  1. Gonna have to go with servers on this one. All my experiences with matchmaking have been wholly negative. It never puts you with the right people.
  2. Sam Fisher. When a man has nothing left, he stands by his convictions. And his guns. Also, he can be quite persuasive when he wants answers.
  3. NGP. Sounds cool. Makes me want to buy it. They should do a Kevin Butler commercial with this once it releases.
  4. It's a comment echoed by the Cynical Brit in his video. It's an indie studio. An indie studio making their first game. You expect them to make promises about the game. You expect them to try to keep some of their promises, but end up having to cut corners in one way or another that would most likely have lowered the quality of the overall game, and possibly make it suck. The things the developers promised in Magicka are all there, and actually worked, and to a fantastic degree. Also, thank you for conveniently leaving that part out in your little rant. On another note, does anyone know what the second element is for the Rain magick? I think it's Air, but I can't seem to get it to work.
  5. The fast sprinters are called Stalkers, last I recall.
  6. Wow. Kindly sod off. Because, obviously, every single indie game ever made becomes an instant success, much less reaching the top of Steam's top-selling list on the release day.
  7. Okay, I like Rift a LOT more now. Trion definitely knows how I like my Clerics. Mace+Shield toting Chainmail bastard that can dish and take punishment like it was nothing!

  8. Just sent out a wave of invites. I'm [WDZ] MidnightSun for anyone who wants to add me.
  9. Okay, I got it to work. The game is actually pretty good despite being indie (and their first game as well). The final boss battle was tricky at first, but I'll just leave one piece of advice: You can't hurt him when he's idle, but striking right when he's about to attack will work wonders. Cool game.
  10. BLARGH. The demo doesn't work for crap on my end.
  11. After this glowing review courtesy of the Cynical Brit, I am actually very much interested in trying this game out now. Will definitely try to pick it up in the near future. Also, I like spells. Particularly ones that are so awesome that I sort of question why it isn't a standard for wizards already. No mana, no long-winded incantations, just chalk up some elements and let the spell work its magic. Awesome. EDIT: It would appear that I posted in the wrong area. Would like to request a move to MultiPlat, please.
  12. I made a crack joke about Warren Spector, since there was an article talking about him wanting to make a Zelda game. It was a running joke from Deus Ex about sunglasses at night. *zing!* Starred!
  13. No, I won't pirate anymore. I have years of hard cold cash saved up, just that there isn't technically a lot of retail stores (save for Gamestop, but they don't sell the PC games I want) around here. I find it a double-edged sword nowadays due to the fact that not many games make it on to my must-buy list anymore. The nearest is 10 minutes to Best Buy, and I don't have a car. The only solution is to somehow worm the parents to go to Best Buy when I go home for the weekends, and they're usually suspicious whenever I go to any store that sells games. Note that these are the kinds of parents who think videogames are as bad as being hooked on drugs. EDIT: For reference, I don't pirate in college. I enjoy being able to play F2P games on a whim with my blazing fast connection. Shame about port forwarding, though.
  14. Just popping into this thread for a moment. Did I pirate? Yes. Do I still pirate? No. Mostly due to the fact that I can finally use a goddamn credit card (which I received at the beginning of college) for all those freaking Steam sales. Then the parents found out that I was buying games on the credit card and ground me from buying games with it (it has a paper trail when I use it, so I can't lie and buy stuff anyways). So, yeah. At least at college I enjoy a blazing-fast internet connection. 10 gigs in 15 minutes!
  15. I eat just about anything in one bite. Or as many big bites they can fit into. My parents and relatives have constantly asked me why I eat so fast. Most of the time, I don't even realize I eat that fast. Likewise, it pisses me off when somebody takes forever to eat something. Like that stupid punk-ass munchkin in 7th grade that took 17 bites to eat a fucking chip that was 2 inches in diameter.
  16. I wrote in cursive. In third grade. I still can, albeit horribly. My signature also looks like an assortment of squiqqles.
  17. I use Nvidia cards, and usually eVGA brand if I can get them from there. I don't really trust any of the others. I may use an ATI/AMD card in the future, but we'll see how that goes. I recognize Nvidia models much better than ATI ones. Speaking of which, what's the ATI/AMD equivalent of the GTX460?
  18. Tiberian Sun and Full Spectrum Warrior, both full-fledged games, are also free to play. No, I mean, literally. They're free.
  19. Rift beta: I like it because my male Cleric doesn't look like a homosexual in frilly robes.

    1. TheForgetfulBrain

      TheForgetfulBrain

I'm curious to check out Rift - might do so once it hits Open. Got a Beta Event invite at the turn of the year, but wasn't home to try it.

  20. "Where we're going, we won't need eyes." PC ELITISM, GO!
  21. I remember seeing a Michael Jackson gif someone posted up in one of the threads. I'm looking for it again so I can save it. :P

  22. Linky I think I'll just pull a quote I got off the back of a biker's jacket: "Screw God, believe in yourself."
  23. Since this was put up: EVA2.0 in American theaters, etc, etc. I think I'll say it right now. I hate Evangelion. Never understood the appeal, nor the popularity of what I think is the bastard child of people on crack and emoness. That is all.
