item and be bounded to the number keys while the orders can be their shift-# equivalent. Right now it is just clunky to use items and orders (Tab > Q or E to scroll > left click to use or press another button to change to orders). Combat isn't too bad though but the clunkiness is still there. I honestly don't know how it will be on a controller but I just like the mouse to use to aim (toggled by holding Q with the gun selected) and to look around. My initial use of a controller is just sluggish in those regards. I also don't feel like experimenting to see how a bunch of stuff works either... I'm still finding stuff out with the KB+M configuration. *Flying around with a giant spear is kind of awesome. Not to mention I can bust out my gun to wreck shit or maybe chew on something. I think I need to change my approach to this game... I should view it as a Symphogear simulator. Music would match too!
  3. Regarding Berserk and the current events... Oh yeah.
  4. I'm actually not sure which one to really start with but God Eater 2 Rage Burst comes with Resurrection which seems to be a remake of a remake of the first game. I've decided to go with the first game (Resurrection) in chronological order. Performance wise, it's all fine. 60 FPS and an alright option menu. There's actual mouse cursor selection in the menus! Some of them are rather janky though. Gameplay wise, it is clunky but I've only played the two tutorial missions. After a few weeks off gaming even my beloved EDF 4.1 was a bit weird so I'll give this game some time before I pass a informed judgement. One thing for sure though, it is no Ys level of tight gameplay... I think.
  5. Heard that the port is fine if not I'll return it. I never played any Monster Hunter or any of its clones so this will be a first.
  6. Time to 'Strike the Earth!' once again.

    1. Mr. GOH!

Dang not been on that in a while. It's a game that wants a fair amount of attention. Rimworld seems the better option these days.

  7. I'm curious about that one since it's coming to Steam along with the first one. I tried a demo for Monster Hunter on PSP years ago and didn't really get it. Any chance I might feel differently about God Eater? From what I've heard, it does a much better job of explaining what the hell you're supposed to be doing and is overall a better entry into the genre. Is that true? In short, if you like your monster hunting with a good dose of story then you should definitively check out GE. Tough if you're eyeing out the PC version I would suggest waiting to check port quality. Apparently it isn't a shit port.
  8. I just got done with The Three-Body Problem. Shit just gets crazy towards the end. Kind of wished some sides were explored more but man, what a ride. I should get the sequel and crush that in time for the final book.
  9. I need a way to catch up with Rebels. Getting stuff spoiled isn't great but it comes with not having a way to watch it legitimately.
  10. So I now know that I'm more nervous about a paper disk than a metal one.
  11. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-nation/wp/2016/08/18/justice-department-says-it-will-end-use-of-private-prisons/?postshare=9221471534255226&tid=ss_tw&utm_term=.8b2d11636d73 So the phasing out of private prisons is a thing on the federal level now. It's the right move. Now we need state and local to follow suit.
  12. It'll be quite interesting to see how the trucking industry adapts. It is anybody's guess. My hunch is where most truck stops are now will still be there but now it's more of a function of checking if everything is kosher with the cargo and truck. Could be as simple as checking if the seals on the truck cargo hold is intact and what they should be. Could be more involved. The checkers could be from the owners of the trucks like UPS, Swift, U-haul or some new contractor companies. These places also could be where come a representative is based that can go to accident sites. In the end though, it'll be (I suspect) less people employed in this industry.
  13. I doubt anybody cares anymore but Bleach is finally over.
  14. It's always good to toss in some gameplay videos. One odd thing I've noticed is that while regular enemies do have feedback from getting hit the boss doesn't. Got to wait till release to know for sure.
  15. Fuck. My NMS save got deleted since I failed to back it up...

At the very least Windows boots up very fast again and Chrome isn't a POS so now I have a way to remote connect to my computer. I wonder if I have Wake On LAN...

Wait, is it not in Windows.old?

  16. Everything works! Now I shouldn't have to worry for another six years.

  17. It was demons all the long. Not nanomachines. And fuck Konami.
  18. Whoever said that the world was safe never faced down a Edit: Spoiled it if one of you want to go about it organically.
  19. Exhausting all the planets in the star system, I had to buy a new ship for a hyperdrive. Luckily this new one has more space and a hyperdrive upgrade to boot. The only "problem" is this new star system has a planet with theropod aka meat-eating dinosaur aka T-rex. Welcome to Jurassic Park.
  20. I'm trying to find one by going to a higher classed star system but I'm having a bitch of a time finding all the resources and blueprints to build what I need. Chrysonite is not anywhere when I need it. Before hand I had a bunch. I would backtrack to some other planets but my hyperdrive is busted. I guess I could buy a new ship at the space station. On the bright side I got two new hyperdrive upgrades that I'm waiting to build...\ Edit: Copper is another thing I'm having trouble finding. But you know what? Wiki it. I just can't be running around blind like this. And this current planet is a Sentinel hellhole. Great riches but robotic hellhounds and constant harassment by the flying ones is a thing here.
  21. I do the same thing but yeah, I'm talking about the ship itself. You can get stuck. I have a video but Youtube is being a POS and won't upload anything for me.
  22. Don't land and take off from next to a wall. You'll die.
  23. I noticed this while trying to find a star system to jump to: there are four classes of stars to go to. I think now I have a goal besides getting to the center. @TCP Yeah, I misunderstood it. Kind of easy to if you just deal with one after another in a span of 6 hours. I kind of got the hint of just three alien races in a monolith though. Edit: And if I don't get a refund, I guess I wouldn't even be mad.
